This very clean, spacious studio was a highlight of our stay in Paris. It had every amenity. Of course, Eric checked in on us to insure we were comfortable and offer any help we needed. This was greatly appreciated. The location was perfect for us, and allowed us to visit all the essential places of interest and also live in a neighbourhood that is the quintesential Paris. The studio lacks nothing, and is an excellent palce to stay for two to three persons. It is quiet and peaceful, and the view of the garden provided a spacious feeling that would be very enjoyable in warmer weather.. We would highly recommend it and hope to visit again.

This extremely comfortable studio occupies one of the most glorious locations in Paris. Entering the street from the secure confines of a lovely residential building, one is met with the remarkable buttresses of Notre Dame. The view stops you in your tracks every time. To get to the view, however, you must book the studio apartment (4* for ease of booking) from its owner/manager Eric. Eric is a Parisian who speaks fluent English (and German) and kindly, promptly, answers all of your questions. A thoughtful man, he sends Alexandra (fluent English, French, Portuguese) in to keep the studio immaculately clean. So before the buttresses, there are good storage areas, a sizable bathroom with LOTS of hot water and superior water pressure, comfortable seating, an excellent mattress, a very well-equipped galley kitchen, and a small deck which overlooks your very own secluded courtyard. Now you are ready for the buttresses; Notre Dame is a 5-min walk. The Ile St-Louis is also a 5-min stroll, just over the Pont de la Tournelle. On the more practical side, a Franprix on Rue de Poissy (5 min) nets you basic groceries; the Ile St-Louis offers a Nicolas wine shop, an excellent fromagerie, an irresistible boulangerie/patisserie, a charming little grocery - and the best ice cream in the city at Berthillon. Not in the mood to cook? The always fun La Rotisserie du Beaujolais is next door; tiny and very local Les Ronchons is a 90 sec walk; traditional Chez Rene is 5 min away; my favorite, Mon Vieil Ami, is just over the bridge on Ile St-Louis. Honestly: this Romantic little studio is supremely comfortable and offers one the opportunity to live as a local while also placing the enthusiastic explorer in prime territory. I have visited Paris for three decades; staying in Eric's studio is the most fun I have ever had! Highly recommended for 1, 2, or 3 people (if the third is a child). I will return with my husband and granddaughter, although I must admit that being alone in this studio, in this section of Paris, under Eric's watchful but unobtrusive presence, sits at the top of a bucket list I did not even know I had.

I'll keep it short - this was a great value in a great location. It was a big apartment with a huge backyard (would be great in the summer). The location is about 10 minutes walking from Notre Dame and it is on the main street closest to the river - there is nothing closer. We walked to the famous Rue Moufftard street and bought all kinds of great cheese/bread/meats/wine and ate at least one meal a day in the apartment (which has a kitchen) and saved tons of money. For anyone considering VRBO, this was our first experience and it WON'T be our last. We were worried about how the payment works (deposit through paypal well upfront, cash deposit upon arrival, etc) - and everything went perfectly. I wouldn't worry about that and I would book this place again!

We are a very active 70 year old married couple and had been to Paris on many occasions for short periods of time. Thus, we thought we knew what areas would be best for us to stay for a period of one month (We did take two short trips to other parts of France, via the TGV during that month). Our main requirements included a "central" location, easy access to the Metro, RER and train stations, river availability, easy walking to nighttime action, reasonably priced restaurants, museums, markets, etc. Eric's apartment gave us all of this and more. While we did go to all the usual Paris sights, our objective was to go to different neighborhoods each day, using River Studio as a base. While not large, the Apt was plenty adequate for our needs, and having our own private garden, through our French doors, was a god-send to use for a relaxing rest after an exhausting day of wandering, or to entertain friends who were in the City at various times. To be able to walk out our front door to a bridge leading to the Isles, or the Marais, within minutes, was a real bonus, in this secure ground level "flat". During one of the weeks's there was a major French movie being filmed, right outside our door, on and under the bridge and on the Seine. What a thrill, yet our apt was so quiet we could not hear the "action" nor any road or river traffic. When we return to Paris, we will use this place again, and have no hesitation in recommending it for two people who want a well located reasonable place to stay with friendly and helpful locals, and a true flavor of what a Pais stay can and should be.

