This ten year running, million dollar, Tour of Homes showcase was built, designed and formerly owned by an Atlanta Architect and will be made available for a limited number of weeks throughout the year. The home is considered by many as the top home available on Fripp Island. The house contains 6600 total square feet, with 4200 heated and air with four finished porches of 2400 square feet, on three levels with both a MARSH AND GOLF COURSE VIEW.
Designed in a style reminiscent of the British Colonial or West Indies Plantation you will experience Mahogany cabinets salvaged from the Carnegie Library built in the 1930's and all interior Mahogany paired doors from a girl's school built circa 1930's with an extensive original artwork collection. The kitchen has all granite counters, and throughout the house are hand made light fixtures from South Hampton.
This home is impeccably maintained, but is a casual home that features six bay segments. Looking at the house from the street the left is a two-story entryway, center kitchen, and right library. The three bays in the back of the house run 45 feet and are all open and segmented into dining, living, and fireplace with hardwood floors throughout. The upstairs expansive six-foot board and bead hall opens to five bedrooms (two with Kings, one Queen, and two with twin beds) all with balconies, assured to create fanciful dreams on this island paradise. Also, this home has four baths, an out door shower, a private den, a separate downstairs kids room with large TV and game room. Also included are adult bikes, two-door garage, and a lower floor shower when arriving from the beach.
Two Master Amenity cards give you access to all private club activities. THE OCEAN IS 300 YARDS OR A Four MINUTE WALK AWAY. You overlook the 17th tee of Ocean Creek Golf, and less than a five minute bike to the Beach Club, Cabana Club, or Marina. The yard, grassed front and back, is shaded by 25 palm trees, live oaks and is great for outdoor play. Also are four TV's, three VCRs, CD, and stereo system.
The back of the house faces the marsh and the prevailing wind direction. For eight months of the year all 12 double doors can be opened to create an ideal cross breeze. You will combine indoor and outdoor living to its fullest. The front of the house overlooks the pond and 17th tee of the Golf Course.
This home has hosted multiple families with children of all ages, and the house holds up to normal wear very well. The house is very eye appealing, but very comfortable and casual. Its built as the ultimate beach house and is casual not formal. Well behaved kids do fine.

Phillip Lair has left a note about Bonito Road. Rating: 5 stars Additional comments: We recently enjoyed a wonderful vacation at 813 Bonito Road on Fripp Island, SC. The owner, Mr Daniel, was so quick to respond to our emails and even provided us with personal pictures of his property. The house was very comfortable, plenty of room, and decorated tastefully. Our hosts had anticipated any and everything we would need to really enjoy our time in their home. We especially enjoyed our early morning coffee on the screened porch as we were surrounded by such beautiful scenery and interesting wild life. Early morning walks on the beach helped start our day perfectly. Several side trips were taken and we learned about the history of the region. The area is also blessed with many excellent restaurants and we especially enjoyed The Beaufort Inn. Thanks to all the people at 3RD Home and to Mr. Daniel for providing us with a great vacation. Our family (13 in all) spent the first week of April here. Although the weather was cool, the kids found plenty of things to keep them busy. Many walks on the beach (just a short hike from the property), tennis, golf, sunbathing, biking, etc. The home was beautiful, clean, well-maintained and more than adequately furnished. I would definitely recommend this property to others. The huge front porch with many rocking chairs was a delightful place to relax in the sun in the afternoon!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing.

We have vacationed in this house on several occassions. It is a nicely furnished and equipt home. You do not have to bring much more thean food and clothes. It really has everything you need. A very nice golf cart is included that we used to tour the island. There are not enough good things we could say about this house and our stay on the island. You can walk to the driving range and golf course, the yacht club and beach. Fishing charters are available to really good deep sea fishing. It is a very good location and a great place for large family vacations. I think we had fourteen people there during our last stay. There is something for everyone in the family. We will be going back tp Fripp and we will stay in this house if available.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

From the moment we arrived, to the moment we had to 'pack it up,' we had a wonderful time on Fripp Island. This home is was everything we hoped for and more. It's clear that the owner's take great pride in their beach home with its immaculate care, fine furniture, art and linens. We especially enjoyed passing time on the big, white rocking chairs on the long front porch that overlooks Bonito Drive. The beach and one of the two Fripp Golf Courses are a stone's toss away. Be sure to drive into Beaufort one night and dine at Wren or Saltus. We also loved JCT right off the island past the lighthouse on Hunting Island. We highly recommend this property and are looking forward to our next stay!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

The maximum number of guest for this house is twelve people and the home is non-smoking. Ther are several out-door porches where smoking is permitted and we ask that you respect this policy. A golf cart is provided with this home, but you must have a valid drivers license to operate this. The island security is very strict about under age drivers. There is parking for four vehicles and all vehicles should be parked in paved areas only.

About the owner: We enjoy our travel everywhere we go. We have four children and their spouses and our four grandchildren get to visit with us at Fripp Island throughout the year. This picture was taken in Greece in 2007 where our youngest son was married. We live in Atlanta, but have always enjoyed the Low Country of the Carolinas and Georgia. We have had a home on Fripp for over 18 years. What we enjoy the most about Fripp is time we all get to spend together, with very few distractions from the outside world.
Why the Owner Chose Ocean Creek, Bonito Boathouses:
Fripp Island is like Mayberry with a beach. The island is about 3 miles long and 1 mile wide,
so you are always close to the beach. There are two really good golf courses, tennis,
bikepaths and a boat marina all in a golf cart community. We never lock our doors and crime
is not a word that exist on Fripp Island. Our children grew up here during the summers, and
now our grand children are here with us. Sunburn is the only negative thing that has happened
to our family in over 20 years of enjoying Fripp. You can walk to everything or if you prefer,
you can bike or speed in a golf cart.Fripp is truly a way of life where time may not stop,
but it definitely slows down.
