Great studio apartment with beautiful lanai

The secret garden studio was really wonderful. We loved having breakfast and after-dinner drinks on the lanai, and were able to cook meals when we wanted to. The surrounding area is very nice, but we drove to the beach rather than walking. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. We'd definitely go again!

this was the 3rd time we have stayed in this studio condo. Great location, just up the road from the Shops at Wailea. Within a few minutes drive.to 3 of the best beaches. Garden view out on lanai, and wonderful birds. Washer & dryer are such a convenience, fabulous beach chairs. Love the complex and the decor of the condo is very up to date and has complete compliment of any thing you might need. Perfect location!!!

It was amazing stay! Studio is very nice. It is used mostly for overnight stay (we spent most of daytime on beach/in town), but it's so nice, that you will enjoy it even in daytime. Only one disappointing thing - there is no oven in the kitchenette, so be ready to cook your meals in microwave or electric frying pan (buy food accordingly). Lanai has a very beautiful view to garden. It's really a great pleasure to sit there while having breakfast. Also this condo allows you to stay fit - you have a chance to have a 10-minute walk to beach. We like to walk, so it was a great benefit for us. However you can choose to ride a car. There are a lot of places nearby where you can have a breakfast or lunch. Dinners a pretty expensive in this area. Special thanks for detailed message from owner - we had a lot of ideas about where to go, where to eat, what to visit. Very helpful. What else? Just rent this condo and enjoy! It worth every penny I paid. Best value for less money!

This is my second time staying at one of Gail's properties. She lists the property as a studio, but it feels like a HUGE one bedroom. I love the way she decorates her places, always island and always SUPER CLEAN. There are so many things right at your finger tips, you don't even have to think about needing anything. The bed is very comfortable with hi thread count sheets. The kitchen comes with everything you need to cook. I didn't miss having a stove at all, the electric skillet worked perfect for our meals. The laundry is located in a little room on the lanai and really comes in handy since I pack light for long trips to Maui. Gail is extremely thorough with describing her properties and also gives tips on where to eat and how to have a great a safe vacation. The communication was perfect throughout my experience booking, it makes me want to be better at it in my own business! I would definitely recommend this to anyone new or returning to Maui. It is located in a beautiful neighborhood in Wailea, a short walk or drive to anything you could want or need. We loved eating at Gail's recommendations, including :Capiche? at Hotel Wailea and Matteo's pizza (you can walk). Can't wait to go back in Oct, I wouldn't stay anywhere else, she's got the best value for your buck!

Wonderful place, very comfortable accomodation

We stayed in Secret Studio for just one week in April 2011; one week too short at least! The studio is very clean, comfortable, decorated with a great taste and care. We had wonderful time there. The big advantage is lanai - overlooking lush garden; birds awoken us every morninig. The place itself (Grand Champions) is very beautiful and picturesque; during our stay we've been to may places on Maui and we think that Wailea is the most beautiful. If I am to be back on Maui (hopefully I will), I will definitely choose Secret Studio. One can say that we should try somenthing new (I am usually of such opinion as well); but not in case of Maui, Wailea and Grand Chamopins. I dont want to take any risk and I can reccommend you Secret Studio. I would like to thank Gail and Leon once again for their care and that our stay on Maui was so easy-going and unforgetable. They were very helpful trying to find some options for our Big Island one-day-trip, with their advice where to eat, do shopping and so on. Thanks!!! And hope - see you again

I have stayed in the studio units on 3 trips and will definitely return. The units are wonderfully located in Wailea and are well-appointed and a great value. Having kitchen and laundry facilities is a plus for me.

Great studio apartment. Clean, great location, and much more affordable than the area hotels. Central to Wailea, and only about 5 minute drive to south Kihei as well. There are also a lot of amenities you wouldn't find at a hotel, such as beach chairs, coolers, full size refrigerator, and washer/dryer. Came with very detailed instructions, which were super helpful. Gail is very organized and attentive, and it was very easy to work with her. Would highly recommend!

