Looking for a vacation that’s also a genuine cultural experience AND offers the comforts of home? This well-appointed new home and swimming pool is located in the colorful coastal village of San Francisco de Nayarit, known locally as San Pancho.

The new two level house is situated on a hill in the village overlooking both the town’s palm lined streets and the Pacific Ocean. It’s colorfully decorated with Mexican art and weavings. The swimming pool dominates the walled front yard. Designed to the specifications for water aerobics, it also serves as a lap-pool, and, of course, invites many forms of aquatic play.

The house features, besides the swimming pool, a second story master bedroom and adjoining bath, a fully equipped-kitchen (including stove with oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Cuisnart), spacious living/dining area (with additional sleeping space which brings to four the number of people that can be accommodated), downstairs full bath, a relaxing, shaded rear patio with views of the mountains to the south and east, palapa covered front patio overlooking the pool (when you need to retreat from the direct rays of the tropical sun), charming gardens, an observation roof deck that affords not only views of the ocean, but of the jungle crowned mountains as well. Maid service is included three days a week. The house is located on a cul-de-sac, which minimizes traffic. The neighborhood is a friendly place, and our neighbors will welcome you. An eight minute walk gets you to the beach.

San Pancho is located approximately 40 minutes from the Puerto Vallarta airport. There is good transportation from airport to town. But rest assured, San Pancho is a world apart from the tourist hustle of Puerto Vallarta. Set in an estuarial valley, surrounded by tropical rain forest, meeting the sea along a mile long, often entirely vacant, beach, San Pancho is the real Mexico. The village is friendly, tidy, relatively prosperous (the regional hospital is located here), and still very much Mexican (though not without a number of amenities fine restaurants, equipment rental, internet café catering to visitors).

Besides lounging, swimming, reading by poolside, activities include: Surfing, here and in neighboring Sayulita, Jungle Walks, Bird Watching, Deep Sea fishing, Horseback riding, Bicycling, Spanish Classes, Dance classes, Yoga classes, Sea Kayaking, Exploring the surrounding area, Music and dancing in local restaurants, Come to San Pancho for a richly rewarding vacation experience.
