The unit has been completely renovated including a total redesign of the kitchen and bathroom resulting in greater counter space and a more spacious feel and flow. The kitchen is fully equipped with all appliances, cookware and eating utensils and has Silestone quartz countertops and a 3 stool eat-in bar. The bathroom, connected to both the bedroom and living area, has a large floor to ceiling walk-in glass shower, double sink stone vanity and comes with both bath and beach towels.

The property is part of the Boca Grande Club a gated, 62 acre private residential community. Amenities offered by the Club include the 'Upper Deck' casual restaurant, a more formal 'Clubhouse' restaurant at beach level, poolside lunch and drink service, 3 pools with complimentary towel service, a 'Tiki Bar', complimentary beach chaises and umbrellas and help with their setup if needed, complimentary use of sea kayaks, a newly expanded fitness facility offering private training and massage, 8 clay tennis courts (3 of which can be lit for night play), 2 tennis pros 'in-season' offering organized drills and matches throughout the week in addition to private lessons if desired, a small retail tennis shop, DVD rentals and a spacious Library/Quiet Room that has books, a TV, comfortable couches and a piano for those times when guests prefer a little 'out of the way' quiet time.
Programs offered include Circuit Training, Yoga, Aquatics, and Bridge. Club staff are courteous and knowledgeable and will happily provide recommendations on restaurants, shopping, golf, fishing (Boca Grande is the tarpon capital of the world), and other activities in the Boca Grande area.
The Club also rents bicycles and golf carts which are both excellent ways to explore the island.
Boca Grande (formally known as Gasparilla Island) is located off the southwest coast of Florida, north of Naples and south of Sarasota. It is part of the 'barrier chain' of islands that includes Sanibel and Captiva. Connected to mainland by a short, tolled ($6) causeway, what makes Boca Grande unique are it's miles of beaches and it's tranquil, relaxed, Old Florida feel: no highrises, no malls, no traffic lights, and no neon signs. Despite it's small size, the town on the island is charming with excellent shopping and several very good restaurants.

Why the Owner Chose Boca Grande: We live in a large North American city. Part of city living is dealing with traffic, stress and frustration. Boca Grande offers a phenomenal contrast. The ocean, the beaches, the people and even the vegetation promote relaxation and a refreshingly slow pace. We love it.
Prior to buying we'd looked and stayed at a number of Florida locations and concluded the east coast was too busy, that Naples and Sarasota were, despite their beauty, too much like the city and that Longboat Key, Sanibel and Captiva, while closer to what we were looking for just seemed that much bigger and busier. What we love about Boca is that it has a real Old Florida feel which we find very appealing. We enjoy activities and while Boca gives us the opportunity to be active it also gives us the opportunity to spend hours at the beach doing nothing if we want...which is a nice alternative to have.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo: The 1st thing we do when we arrive and the last thing we do before we leave is walk the beaches. They are truly spectacular. If we turn right at the beach we can walk for an hour until we're stopped by the beach 'running out' at a private residence boat dock. And if we turn to the left at the beach it takes a couple hours to effectively walk all the way to town. We've only ever done that once and the bottoms of our feet hurt for days. We're also runners and the island has a trail from one end to the other that's great for running. It's also used for biking, for golf carts and we've seen people roller blading as well. The tennis program at the Club is fun and is really well run. And there are many really good golf courses in the area with various price points and levels of difficulty.