We stayed in the apartment during late August/early September 2009 and had a WONDERFUL time. The apartment is spacious and VERY well equipped, super comfortable and simply had everything we needed. The location is great, just 2 minutes from Waliea shops, with many restaurant choices, 5 minutes drive from Keihi with even more options!, and 5 minutes from several gorgeous beaches! This region has the best weather in all of the island and is well situated by main roads that make exploring very very easy. Gail is a superb host - providing great communication, good detailed information on the apartment facilities and recommendations for restaurants and activities in the area. Very friendly and could not have been more helpful. The booking process was simple, exceptionally friendly and without any fuss or error. We would return and/or recommend without any hesitation! The activities in Waliea and Maui were brilliant a few of our favourites included: * Kayaking and snorkelling with Green Turtles (Maui Kayak's) * Seeing the sunrise from the top of the 10,000ft volcano - and then cycling down it from 6,500ft at 20-30 mph! (Hakela * Being part of a Luau - I can still hear the music! * Hiring Harley Davidson's and cruising the road to Hana (Hula Hogs) * Sushi and Sunsets at Five Palms in Waliea * Seafood and views at Mama's Fish House (Paia) Thank you Gail for helping us to have the holiday of a lifetime!

We really enjoyed our stay at the 'Secret Studio' in Wailea. The unit was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. It's a short walk to the shops and beaches, a great location. We had our morning coffee and evening wine on the lanai, the birds provided lots of entertainment. It makes a great place to come home to after a day exploring Maui. A delightful stay - my wife and I (both in our 30s) enjoyed our time in your condo - thank you Gail. While we were initially apprehensive about the location (Wailea), it turned out to be an excellent choice - beaches were a stone's throw away, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from and nothing was too far. Quite happy we did not choose the resorts in Kaanapali which we were originally thinking about. This was great value and equally luxurious. All amenities mentioned in the advert were there, the property was clean, and your recommendations for restaurants were most helpful. One little tip for everyone - drive down south on the oceanfront road towards Makena, its a lovely serene drive.

We stayed at the Secret Garden Studio March 24 - 30 and couldn't have been happier! The location was fantastic, and the condo was clean, quiet (except for all of our noisy, beautiful bird neighbors that woke us up each morning. But what a wonderful way to wake up!) and just what we needed. We had a great time in Maui, thanks in part to Gail's suggestions. All the places we ate were great, and the best part of the trip was the canoeing with the Kihei Canoe Club. Thanks, Gail for the wonderful idea! We also loved the whale watching trip with the Pacific Whale Foundation - this is a MUST if you're in Maui during whale season. We loved everything about the little condo, and would definitely stay there again. Mahalo, Gail!!

We've just spent 2 weeks in your condo and loved it! It's cute, comfortable, clean and in a beautiful location. We loved it! I just wanted to drop a note and tell you how much we enjoyed our stay in your lovely Tree Top Studio and how we appreciated all your good recommendations. The morning bird symphony was enchanting and the tropical landscaping was lovely as was your decor and thoughtful inclusion of everything for the beach (The cooler was a particular godsend.). The quiet and peacefulness and lovely cross breeze made us think we had found a bit of heaven. Breakfast on the lanai with the cardinals, house finches and mynas chirping away, with the bougainvilleas fairly glowing in the background made it a special pleasure. We really felt pampered....... At any rate, I just wanted to thank you for making our too short vacation so memorable, relaxing and enjoyable.

What a wonderful place to stay on such a gorgeous island as Maui is. My wife and I are a little wistful as this is our final leg of a "tri-island" honeymoon (Kauai and Molokai representing the other "two-thirds"). This is a cozy, charming place to stay. We enjoyed the many artistic, plantation touches in the decor. The privacy and quiet were additional pluses---such a contrast to the crowded, noisy and bustling pace of the Kihei area. We are in Maui to help relatives celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Their son lives in Makawao and at our suggestions, will spread the word that your condo is a well-located and wonderful place to kick back and relax. Lorraine couldn't be nicer or more helpful.
