The house is located in Shady Harbor, which is a private, family-oriented community. Drive down the wooded streets to find a beautiful surprise: Quonochontaug Pond and the community of Shady Harbor. The atmosphere lends itself to total enjoyment for those looking for that relaxing get-away weekend in the off-season, or sports and water fun in the summer. This totally renovated house is roomy and the best value for rentals in the community. There are wonderful views, great yard and amenities to meet your needs and wants. The bedrooms are large and comfortable. The screen porch can't be beat. Once you compare this house to others available, you will see how it will easily meet your expectations.
The house, with three bedrooms and three baths, has been totally renovated and updated during the past year. It is bright and cheerful where you can enjoy any type of weather in comfort. In Fall, Winter or Spring imagine having a fire in the fireplace while gazing out the window and watching the water and nature. Summer brings warm days and a change in the scenery making all seasons enjoyable in different ways. Central air-conditioning is there for those few days when it is "just too hot for comfort."
The large screened porch catches the breezes on hot days. It provides water views with comfortable seating plus a dining table for bug-free dining. There are two bedrooms on the main floor and one twin bedroom on the ground floor. The living and dining rooms are comfortably appointed with newly purchased furniture and artwork. Downstairs on the ground floor is a new wet bar/kitchenette, family room featuring a pool table and a TV viewing area plus a full bath and laundry. The fully-equipped kitchen has been totally renovated during the winter of 2004 and the rest of the house was gutted and renovated in winter of 2008. The new top floor is not for rent and is locked off.
There are many places of interest within a half-hour drive to keep you busy and happy on those rainy or cold days. You are away from the commercialization that is pervasive in many major beach communities, yet Misquamicut Beach is nearby when you want it. Close by you will find Watch Hill, an old fashioned New England beach community with fun shopping, a world famous flying horse carousel and fine restaurants. Whatever your interest, you will find a beach style to suit, with many other activities and attractions to entertain.
