  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Palace. The condo was perfect for our needs. Although the condo could use some updating, it was a great dollar value. The only problem we had was the toilet in the yellow bathroom. It did not work very well but other units had the same problem. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds were comfortable, lots of linens, toys, bogey boards and chairs for the beach, DVDs and books. It had it all for us and the young ones who came to visit.   We had a wonderful stay in this condo right on the beach.  It was nice having sheets and towels and many of the comforts of home provided. That's not always the case  with beach condos. The owner provided good customer service and answered all my inquiries quickly. I would recommend this unit to friends and family and I would stay there again.

  My family and I stayed in this room at the Palace resort last week and it was not at all like what the pictures showed. We were beyond disappointed with the cleanliness and overall appearance of this condo. It is in major need of a makeover and cleaning!! From a safety standpoint, many of the outlets in the room did not even have covers on them which made it stressful with a 3 year old running around. The handle on the door to the patio was about to fall off making it very difficult to open or close the door. If you were out on the balcony and had the door closed, you would have to knock to have someone let you in. There were several drywall "repairs" that had been started but never finished so the place looked very messy and not very well taken care of. The bedroom/bathroom doors had cracks or holes in them as well. The door in the master bedroom out to the patio was so dry-rotted that it did not even shut all the way. Instead there was a sign saying do not use this door. The floors and floor boards were also in need of repair. The blinds were all falling apart, I could go on and on.... The shower in the 2nd bathroom barely worked and made it difficult to get the sand and sunscreen off, so we ended up all using the same shower for the week. Not ideal when you purposely book a room with 2 bathrooms so you are not all crammed into one. The bed in the 2nd bedroom was 2 twin beds pushed together, which shouldn't have been an issue, but the mattress was so old that they were completely uneven and beyond uncomfortable. As for the overall resort, I would not recommend staying here to anyone. The resort was very dirty, the pools were so small for such a large resort, when you were in them you could not even move. We would have to wait 20 minutes or more for an elevator at times and would end up using the steps, which when you have all of your beach gear is not easy. We had several issues of being woken up in the middle of the night because of people screaming and the resort did not care at all. It happened almost every single night we were there. People would also light off fireworks (which would hit the building) until the wee hours of the morning and informing the front desk did not help at all. Our family was looking forward to this trip for a very long time and we could not have been more disappointed. Another disappointment was when we sent an email to the owner about the condition and that part of the email was totally ignored.

  This is my third time staying here and I always enjoy my vacation. The condo is centrally located and so close to the beach. I appreciate all the extras provided especially the books and movies. Everything is so cutely decorated and the owner clearly goes above and beyond to think of all the items you would need while on vacation. Will definitely return again next year!

  The kiddos had an amazing time! We rented this condo for a group of seniors for their senior trip and they had an amazing time. The owner was very helpful and didn't seem to mind all my aggravating questions and request. I visited the room when we first got there and it was very clean and had everything plus some to make it an enjoyable trip for the young ones. Would certainly stay here myself!

  Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, romantic getaway.

  Cute condo with lots of beach theme decor and paint! Loved the views of the ocean and sunrise from the balcony. The beach was very close....plan to stay again in the summer.

  We're very familiar with the Palace and this is by far the best unit! The pictures do not do it justice. The owner arranged for us to meet the maid there so we could see the condo and we booked on the spot for the rest of October. Only negative is that the elevators can be a little slow during peak hours.

  My husband and myself rented this condo for one week from October 1-8, 2011. I would agree with everything in the previous review. The building itself was better that I expected from some of the negative reviews of the Palace. But the condo was more run down and tired than I expected. The location of the condo - just off the elevator and with views of the parking garage was not the best. The queen bed (the one we used) was sunken in the middle and we woke each day with a sore back. I would not say that the condo was dirty as it was not - but it certainly was not well maintained. The walls all needed painting, the patio door would not open properly and the wooden door to the patio from the master bedroom looked like it would fall into pieces it you opened it and the laminate floors need replacing. I am sure that in a heavy rain with the wind blowing into the wooden door in the master bedroom door that the rain would come it. The ceiling near one of a/c vents was dirty so I wonder how good the air quality was. Regarding the building itself - the lobby looked nice, the elevators were not too slow (we were there in a slow time), the location was good, but the pools were not heated and I would think that in October they should have been heated. The hot tubs were hit and miss - some days one or two of them would be working and other days not. I cannot remember whether they claim to have an indoor pool - but they DO NOT. One of the 2 outdoor pools has a small portion (around 4-6 feet) that goes under a wall and that small portion was inside - but again NOT heated. This was our first time renting a privately owned condo and we will try again hoping that we have better luck next time. If you get a good price and don't expect much, this condo was OK. Probably I would have thought it was an OK place when I was younger and traveling with kids. Had games, DVD's, sand toys, etc for kids use.

  My wife and I along with my aunt and uncle, rented this condo for two weeks during summer 2011. We arrived very late (1:00am) due to a delayed flight and we were very anxious to get to bed only to find the lousiest mattresses we've ever slept on. First of all, the owner had told me that one room had a king bed and the other room had a queen bed. Well, the room that was supposed to have a king bed, had two twin beds put together! Suprise!!! I would not be complaining if at least the two twin beds had decent mattresses. The one I slept on was sunken in and every morning my wife and I woke up with a sore back! My aunt and uncle slept in the other room with the queen bed and even though the condition of the mattress seemed better, they too were waking up in the morning with a sore back. The condo was not well maintained. I would not say that it was dirty but it was definitely not well kept. The walls had marks and dents in them. In one corner, the plaster had been broken off and you could see the metal corner on the drywall. One of the bedroom doors had a hole on the inside as if someone had put there fist in it. The patio door leading to the balcony (oceanview) did not lock because the lock was broken. I did not complain too much about this because the condo was located on the sixth floor. The ceiling close to one of the AC vents was dirty which led you to believe that the air coming from that vent was also dirty. During our stay, the maintenance crew from the Palace resort passed by to change the AC air filter but the room where the central air unit was located,was so full of dust that you wondered how they can change the air filters and not clean around the unit. The vacuum cleaner that we found in the closet had no suction even though it turned on. Last but not least, the oven was not working and I had to call the owner several times before she sent a repair-man to fix it. The repair man finally came two days before leaving. The condo is well-located and that's about the only positive thing I have to say about it. If the owner would take better care of it and change the mattresses, it would have been a totally different story. I would definitely not recommend this condo to a friend.

  I loved the great selection of books. We stayed for a month and spent a lot of time collecting shells and metal detecting on the beach. My husband even found me a diamond ring! Great value and nice condo.
