The unit is less than a half block walk to the new Red River Ski Area Platinum Chair, across the street from Timbers restaurant. Four other dining establishments are within a half block walk. Walking distance to shopping, art galleries or the fishing ponds! Watch the torch light parade and fireworks from your balcony. Whether watching the local wildlife in the summer or the skiers coming down the FACE in the winter, you are in the middle of everything, with the added bonus of being in your own little hideaway!
You can walk to Red River Ski area, drive 45 minutes to either Angel Fire Ski Area or Legendary Taos Ski Area.
You are a 45 minute drive away from Taos NM where you can visit the Rio Grande Gorge, wonderful art galleries and fabulous restaurants. Ojo Caliente, natural mineral springs. are about an hour and 15 minutes away. And Abiqui, NM, where Georgia o'Keefe painted is only about an hour and half away. Funky Art Colony Arroyo Seco is a beautiful 30 minute drive, with wonderful shopping and dining.

We've stayed in this little apartment twice now, with our Papillion’s. The location of the room cannot be beat. It's nestled right next to the Lift House and the Platinum Chair Lift. The room is so cozy and comfortable and feels just like home. The mountain view from the front door and window is magnificent. Being able to rent our ski gear downstairs at Wild Bills was so convenient! The room itself is supplied with plush towels, great linens and every kitchen item you could possibly need. Lynn even took the time to show us the other rooms she has available for our future stays in Red River. We will definitely be back! We LOVE staying at Wild Bills!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, pet owners.

Our rooms are indeed appointed with lovely linens, and towels. The beds are incredibly comfy and have fantastic down pillows and a down comforter to keep you warm and cozy! We do accept small pets (15 pound maximum) for a non-refundable cleaning fee. The dishes are Royal Doulton everyday, and if there is anything you need that is not provided, we do our best to accommodate the request. Again, we so thank you for your continued patronage and look forward to your return!

I can't say enough about my stay at Red River in the Durango room. Lyn made my stay the best ever and went above and beyond to make sure I had a wonderful vacation experience and had everything I needed. This was by far the coziest, cleanest, and most comfortable room I've ever stayed in. Loved the bed and plush linens. The view of the mountain face is awesome and you can literally walk to the base in a matter of a few minutes. Wild Bills is located in the heart of Red River where you can walk to the local businesses and restaurants. I highly recommend you give Lyn a call and reserve your room the next time you are in Red River. Thank you Lyn for taking care of me! You made me feel like family.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, families with young children, age 55+.

We actually stayed in the 1 queen bed efficiency room (not pictured here yet) with the microwave, fridge & coffeemaker & a full bath, which was perfect for our 3 day stay! The owners also have 2 other rooms available, each with a full kitchen, one has 2 beds & the other 1 bed, both equally as wonderful as the one we stayed in. Ours was awesome! Beautiful bedding & plush bath towels! Everything was extremely clean & so comfy & cozy with a gorgeous view of the mountains & located at the base of the ski lift. Perfect location for walking to all the restaurants, shops & grocery store. Owners were wonderful to book with & so kind, we definitely recommend staying here & will be doing so ourselves on our next visit! : )Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

Our host was exceptionally hospitable and offered to make our stay comfortable any way possible. Easy to communicate with and understanding (we were late arriving). Accomodations exactly as pictured and described. Very clean and extremely comfortable - many extra touches that made our stay very relaxing. Right in the heart of Red River with a beautiful view of the ski slope and easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

About the owner: We have owned a business in Red River since 1991 and only recently decided to remodel living quarters on the back of our business to offer as nightly rentals. Our goal is to make these rooms feel like your home away from home. The balcony overlooks Red River Ski Area and the apartments are convenient to everything in town. Once you park your car, you can walk anywhere you want to go!
Why the Owner Chose Red River:
The area we are located in is called the Enchanted Circle. This place has a special feel and draws people in. My family had a cabin here for years; it was a lifelong dream to live here full time. Now we own a business here and are able to enjoy all the wonderful things New Mexico has to offer.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
When you walk out your door, you will see gorgeous mountain views. We reside at nearly 10,000 feet. The mountain air is clean and crisp and the water is pristeen. The summers are lovely here, with highs in the 70s and lows in the 40's. A light jacket is always a good idea. In the winter, you have access to all manor of winter activities to enjoy, whether it is skiing or snowmobiling, or snowshoeing...or just relax with a good book and have hot chocolate on your balcony!