My wife and I are VRBO veterans and this space and its location are the best we've experienced, and considering the whole package, represents an excellant value. The owner is fluent in English and provided quick response to our needs and questions. His neighborhood map and the corresponding locations of his personal recommendations were most helpful. There is a wide variety of choices within a few minutes walk, including excellant restuarants and bistros, fruit and vegetable markets, charcuteries, ice cream stores and a super market. The well secured building faces the Seine and is very handy for the Metro and bus transport. Many of the main Paris tourist attractions including Notre Dame, Staint Chapelle, the Cluny Museum, and the Saint Michel district are a short walk. Just around the corner you are on Bd Saint Germain and in the heart of the Latin Quarter, and take a few steps to the bridge and in a couple of minutes you are on Ile St. Louis and its many great options for food and shopping. Although you are in the middle of all that's happening, you can quickly retreat back into the serenity of the apartment, and your private garden with its roomy deck furnished with comfortable chairs and a table, perfect for afternoon wine and snacks or to read a book. The studio seems more spacious than the photos show in the listing because of the picture windows that look onto the beautifully landscaped garden and the floor to cieling glass doors to the deck .Although the weather was warm during our July visit, the apartment remained comfortable for sleeping. All areas of the space were well appointed and meticulously maintained. The kitchen was fully equipted, easy to operate and spotless. We would highly recommend this VRBO to our most particular friends and are anxious to return to Paris as soon as possible for another round of extreme pleasure at Eric's apartment..

very nice studio....Eric, are you the architect? no, but nice features and a roomy feel due to doors to garden, and outside space if the sun is shining. Location is fabulous, cross the road and down the steps to stroll along the Seine, round the corner to blvd San Germain for dinner or shopping. Metro at Maubert Mutuality is a short pleasant stroll and you can get a beer as you come up to the street....perfect spot.

21 Quai de la Tournelle is an excellent studio apartment with a great location. The garden off the back effectively provides another room and while the building is on the quai the apartment is in back so there is no street noise. The studio was clean and up to date and plenty big enough for two people. Eric lives in the building and was helpful and prompt without being intrusive. Closest metros are Maubert and Jussieu, about 10 minutes each, easy to walk to the Isle St. Louis. We ate at the Rotisserie du Beaujolais on Sunday night which was good, and the Buisson Ardent on Rue Jussieu earlier, which was excellent. I would definitely rent this property again.

We loved staying in this studio right on the river across from Ile St Louis in the 5th arrondisement. Although only a stone's throw from Notre Dame it is away from the tourist masses. It is situated on the ground floor at the back of the building and opens on to a lovely garden, providing a quiet retreat. It is well appointed and comfortable in a very clean, well maintained building. The owner is pleasant and helpful. And lastly, as I always make a comment on this...the wifi was fast and reliable. I would love to stay here again.

Great place for our first visit to Paris! Easy access by RER from airport. Great location to see the sights by walking, subway, bus, or boat. Close to restaurants, nightlife and shopping. Very quiet. Clean and well stocked with all you will need. The little garden area is a wonderful refuge after a busy day of sightseeing. Comfortable bed. Amazing shower, lots of pressure and big showerhead. Nice to be on the street level and not have to climb stairs. Have already recommended to friends and family and would definitely stay here again.

We found a real hiding place in the center of Paris. My husband and I spent one week at Christmas time in this fantastic studio, it was a real treat for us. The studio is even better than in the description, extremely clean and well maintained. It 's comfortable, with very good light, it over looks a beautiful little garden, a haven of greenery in the city center Nicely decorated, very stylish, very "tendance". The location is amazing, the studio is on the river bank, facing the Ile Saint Louis, 2 minutes from Notre Dame with the Bd Saint Germain just on the corner. Very handy for the métro and the bus. When we were staying we ran along the river Seine up to Le jardin des plantes where there is a wonderful museum, the well known Grande Galerie de l'Evolution. We visited on foot all the famous places such as Le Marais, Beaubourg, Saint Michel district, and even the Eiffel Tower- with good shoes !! Just the outside of the bridge in front of the studio we discovered a gallery we loved the "Maison Européeene de la Photographie" rue de Fourcy where there are always very interesting exhibitions. Excellent choice of restaurants close by , we particularly enjoyed "Chez René" Bd Saint Germain and "Itinéraire" rue de Pontoise. Fresh fruit and vegetables, a very good cheese shop and well stocked local bakery are a few minutes away on the place Maubert where there is also a local market during the week; The owners are really charming, very helpful and speak very good english. We really loved this place and had a fantastic holiday, we can't wait to return. We have highly recommended the property to friends and family. We will come back !!

