Runaway Beach Club Resort is a luxury family resort located right in the center of Florida's tourist area, only 3 miles from Walt Disney World Resort. Tropically landscaped, this gated community consists of charming two-story pastel Key West-style villas surrounding a central fountained lagoon. Guests may stroll or jog along the scenic waterside path. Two heated pools provide swimming and sunning options for the whole family --- a South Beach themed adult pool plus a fun, colorful child-friendly pool with water features and zero-depth entry. A hot tub, located adjacent to the pools, provides a romantic setting for couples. Accented by flickering Hawaiian-style torches and gracious palm trees, the extensive deck area surrounds both pools and overlooks the beautifully landscaped lagoon. Plenty of comfortable lounge chairs and umbrella tables are provided throughout the deck area. Seasonally, fun and entertainment is provided with poolside activities, and refreshments may be purchased at a tiki bar gazebo.
The resort’s clubhouse contains a modern fitness center, indoor basketball court (fee applies), and a TV lounge area with public computer. Wi-Fi is available throughout the entire complex. A shuttle service provides regularly scheduled transportation to Walt Disney World. There is NO additional Daily Resort Access Fee.
This smoke-free, spacious 1503 sq ft condo has the largest of the 2-bedroom floor plans in the resort. It reflects a coastal flair with cottage-style furnishings, beach themed décor, and a color scheme of soft sunshine with shades of clear sky and deep ocean blues. Ceiling fans in every room offer the feel of a shore breeze. An open living and dining room with 20-ft cathedral ceilings offers ample space for eating, lounging, and getting together with family and friends. A loft overlooks the living room, offering an additional sleeping area. The gourmet kitchen has high-end appliances, granite countertops with breakfast bar and is fully equipped with cookware and tableware. A large dining table seats four comfortably.
The roomy master bedroom has a king-sized bed, and the spacious master bath is complete with garden tub. The guest bedroom contains a queen-sized bed plus a single/twin-sized bed, to accommodate various family needs. The loft holds a queen-sized bed. Two queen sleeper sofas in the living room offer additional sleeping options. Both bedrooms offer huge walk-in closets, providing easy storage of luggage. A large hall bath is conveniently located near the guest bedroom. A full-sized washing machine and dryer are included in the amenities within the condo. A large 42-inch flat screen television is found in the living room and master bedroom. A 37-inch flat screen television is located in the loft and guest bedroom; and a DVD player provides entertainment for the whole family in the living area. As a 2nd floor unit, this condo provides peace and tranquility without noise from neighbors above.

My family and I really enjoyed our stay at this condo for a long weekend. The condo has plenty of room for each person to spread out and have his own space. It was furnished very comfortably, and was open, light and airy. We also thought the condo was very clean and well-maintained. We were conveniently located to several restaurants and a super Wal-Mart, and of course, Disney. The resort’s colorful buildings were very cute, and the grounds were landscaped nicely, with a jogging path along the lagoon. There were 2 pools, a hot tub, and a nice fitness center. The owners were very easy to work with (very responsive). I would definitely recommend this vacation rental to others, and we plan to return in a few months.Did you find this review helpful? Check in was very quick and the gals over at Magical Memories are very nice and helpful. We did notice the kiddie pool down yesterday when we got a chance to walk around - the storms here were pretty crazy for a bit. Our girls are a little older so they dont mind. We think it is great that Calypso Cay has extended their hospitality over to this resort, so we will check it out and let you know how it is. This is a very nice place you have here. Love the kitchen and the openness, especially the vaulted ceilings. Had a great nights rest. I think better than my own at home. Thanks again. We just got home from our vacation in Orlando and were really happy with the condo and the entire resort. There was plenty of space for 5 of us, and the kids loved having their own TV up in the loft. The pools were also lovely and the "adult" pool was very often filled with kids with no problems. There were people of all ages at the resort. It's a great location - you are not far from anything in the Orlando area. And as stated in prior reviews, Patsy was so nice and easy to work with. I would highly recommend this place for your next trip!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I am a little late writing this review. I discovered how important reviews are when searching for another rental in another state. We stayed at this condo in June of 2011 while vacationing in Florida. It was absolutely perfect! We had so much room to spread out. The kids didn't want to leave the condo to go to the parks. The pools were perfect. Enough to do for the little ones, and a bigger pool for the grown ups. It was a VERY short drive to the parks. We could come and go from the parks as we wanted. Sometimes it took longer to get through the parking lot at the park than to drive from the condo. Also, I am a clean nut, and I felt very at home in this unit. The management company was professional and the owners were very helpful. They even had some of their family assist us with paperwork while they were out of town. Thank you for a wonderful stay, it was a great experience!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

My family just spent four wonderful nights at Patsy and Larry's condo! I would never hesitate to stay at their property again. The condo was spacious, clean and convenient to all of the attractions. We loved the cathedral ceilings and the pool area. Patsy and Larry really do care about their property and worked with us when we had unexpected difficulties and had to change the original booking. My husband has already stated that we will definately have to stay at their condo if we return to Florida. It was a great stay and we were sorry to see it end.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.

We (two adults and two children ages 8 & 7) stayed here for a week and absolutely loved the place. The condo was the perfect size with all of the provisions you'd need. It was very convenient to have a full sized kitchen and grocery store right around the corner. The property was perfect. Our kids loved the pools, the walking paths and the movies shown on the deck at night. I used the gym and found it to be clean and stocked with enough equipment. The location is great for all of the major parks in the area. All in all, a great vacation spot at a great value. We will be returning!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with teenagers, families with young children.
