  Cannot say enough about our stay at Villa Lomas and Bruce and Alvaro's hopsitality. The gardens are beautiful and Alvaro's garden tour was a highlight. We also loved Bruce's paintings throughout the property. This was our 12th trip to Rincon and our first stay at Villa Lomas and we will be back! The outdoor living space is amazing and everything meticulously neat and clean. Thanks, Bruce and Alvaro, and hope to see you soon. Chris and Suzy

  I can't even begin to say how beautiful and restful the villa was nor how wonderful our hosts were. We had big plans for everything we wanted to see and do in the area, but the villa, the pool, and gardens were so lovely we hardly ever left! It was like heaven! So relaxing! It was just what we needed after our busy jobs. The villa is decorated very tastefully and we enjoyed Bruce's paintings and the African art in the villa. Furnishings in the villa, on the verandas, and around the pool is top quality. We had access to the owners WIFI and the TVs looked new, but we never used them. Why bother when you have such a beautiful view of the Caribbean and Desecheo Island! Alvaro communicated with me via email and answered all my questions before we left and was so concerned about our safe arrival (we had missed the first leg of our flight) that he called both our cell phone and our home to make sure we were alright! When we arrived in the dark that first night after 10 PM, he patiently stayed on the phone to talk us through the winding roads to the house and Bruce stood at the gate with a flashlight to wave us in! It made us feel like family! That night during our late arrival we asked about breakfast and our hosts suggested a lovely place for breakfast just down the road: The English Rose. They even called ahead the next morning and let them know we'd be there and then advised us when we got up that they were expecting us and how late they were open! The garden tour is not to be missed if you love plants and flowers. Your toughest choice while there is which veranda you will sit on to enjoy the view and when to swim in the impeccably clean pool. When the second house we had rented was a complete disappointment we called and asked if we could come back. Lucky for us they were able to accommodate us for a few extra days. Alvaro's warm response was "Yes, come on home". Once again, Bruce and Alvaro waited up for us to drive across PR and welcomed us back "home" late at night. We really DID feel like family. If you are lucky enough to have a chance to stay at this beautiful, well maintained villa, I'm sure you'll never forget it. It was a wonderful vacation for my husband, adult son, and me.

  We are happy to strongly recommend Villa Lomas for those looking for a quiet paradise get-away. Our hosts were delightfully welcoming and helpful in providing recommendations and driving directions for local restaurants, beaches, and things to do around Rincon and nearby towns. Villa Lomas is a short drive from the Aguadilla airport (about 30 min), is surrounded by beautiful gardens and sits at the top of a hill, providing beautiful views of the ocean and surrounding areas. Food shopping, cafes and various beaches are all a short drive away, or you can spend your day simply lounging at the private pool (which gets both sun and shade). The property was clean, well-maintained, and provided everything we needed (towels, fully stocked kitchen, beach chairs, etc.). We enjoyed grilling some of our meals on the deck, watching the glorious sunsets, and falling asleep to the sounds of the coqui frogs. We took one evening to drive to the Bioluminescent Bay (about 1.5 hours south of Rincon) and stopped through the town of Isabella on our way back to the airport (best visited in the daytime). We were only able to stay for four days, but we could have happily passed three or four weeks just exploring the various beaches of Rincon and relaxing at Villa Lomas. We would certainly recommend Villa Lomas to friends and family - and hope to return in the future!

  My 3 friends and I have just returned from Rincon and haven't stopped gushing about the fantastic experience we had there. A huge part of this was the beautiful Villa Lomas, which absolutely lives up to its name! Villa Lomas's immaculately decorated apartment was perfect for our girls week away and provided us with the perfect place in which to relax and catch up. Situated in a private location with stunning views of the surrounding greenery and ocean you'll quickly understand why the villa has so many balconies, we spent most of our time out there! The pool is a fantastic addition and was much enjoyed. The kitchen is adequately equipped for home cooked meals, although we preferred using the BBQ grill! Fully stocked with fresh linen and towels there was no need to use the laundry room available. A huge thank you to Alvaro and Bruce for their kindness and advice. We hope to return some day soon! In my honest opinion, in Rincon, you can't do much better than Villa Lomas!

  My partner and I stayed at Villa Lomas for 4 nights in January 2011, and were very, very pleased with our experience. The rate at which we rented the apartment was superb, especially with the amount of space, the privacy, and (lucky for us) exclusive use of the salt water pool. The views from the expansive patio were matchless, especially at sunset. The hosts, Alvaro and Bruce, were very kind, hospitable and welcoming with both their time and attention. The tour of their incredible garden was a nice touch. We were looking for a quiet, serene place away from noise and tucked into the natural flora of Western PR. We would return and stay with them in a heartbeat!

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

  We cannot say enough about how wonderful our experience here was. The views are so gorgeous, the pool and grounds are impeccably maintained, and we felt truly pampered and relaxed. The owners made us feel so at home, and we cannot wait to come back! A perfect place for a romantic getaway or relaxing escape. Unparalled views of Rincon, Desecheo island, and sunsets so beautiful we planned our day around them to make sure we wouldn't miss one. I cannot immagine a more fabulous place to stay in Rincon.

  If there is a paradise in the Caribbean, its headquarters is the Villa Loma. The property exceeded all of my expectations. It is a lovely home with two large bedrooms, a large kitchen and a salt water pool. Situated on top of one of the highest hills in Rincon, it has a covered terrace with a 180 degree view of the sea and a tropical garden that rivals gardens I have paid to visit. The owners, who live there, could not have been more accommodating and friendly and they simply could not do enough for us. We hated to leave them and my wife cried when we had to say goodbye. As for Rincon, the beaches are varied with sea and wave conditions for everyone. The restaurants are plentiful, very casual and laid-back. We are eagerly looking forward to our next visit to Villa Loma and to seeing our hosts Alvaro and Bruce again. Villa Loma is perfect for two couples and I would recommend this property without hesitation.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, age 55+.
