Why the Owner Chose Cape Dunes
We have spent many, many years in North Florida, and have experienced the best and worst of the Gulf coast. The worst, for example, Destin and Ft. Walton Beach: Both are tremendously overcrowded and over priced, in our estimation. We elected to purchase at Cape San Blas because it is the EpiCenter of what is referred to as "The Forgotten Coast of Florida" - In simpler terms, untarnished and unblemished by huge development, traffic and bloated prices. If you have never been here, it's well worth some of your precious vacation time. I believe you will love the solitude, environmental beauty and friendly "natives" of The Cape and Gulf County. Come and enjoy!

Chill Out is a privately owned beach home, directly on the beaches of the Gulf of Mexico beach, fully furnished with every comfort you have in your own home. We believe you will enjoy some of the 'extra touches' like over 200 magazines of various interests spread throughout the home, and a fully furnished kitchen, including many spices and condiments, that we simply ask you to replace if you use the last of them! Many of our visitors have returned for a second Chill Out vacation, and we hope you may be one of them!

Hi Duane and Lee Ann, Just wanted to send a note to say how much we enjoyed staying at your property! We did use your net for catching blue crabs. They were delicious!!!!!!!!!!! We did this 2 days. Unfortunately the net handle did break just from the pressure of the water. Just wanted you to know. Everything was just perfect about our stay. We saw dolphins, stingrays, crabs, lots of fish, and we collected the biggest shells I have ever seen on a beach!!!! I'm going to put them in glass jars to remind of my trip there. Seeing the full moon over the ocean was beautiful. Thank you so much!!!!

We had such a fun week in your comfortable, private, well-equipped beach house. We felt like we had our own private beach most of the time. A perfect spot for our family- grandkids and dogs loved running and swimming in the Gulf. Port St. Joe is a great town to explore on rainy afternoons. We will recommend "Chill Out" to our friends.

What a wonderful 30th wedding anniversary! We walked, walked and walked some more on the beach, some times with no one in sight. It was fabulous and relaxing. Went to the state park and visited the beaches there and rode bikes. We really enjoyed your beautiful beach home and the Cape.

Thank you for sharing your lovely beach home with us. The time here was oh-so-cold, but we managed just fine. We took long walks and bundled up and then lit the fireplace and really chilled out! We played games, did puzzles, cooked together. It was a great healing time for the family this holiday season. The beach was almost totally seclusion and we loved it! We had a great family and friends vacation. The house was certainly large enough to accommodate 2 families. the boys fished, not much luck however. We love the life on the beach.