This was such a great apartment to experience everything Paris. Great size for the two of us. The outside area was amazing and serene. Eric and Alexandra were such great help with everything during our stay. And one of the most comfortable beds we have slept on away from home. Can't wait to come back and stay here again!!! Thank you for everything!

Our stay in Paris will remain forever memorable because of our 13 days at 21 Rue Tournelle. Walking out from the apartment every day was a thrill as we crossed the road to find Notre Dame in our line of vision as well as the delightful Ile St. Louis! Although we went out for a few lunches as well as dinners the well equipped kitchen was utilized by us as we enjoyed bringing excellent bottles of wine, cheese, fish and vegetables home from the local markets. We used the patio everyday and found it to be the perfect spot to have morning coffee along with the fresh croissants we bought daily. In the late afternoon the garden was a welcome respite as we drank a glass of wine and talked about our day seeing historical Paris in the never ending warm, sunny weather. Even at 70 there is nothing quite so romantic as sitting on the banks of the Seine watching the sun come down behind Notre Dame Cathedral Our host Eric was most charming and obliging. His recommendations for restaurants as well as general knowledge was most helpful. You will not be disappointed if you choose to stay. Marylin & Brian

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay for almost a week. The place is comfortable, clean, with modern convenience provided. The garden is a plus. Safe, and considerably quiet despite the proximity to tourist attractions. Highly recommend to couples', ladies' getaway from it all or even solo travellers. After all the usual museums, historical sites, street markets, restaurants and shops, I have to give special mention to - dancing by the Seine - at the Tino Rossi Square!

It took us a while to find an apartment online that looks "perfect" for our vacation in Paris - and this one turned out to be as perfect as we had hoped. The location is great, the apartment is clean and nicely furnished, the private garden is wonderful for a relaxing breakfast, or lunch. And the location is ideal - We watched street performers in front of Notre Dame past midnight - a 15-minutes stroll along the Seine and we were back "home" already. The owner was very responsive with our email inquiries before the trip, and was just as helpful after we arrived. If we get to go back to Paris again, we would love to stay in this apartment again.

Our stay at Paris Tournelle was lovely. The location is perfect--cute neighborhood, great restaurants, right near Notre Dame. The room is just like it looks in the pictures. Very clean, comfortable bed, and an amazing, private terrace where we spent our mornings and evenings. The bathroom is also really nice, with an overhead shower. We will definitely be coming back! Also, Alexandra, who greets you when you arrive, is absolutely wonderful. We left a poster in the room and she made sure that we got it all the way back in California.

We stayed March 23-31st (3 in our party). I have been to Paris 5 times and so far this has been the BEST place I've stayed. Metro is easy...4 blocks away...Eric (the owner), lives right up stairs and is available all the time. He was very concerned with our stay and wanted to make sure we were happy. You have a fridge, stove, microwave, cable tv, FAST WiFi (we down loaded 600+ photo's to facebook every night), dishes, silverware, toaster, COMFORTABLE BED, Hot shower and an AMAZING Back yard. Towels were provided, shampoo, soap ect.... I think if you rent this place you'll be glad you did. I'm pretty hardcore about where I stay and want to have a good place to relax at when I get home. The bed was the best one I've had in Paris. The place is near everything and we SAW everything. It's across the river from Notre Dame which was cool. I'm not catholic but, going for a service at 11:30am for International visitors is worth the experience. Enjoy! Thanks Eric!!!! Dan, Areanne, Ana! (Seattle, WA 98102)

This studio was the perfect place for our two week visit to Paris in March. Everything was great, the location - walk everywhere, but accessible to public transport, the view of Notre Dame each time you open the front door, supermarkets close by. The studio was spotlessly clean, cosy and comfortable. We received a warm welcome from Eric and Alexandra. The garden was a delight - we certainly didn't expect to see such a large and beautifully kept garden in that location. We certainly hope to return and have already recommended it to friends.
