This vacation rental must be listed at the top of the quality places available at VRBO. The house was spotlessly clean. The decor was beyond belief. It felt as if you were in a museum. Everywhere you looked, there was something interesting to see on display. The kitchen, bedrooms and living area were very comfortable. Many items in the kitchen not normally provided were available, i.e. a huge variety of spices. The yard was as interesting as the house. It was full of gorgeous plants, fish pond, hot tub. This is a very special vacation cottage.

Our hosts were friendly and helpful. Very easy to work with. Their home is absolutely charming, beautifully decorated, very comfortable and very clean. It is even better than the pictures show and we immediately felt at home. Adult son enjoyed his own space, dad appreciated the location and mom felt extremely pampered. Took advantage of the hot tub and loved the extra room for changing, etc. Our stay there was perfect and we will definitely stay again!

We normally stay at 4 star hotels, but decided to try VRBO instead. We were not disappointed!! This is a charming bungalow that far exceeded our expectations. We couldn't have asked for a nicer place. Everything was spotless!! We enjoyed having all of the extra space. The house is stocked with absolutely everything you need! They didn't forget a thing!! It is in a great location within walking distance of the beach & restaurants. We look forward to our next stay when all of the beautiful gardens are in full bloom.

This family of four with two pre-school-aged kids traveled to Seattle to visit a relative. We were looking for a house in a safe neighborhood to save money on food and activities. Did we ever hit the jackpot! This home was lovely and provided hours of fun with the hot tub, fish pond, and short walk to the beach, all for the same price as a hotel room downtown. My youngest daughter still asks when we are going to go back to our other house, meaning this VRBO in Seattle. It was our home away from home, and we can't wait to stay there again on our next visit!

We loved our short but wonderful stay at your Bungalow. The house was neat and clean and very nicely decorated I might add. Had the weather been nicer we could have taken advantage of the nice deck area in back. It was very convenient as my son lived only three blocks away. I would definitely consider staying there again

A Perfect experience with owners Tom and Pam from beginning to end - very prompt in answering our questions and suggesting things to do... Perfect location - a couple of blocks away from Alki Beach where we walked along the beach, dined at the diverse restaurants and caught a water taxi to downtown Seattle. Perfect lodging - with 2 separate living/sleeping areas, it provided the ultimate privacy... the attention to details made us feel like we were 'home.' Perfect place for relaxing - in the beautifully decorated cottage or on the deck surrounded by the blooming flowers and the soothing sound of water. A perfect home-base return destination to see the Seattle area sights we missed during our short stay in September! Can’t wait to come ‘home’ in the near future!

This house was quite obviously so much more than a rental home from the moment we called Pam and Tom to see if we could drop off our bags a bit early on arrival. We could not have asked for a better ending to our two weeks in Seattle than the comfort, quiet and relaxation that this gem on Alki offered us. There are so many wonderful little touches here that show just how magical a place Alki (and Seattle) are, and just what the people here are all about. The backyard was our main living space for our (much too brief) time here. From all of the wonderful plants and flowers, to the young Koi and all the fun and funky hand-crafted, artful items in the yard. We found ourselves at a point of relaxation that we haven't experienced in years. I cannot wait to come back to this fantastic, magical place. Pam and Tom...thank you soooo much for the use of your home. I'll be in touch when your next property comes available as weel. ;-)

This charming bungalow was absolutely perfect for our family. We have a 11 yr old, 4 yr old and 2 yr old and they loved this place from the moment we stepped foot. From the amazing flower gardens, fish pond, outdoor fireplace, to the hot tub. We were there visiting my mother so she joined us at the bungalow since her place could not accomidate us. She noticed how the place was full of so much character & uniqueness. I love the location & how easy it was to take the free water taxi shuttle just a few blocks away to catch the water taxi to the city or just take the water taxi shuttle or bus into Alki Beach or just walk to Alki. Lots of fun things to do right in Alki if you don't want to spend all your visit in the city. The only thing we regret is not spending more time enjoying the relaxing cozy bungalow. I suggest it! The city stuff can get very busy & tiring with small children. Such a fabulous place to stay & we will definately be staying there again the next time. You cant beat the great price!!!!! I promise its well worth the money and more!!! :)

