Sandy Beach is possibly the most unique community in the San Francisco Bay Area. This secluded waterfront neighborhood of forty homes built on pilings over the north east corner of SF Bay offers truly incredible views in a tranquil setting.
Our tastefully decorated modern home lies at the gateway to the Napa and Sonoma wine country. A ferry terminal is also just minutes away which offers spectacular leisurely trips to San Francisco. To the south we are 15 minutes from Berkeley and the Oakland area.
Our waterfront home is accessed by a two to three minute stroll down a peaceful walkway along the water’s edge which meanders through the tiny friendly bay front community.
When entering the property you will find a beautifully landscaped front deck area with patio furniture and an outdoor kitchen. The water view side has a glass enclosed deck with outdoor furniture on which you can enjoy that evening glass of wine while watching the sun set serenely on the water.
The upstairs master bedroom has an enclosed sunroom balcony with sweeping views of the bay and five counties. This delightful room can be enjoyed anytime of the day watching water fowl always flying about and frequently frolicking seals and sea lions. Sailboats, ferries and other marine vessels also abound. At night there is a spectacular view of the lighted Carquinez Bridge and the twinkling lights of Marin County across the Bay.

This is an extremely spectacular rental. From the expansive views of the City & S. F. Bay to the complete outdoor kitchen, we could have not asked for a more comfortable & serene vacation home. Even the walk from the parking lot to the home was a delightful experience. The weather could not have been better and we secretly enjoyed watching the fog engluff San Francisco while we enjoyed warm sunshine. The owners were very helpful and truly cared about our stay and comfort. The only thing else we can say is thank-you for sharing and intrusting your home with us. It is a memory we will always cherish. We were all very honored to be there and enjoyed our stay. Thanks again. Sweeping views does not begin to describe this hidden enchantment. This is right on the bay and the property was better than the photo told you. I was suspectful about the Vallejo location but - not to worry- this is so far off the path from Vallejo and tucked away in a secluded spot that all my fears where gone. I was attending a conference in NAPA and found the distance not a problem. Also managed to go to Sonoma and rode the ferry to San Francisco. Centrally located between all these spots and yet totally private. The owers were an enclyclopedia of information and supplied me with "great restaurants" from a variety of locations. Property was immaculate and so worth the trip. I am booking it again next year at the same time. Perfect for a couple or girls' get away. This will definitely be my go to spot every year. I actually regretted having to leave everyday and always came home in time to sit out on the bay. Fantastic.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

this is the 4th yr we have stayed at Sandy Beach. A little piece of heaven in the East Bay. The house is close to the ferry to San Francisco, close to Napa, Berkeley, and Oakland and all those cities have to offer. The house if comfortable and the owners extremely responsive to any problems. The master bedroom is upstairs and comfortable. House is really ideal for a couple wanting to experience the bay area. The people who live on Sandy Beach are very friendly. We had a wonderful 2 months. An FYI you need to be able to do a little walking down a path to the house ...there is a wagon to bring groceries, etc. to the house.Recommended for: Age 55+, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We are a retired engineer and school teacher and have enjoyed exchanging our home for the last five years all over the world. Through our travels we have met and made many friends who raved about their stay in our Sandy Beach home.
