  We stayed at Precious during the last week of December. Words can't express how wonderful of a time we had there. The cabin is beautiful. The location is wonderful. It was so relaxing to be sitting in the living room and hear the water from the creek nearby. Not to mention the beautiful pictures my husband took of it. The cabin has everything that you need. A home away from home. Since we are from Florida, we were happy with the easy access into the cabin, especially when it was snowing. The cabin is centrally located, close enough to downtown Boone but even closer to the ski slopes. It was very quiet and peaceful. We were even lucky enough to have a deer visit our porch one morning. Doesn't get any better than that. We will definitely be staying at Precious again!!!

  We spent New Year's in this beautiful cabin and enjoyed every minute. This was my family's first time venturing to the mountains and Precious made the experience unforgettable. The property is completely renovated and decorated beautifully. It had everything we could possibly need...even a crib for my 7-month old. The cabin is very cozy. It is on the smaller side but very comfortable and roomy at the same time. The beds were extremely comfortable. Our stay at Precious felt like home. The location is great with easy in and out access to everything (Restaurants, Supermarket, etc). Sugar, Beech and Grandfather are all near by. We were lucky to get this property. We would definitely consider going back in the future.

  This was a FANTASTIC place to stay. Very clean, rustic, and yet all of the modern conveniences of home. The decor is beautiful and cozy. We will be back!

  My wife and 5 and 6 year old had a wonderful, relaxing time at "Precious". It snowed both nights we were there - made an absolutely beautiful property even more beautiful. Thanks for sharing your cabin with us - We'll definately be back!!

  My family just stayed at "Precious" while vacationing in Boone/Blowing Rock. We just love this area and have now found our favorite place to stay. This historic old cabin has been lovingly restored with all modern amenities and with new kitchen and bathrooms. The decor is so charming and the house is spotless and roomy....a real one of a kind!!!. My children loved playing games in the yard and woods and especially playing in the creek that runs right through the yard.

  Our family of five has immensely enjoyed every one of our visits to this adorable cabin! We have had the pleasure of lodging in Precious on several occasions, most recently this past August. This is the most cozy, clean, quaint, well-decorated cabin you’ll ever rent, guaranteed! It is an ideal cabin for a family with small children for so many reasons. You can put the children to bed upstairs, then enjoy some quiet time downstairs either in the kitchen, den, master bedroom, or out on the covered porch listening to the soothing sounds of nature. Although it is nestled along a private drive and invisible from the nearest street, it is very close to many family attractions such as Tweetsie Railroad, Blowing Rock, Grandfather Mountain, gem mining, various hiking trails, Valle Crucis park, the Mast General Store (and Annex), and snow skiing, just to name a few. If you want to just hang out at the cabin with your family, it’s perfect for that as well. There is a creek for the children to enjoy exploring as well as a grassy, flat yard for outdoor games (we even pitched our six man tent in the yard just for the children to play around in during our last visit). The well-equipped kitchen and gas grill also make it easy for preparing your own meals if you aren’t in the mood to venture out to any of the nearby restaurants. Precious is definitely not your typical “rental cabin”. It has many luxuries and is exceptionally clean and organized. There are wonderful, new appliances as well as super comfortable beds! Not that you should be surfing the net or watching TV while on vacation in the beautiful mountains, but it is equipped with both wireless internet as well as an array of stations on both televisions. From the moment you walk in the door, it is very apparent the owners take great care of this cabin, as do all the visitors! You will be more than satisfied with your stay in this “precious” cabin and will definitely want to visit again (probably for a relaxing getaway without the children)!

  We stayed at this cabin for a weekend with our family of five. What a delightful place! The rustic appearance of the outside doesn't do justice to the tastefully decorated and roomy interior. The cabin is well maintained with many conveniences including satellite t.v. and wireless internet. The real pleasure is sitting on the porch, listening to the sound of the water flowing over the rocks in the stream that runs beside the cabin. We couldn't believe how easy it was to access and how quickly we could travel to the nearby towns and attractions. Many places here in the mountains require climbing very steep, treacherous hills. However, you will find this cabin just off the main road tucked away in a beautiful, quiet hollow. We highly recommend this cabin and plan to stay here again.

  Wow. Precious is absolutly that, precious. Our stay was in August of 2011. The cabin is in a great mountain location with wonderful views and local attractions very close. The cabin is also very well accomidated with a beautiful kitchen, a cozy living room and bedrooms. The cabin was also extremly clean and very organized and well kept. Our stay was truly a treat and we look forward to staying at Precious many more times in the future.

  What a fantastic getaway cabin in the mountains. I live in Boone and stayed in Precious with family that were visiting. I felt like I was on vacation myself. Precious is a very cozy place and has all of the ammenities you need! High Speed internet allowed me to get a little work done while I was there as well. We chose to stay in a lot and just enjoy sipping coffee on the covered porch or sipping wine- depending on hour of the day! Loved relaxing with the screen doors hearing the breeze and watching movies on the direct tv (tons of channels!) We were able to cook meals together in the high end kitchen (granite counters- adorable red cabinets) and play at the creek and in the flat yard with the kids. (flat yards are tough to come by in the mtns). We had a great time...looking forward to going again soon as the weather cools off and enjoying the gas stove!

  We have stayed at "The Precious" several times and can't think of enough good things to say - it is a beautifully renovated home, decorated with excellent taste, with every amenity you could wish for, and it is spotless and well-maintained to boot. Sitting on the porch in the morning reading the paper and listening to the creek just can't be beat. We always hate to leave...
