We stayed at this condo for 7 nights with 2 adults and 2 kids, ages 4 and 8. Everyone had a nice time. The condo was clean and well furnished and the kitchen well stocked with utensils, appliances and kitchen equipment like toaster, blender, coffee maker, etc.. The beds were comfortable. There are ceiling fans in every room and we never found the need to turn on the A/C since the place has lots of windows and it cools down fast at night. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the unit too, and for the kids to have their own bathroom. The beach directly across the street from the condo was as nice as any in South Maui, with good snorkeling on the right hand side along the rocks. You can walk a few minutes from the condo to restaurants and shopping along South Kihei Road, although you will have to drive a couple of miles to a real supermarket. We ate breakfast and most dinners at the condo in the covered lanai. There are many other units in the building which has 4 floors (this unit is on the 2nd floor and the 1st floor is mostly taken up by parking), but everyone seemed to respect the 10pm-7am quiet hours. Except for the myna birds, of course, which were making a racket by 5:30 am sharp every day. We were not able to sleep after the birds started every morning, even with ear plugs, so we just shifted our day to start at 5:30 am (using the birds as an alarm clock) and went to bed by 9:30 pm. This is quite easy if you are coming from the mainland because 5:30 am in Hawaii is 8:30 am on the West Coast, so just stick close to Mainland time and you won't have jet lag either. Most businesses open super early too and parks/beaches open at sunrise. If you go, make sure to check all the cupboards and closets for the items available for your use, including the closet by the front door which has beach equipment like boogie boards, beach umbrellas, and snorkel gear. All in all, the location is great, the unit is nice, and the price very reasonable. Highly recommend as a place for families unless you want to partake of Maui nightlife and want to sleep in.

Fantastic!! Sooo relaxing and peaceful. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Comfortable bed, clean and just perfect. Also, the person that owns this condo Is an absolute pleasure to deal with. We wish we could come back to this one next year but it's already booked! No surprise there. Hugest of thanks for providing us with a lovely home away from home!

We had a family of four (two small kids), and the condo provided all we needed. The condo was just as described: clean, quiet, cosy. In addition to usual stuff, there were some beach toys and boogy boards to use. A big plus. The location is very good, just across the beach, and a walking distance from the restaurants and shops. Reservation was easy and the owner responded promptly. I highly recommend. If we are going to Maui again, I would definately reconsider renting this again.

My 2 daughters an 1 stayed here for 9 nights. The flat is big enough for 4 people, modern and clean and well equipped. (the only thing that I would suggest is to buy a new refrigerator...the present one is very old and looks a little bit shabby...Also the last renters did obviously not remove there opened cans, bottles, foods...from the refrigerator, which was a little bit undelightful, because the fist thing I had to do was to take out the trash...).The flat is located in a big complex, where several locals live. Some of the flats can be rent by the owners. The manager on ground was very helpful and the contact with the owner (email) was also excellent. ! A (small) parking lot is also available, which was very good for us, since we rent a car at the airport. . The location in Kihei is good, you can make a lot of trips / excursion and it is easy to get around the island. I would recommend Road to hana, Haleakala Sunrise, Snorkeling tour, and surf lessons with maui beach boys! The beach across the street is a very nice one...and you don't need a car to have a funny day in the water (thanks for the boogie boards and other equipment...).There is also a pool on the property, where we passed some relaxing hours , especially in the afternoon, when there was too much wind on the beach. Also the price for this big condo is a very good one - compared with similar accomondations in Kihei. We had a wonderful time there and can recommend the property to our friends and relatives!

Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner response: I sincerely apologize for the refrigerator mess. This must have been an oversight by my housekeeper. I will forward your comments along to her. I appreciate your bringing this to my attention.

Very nice condo, clean, spacious and well located - just a few minutes from the beach and restaurants. We also had great exchanges with the owner, and help was provided immediately to solve an accidental leak issue in the appartment on the day we arrived. I would highly recommend this rental!

