You wont want to leave this well-kept home... however there are many close by activities. Downtown is a bike ride or short drive away to some of the finest restaurants and great shopping. The HARBOR is another location where you can, kayak, canoe, paddle boat, sport fish or head to the famous Channel Islands, for snorkeling, hiking, swimming, surfing, fishing or just enjoy the ride watching the playful DOLPHINS follow the boat and whale sightings!
A day trip away south is Disneyland, Magic Mountain, Knotts Berry Farm and Universal Studios. Hollywood- Rodeo Drive, Santa Monica- boardwalk and Pier faire. Northbound is Santa Barbara and many winerys and tours.

The location was perfect - close to the beach, two beach parks and downtown Ventura. Quiet street, very clean house, great sheets and towels and the kitchen had everything. The hot tub and ping pong were a big hit. Many close restaurants - we like the fish n chips at the Anacapa Brewery on Main street Ventura.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This is the best property rental we have ever stayed at. House is well decorated and well stocked. Garden is beautiful....we would watch the sunset over the ocean from there or upstairs or take our wine for the short walk to the sand dunes....if the kids wanted to run ahead of us it was fine because we could easily see them all the way (maybe 100yrds) Kids played across the street at the school which was closed for the summer....we had a family baseball game there that we will never forget because we laughed so hard we were in tears....directly from there we ALL jumped in the ocean then the jacuzzi. The walks my daughter Dorothy and I took most days to the pier with waves splashing our feet, will never be forgotten. Sometimes we would walk the other direction to the harbor. The house itself fit us perfect......grownups gathered around the open kitchen and dining area while the kids went wild in the huge surf room, back yard and jacuzzi....we could see them from where we were but somehow the noise pollution stayed at low...maybe due to the sunroom that was between . All the kids of all ages (3,7,9,14) insisted on sleeping in the surf room....The front garden has a comfortable sitting area where we had coffee each morning as our husbands went crazy with the ping pong table....occasionally they would let the older kids play. We walked to the grocery store and starbucks also to our favorite little Itallian restaurant Meridians. A week is not long enough......two weeks this year. We want to hit Santa Barbara, Solvang and Ojai more. Also, downtown Ventura is cool for shopping and eating.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
