Location: Rotonda West, Rotonda, Florida South West, Florida, USA (Port Charlotte is 11 miles, Between Sarasota & Fort Myers)

Accommodations:  Home with Pool backs on river, 4 Bedrooms + Den, 4 Baths (Sleeps 8-10)

Rotonda is a very safe and well maintained community with golf courses, tennis courts, and children's play area within the immediate vicinity. For the serious golfer there are 99 holes available within Rotonda and in the nearby vicinity. See local golf club website.

The unspoiled beautiful beaches are 10-15 minutes away and Adventure Island Water Park and Busch Gardens only a 90 minute leisurely drive. Disney etc., is approximately a two hour drive. Alternatively relax in our beautiful villa and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the sun-terrace and private pool while watching the sun go down.

Winn Dixie and Publix supermarkets are close by and it is only ten minutes drive to the Port Charlotte Shopping Mall where you will find Burdines, J.C. Penny, Dillards, Sears, etc.

The climate in the South West Gulf is generally warm throughout the year, temperatures range from 70's in winter to the 90's in summer.

Please note that the 5th Bedroom/Den has a large TV and a comfortable sofa bed which can sleep a further two people. The bathroom for bedroom 5 is shared with the pool area.

THE PARKING OF RV'S OR BOATS ON THE DRIVEWAY IS NOT PERMITTED.

  • What a great house! We had 3 couples and 2 children and we felt like we had plenty of room in the house. Each couple had their own room to sleep in. Two rooms shared a bath (jack and jill) while the 2 master bedrooms had there own bathrooms. The hall bath was convenient for pool and indoor access (2 doors). The back yard is large and there is a canal in the back where we saw a couple alligators (which the kids loved!). The house is beautiful (inside and out) and the neighborhood is very nice and quiet. We stayed over Xmas and had great weather and no bugs! The management company was also helpful with our questions. They left 2 binder with info and local activities. The owners allowed us to use the garage so we didn't have to keep the cars out all night. They also had pool toys and sand toys so the kids had fun in the pool or when we went to the beach. We had a great experience with handling the rental details with the owners. We highly recommend this well maintained property to anyone looking for peace and quiet in a large home with a screened in pool and jacuzzi.

  • To Lindy & Thornton Thanks for allowing us to stay in your villa in Florida. It is absolutely beautiful and all that it was advertised in your web description. The neighbourhood was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed going for walks down quiet neighbourhood streets, watching sunsets and having dips in the pool, but I think our favourite thing to do was to just sit by the pool early in the morning drinking coffee and just looking out over the river. It was great to watch the wildlife - herons, cranes etc.etc. A bald eagle even flew over one morning. Great fun. And thanks again. Steve & Sue

  • It's now 3 weeks since we returned home so apologies for not touching base with you sooner regarding our stay in Rotonda West. Everything at the villa was great for the two families. There was plenty of space for us all and all the amenities worked well. The house is beautiful. The area is perhaps a little more isolated than I expected but as a car is essential in the U.S. it didn't stop us doing anything. A great time was had by all.