Just now rating our stay at the Beach Bungalow for our July 2012 vacation. The bungalow is quite lovely and had all the features we needed for a comfortable stay. The house, deck and yard are all neat and clean. The key code door entry worked great. My sister and I occupied the upstairs, main area of the house while my niece and her friend used the lower space for relaxing and sleeping. We enjoyed the kitchen/deck area the best and spent most of our time there. The deck looks out the back of the house at the landscaped yard, the parking space and the alley. The parking space is small and accessed via the alley and we had a tough time parking our mid-sized rental car but managed OK by posting guides at the front and back of the car and by moving the trash cans to provide more space to pull in to the property. It was impossible for us to find parking space on the street in front of, or near the house. I enjoyed walking around the residential areas and down to the beach. There are some terrific views from some side streets and some really cool "Seattle beach-style" houses to see. We wanted to cook at the bungalow to save some $$ but discovered that the nearest store (within walking distance) was on the street at the beach and had very little selection at very inflated prices. We highly anticipated the West Seattle Street Fest that happens in July and were very disappointed - not worth the bother. Walking the beach and people-watching is what we did most in West Seattle. I have to admit that there were a few times that we were uneasy about some cars cruising the beach areas and roudy parties at the beach. But there were families with kids mixed in the crowds so we didn't feel unsafe- just a little anxious... The tour of the lighthouse was informative and worth the visit. Overall, a fun trip and a nice stay at the beach bungalow. The bungalow was a good value and I would recommend it to future vacationers to Seattle. Lastly- outside of 2 days, we relied totally (from SeaTac to front door) on public transportation - Sounder train, water taxi, ferry and city bus. Had a little difficulty finding a taxi company servicing West Seattle - not sure what that was about... Anyway, a "thumbs up" for the bungalow! Hope this review helps you decide.

My significant other than I wanted to do a family vacation with 2 teens. We had no idea what to expect. We usually stay at the Hotel 1000 in downtown Seattle. We were nervous about amenities but this house is fabulous! Pam is awesome. They provide you with everything little necessity which I didn't realize would be there. The pictures do not do it justice. The upstairs main focus is the beautiful kitchen, deck, pond, peaceful, just breathtaking!!! The water pressure in the house was great (it's the little things that count) and wonderful dressing room and bedroom. The living area is beautiful but we used the back deck and kitchen more. The downstairs had a utility room with washer/dryer, bedroom with TV, and living room made up just for us for the second teenager by Pam who did I mention is wonderful?. The location is perfect, literally a block and a half from the beach where there are restaurants, coffee bars, etc. I had a BBQ while there with some friends and family...they are thinking of renting it for a week next summer so they can just hang at the beach...they live in Seattle!! That's how great we think this place is. Definitely recommend it 100% for families or a few friends for some activities and quiet time.

This wonderful Alki Beach bungalow was perfect for us to share with another couple. The home is exactly as described in the listing and so clean, very charming. Beautiful garden. So conveniently located, nice quiet neighborhood but not far from the wedding location, good places to eat, and the beach. We had everything we needed in the kitchen too. Owner was helpful in answering questions prior to our stay. We would love to stay here again!

We really appreciated the beautiful front and backyard, the hot tub and sunny decks. The kitchen was light-filled, roomy and well-stocked with cooking utensils and basic condiments. We used the hot tub, the Weber grill and the outdoor fireplace, and appreciated that there was already a bag of charcoal bricquets and kindling available. The only (slight) negative we could find was the rather limited selection of Netflix available and the lack of a DVD player. Other than that, our stay was great!

This delightful house met our every expectation and beyond. The location was perfect for us, we loved neighborhood and the community of West Seattle with its easy access to the rest of the Seattle area. The home was delightfully decorated, very clean, and had a lovely sense of home away from home. The owners were readily available to help in any way. The hot tub, heated floors, and well-equipped kitchen were especially appreciated. The separate downstairs quarters gave us all a sense of plenty of space. We joined other family members for Thanksgiving but were able to create our special dishes to bring in this wonderful kitchen. Despite the record rainfall, we enjoyed many walks to the strand and ate at two of the wonderful restaurants. We hope to come back in the summer, and enjoy the yard when the sun is shining! We would happily recommend this property to friends and family.