Stayed in unit A-210 for 18 days, April 3 – 21, 2012 and really enjoyed our time there. Would most definitely rent here again, owner is absolutely exceptional to deal with and way more than accommodating. Condo is very spacious with over 1000 sq feet of living area, nicely done with a real emphasis on comfort. Has a full kitchen with granite counter tops and pretty much anything you need. Having a washer and dryer was awesome, allowing us bring less with us on our trip. The unit has two bedroom area’s with very comfortable beds, two good size bathrooms with showers, one has a tub, lots of counter area. There is also a weight scale to let you know when enough Mai Tai’s and Macadamia nuts are enough. Our daughter loved having her own bedroom with her OWN bathroom. Unit is equipped with two vacuums to help keep it clean during your stay. Unit has two small air conditioners (main living area and main bedroom) we NEVER used either air conditioner. The excellent design of the building allows the trade winds to blow right through, keeping the unit very cool. Having beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and towels to use was awesome. Parking area is covered, fairly tight but functional. The one con we found was although It was great to have your vehicle close, the span of the unit allowed for other vehicles to also park under the unit and some people just have to slam their doors clear through to the other side, shaking the entire unit. A-210 is close to pool and BBQ area with a covered dining area. Grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. The gentleman who looks after the complex is always visible and patrolling the grounds. On cue the birds break into song at 5:00 am, I found them to be more soothing than annoying but with the windows open it makes it tough to sleep past then, you’re not in Maui to sleep anyway, Right! Kamaole III Beach is across the street from the complex, the sand is great with excellent snorkeling (I saw better fish here for free than I at Molokini Crater) There are many other beaches, restaurants, gift stores, clothing stores and small craft fairs within walking distance. You do need to drive to the larger grocery stores in the Kihei area, however if you shop at Costco & Walmart on the way to the condo, you really don’t need these other stores. AVOID small confectionary store in the same strip mall as the Denny’ restaurant up the street from the condo, unless you have no problem paying $6 for a half gallon of milk.

Bright, clean, comfortable, and fairly well-appointed, in a great location. Small complaints would include no blowdryer in second bathroom and the need for a separate towel set (with beach towels) for second bathroom.

    Recommended for: Age 55+

Owner response: There should have been plenty of towels, both bath and beach, in the second bathroom. Perhaps starting with a new housekeeper might account for this problem. Thanks for mentioning.

This condo was very comfortable and well outfitted. A very short walk to Kam III Beach where the sand is lovely and there is excellent snorkeling. Also a short walk to shopping and restaurants. We would love to stay here again!

We have stayed at Haleakala Shores before and really like the set-up. Whether you are with another couple or have younger children with you, you each have your own bedroom and bathroom. The common space is large and gives everyone room. This unit has been updated with cool, easy to clean tile floors and new granite counters in the kitchen. The pool area is private, very clean and plenty of lounge chairs. There is a covered lounge/reading area as well and a small library of books to borrow. Two new Weber gas b-b-cues have been added this year and they are working on two more built in cooking areas. Also, no pets are allowed so no messes or barking. Very close to the beach as well. We will definitely stay again.

This condo has it all…it’s very clean with lots of space for everyone, lots of light, lots of storage, nice kitchen, laundry, 2 great bathrooms, comfortable beds, and it’s close to everything you need. Having beach chairs, boogie boards, umbrellas and beach towels to use was perfect. It’s easy to find and is across the street from the beach. The parking area is covered, so the car isn’t a hundred degrees inside when you get in!! This unit is just steps from the pool and BBQ area, which not only has a covered dining area, but also a covered lounge with a lending library. The grounds are nicely landscaped and well maintained. Walking distance to great dining. Especially liked 808 Deli…hot and cold sandwiches, everything fresh and made to order. Price is very reasonable-nothing over $8 and everything we had was really good. It’s just a couple blocks up S. Kihei Road. Café O’Lei was another great find, and also within walking distance. If you have a car, less than 3 miles up S. Kihei Road is Stella Blues Café…great food and great music. Owner Annette was very helpful and booking was easy…we didn’t book way in advance, so we were relieved that the process went so smoothly. Would absolutely recommend this property.

Owner response: Thanks so much for your positive response. I am glad you enjoyed several of the restaurant suggestions. I certainly appreciated everything left in such good order, as well as your helpful suggestions. Come back to Maui!

What a find! This condo was perfect; it is everything we had expected, and more. Fifteen minutes after our arrival we felt totally at home. Everything is very nicely done, with great taste in decor and an emphasis on comfort. We really enjoyed our breakfasts on a lanai that is private and secluded in a beautiful garden. The beach is only a few steps away, like having it in your backyard. And we appreciated the fact that everything works and the entire stay was problem free. We went to Maui for the Hawaiian experience and were not disappointed. My wife and I will surely go back.

The condo was spacious, clean and nicely furnished - just as the photos show it! The fully outfitted kitchen with this open floor plan was perfect for 2 couples or even a family. The bedrooms are good size and the bathrooms large with lots of closet storage. Really liked being able to do the laundry in the condo at any time. The beach just across the road from the condo was my favorite with a beautiful view and great snorkeling in the warm cove waters; we appreciated having the beach equipment available to us. Day trips from Kihei are easy to Lahaina, Haleakala Crater, Mckenna Beach, and even Maui's quaint winery. We found great restaurants, easy shopping and the best sunset walks locally and just down the road in Wailea throughout our week. I've recommended this comfortable condo to first time tourists as well as to returning visitors to Maui.