We stayed at the Bungalow to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary and I have to say it was worth every penny. We were not sure how this whole thing would work out and were a bit nervous considering all the fraud that goes on in the world today. We received the invoice as paid in full and a code to get in the home, but outside of that we had no idea really what to expect other than what the pictures and reviews told us. To our surprise we arrived to find the home well light both inside and out at around 8:30pm. After entering the property we found a handwritten note welcoming us - very comforting. We walked around to get familiar with the property and it didn't take long to realize how accommodating the property was. At first we thought maybe the cleaners forgot a few things as the fridge still had some jars and bottles of condiments left in it and the freezer had some ice cream and bread. However, after we reviewed the notebook which provided the house instructions, it was clear then that the items we found were there by design. We had stopped off at the local Safeway up the road prior to arriving at the property assuming there would be nothing in the home to eat or drink. We picked up several basic items (e.g. butter, bread, milk, coffee, snacks, etc.,) and found that there were plenty of items in the cupboards and pantry downstairs for us to use as we liked. It was apparent that these items had been left by previous guests - I thought this was a cool idea. There was clothes detergent and plenty of soap, shampoo and conditioner even though we had brought our own. Nice touch I thought. The kitchen was very well stocked with cooking utensils, pots, pans, cookie sheets and small kitchen appliances such as a coffee brewer, juicer, etc. This made cooking our breakfasts in the morning very nice. There was a storm the first night so we didn't get to sit on the patio for coffee, but we certainly enjoyed the spa which is surrounded by a privacy fence on the upper deck. The bed was very comfy and we slept very well. Pillows were a little flat, but other than that all was as described. The home is immaculant and very cozy. Travel to and from the city was easy and there were plenty of wonderful views of the city from Seacrest Park at night. We are very pleased with our stay and will most definetly be back - but with friends and/or family this next time. Thank you for the great memories and for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

We absolutely loved this house! The house was spotless, well maintained, well supplied, and full of unique touches. You can tell Pam and Tom take pride in their property. We felt so comfortable! We have two daughters, ages 8 and 12. Pam and Tom offered to set up an aero bed in the changing room off the master bedroom for the girls. They LOVED it! They had plenty of space and were extremely comfortable. We used the downstairs sitting room and bedroom for the girls to play and watch TV and for a little peace and quiet for few work calls that we had make. We all enjoyed sitting on the back deck, looking at the beautiful garden, and the pond! We had fun relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of sightseeing! We loved the Alki Beach area! We walked or drove to the beach almost every day and enjoyed quite a few of the restaurants there. We also took the free shuttle that picks you up down the block from the house to the West Seattle Water Taxi and took the water taxi into Downtown Seattle one night. We also loved how easily we could get to downtown Seattle via car. We would absolutely recommend staying in this home! Every aspect of our trip was perfect, from start to finish, and much of that was due to the experience provided by the owners and all the details they put into making our stay a memorable one! We loved Seattle and particularly the Alki Beach area and would definitely stay in this house again the next time we visit!

This property was everything it is claimed to be in the listing. The property was spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained and the owners were very generous in providing some additional things like essential grocery items in the cupboards and the fridge. They also provided a high chair for the baby (which is something we have been unable to get anywhere else). We were a little worried when arriving from the airport that it was going to be a bit out of the way, but our fears were groundless. The free shuttle bus to the water taxi that takes you downtown is only a couple of blocks down the road and the service is frequent enough for most travellers. There is a regular bus to the downtown area as well. Local restaurants are plentiful, particularly liked the Phoenicia for great pizza and the Mexican restaurant is top class. Sips Wine Bar in Downtown Seattle was great also and for really good coffee (the way Australians like it) try Caffe Umbria in the Progress Square area. There are lots of beautiful artifacts and objects in this property and if you can't keep small children under control I wouldn't recommend it.

It was as if we were in our own home except Alki Beach was only a few blocks away as well as many parks and the Vashon Ferry was extremely close by. We will definitely stay at this "Beach Bungalow" on our next visit to Seattle and suggest that you do to, you won't regret it.

The inside was charming with all the amenities of home.... if not more. It also has a hot tub, which was great to relax in. There was also plenty of room for all our guest to have a space to themselves. Also, It was a short walk to the heart of Alki beach. Why would you stay in a hotel, when you can get more space - a house! - for the same price. I would definitely rent the house again when I come visit Seattle again.

My family stayed here while our kitchen was being remodeled due to water damage. By the end of our stay, my daughter and I did not want to leave. Just a two block walk from Alki Beach with it's shops and restaurants, this little jewel of a home is cozy and feels secluded from it's neighbors.Amenities include a fabulous jacuzzi, 4 tv's , wood floors, a master bedroom that feels like a classy berth on a yacht, a goldfish pond, and a seperate intrance to the lower level which is great for groups who require a little privacy from each other. The owner's are very helpful and being long time Seattle residents , can answer your questions about all the area has to offer. Also, the bungalow is just 15 minutes drive to downtown Seattle and a 10 minute drive to the Vashon Island ferry.
