As you enter into the great room with cathedral ceiling; beautiful Travertine stone floors; and a wall of windows providing breathtaking views of the ocean and the best beach on Hilton Head Island. All floors in the common areas of the home are Travertine stone, while the floors in the bedrooms and the upstairs hall are Brazilian cherry. The staircase going up to the 2nd floor is also Brazilian cherry with a beautiful custom iron railing. Travertine stone again graces all of the bathrooms and showers of this gorgeous oceanfront home.
In the great room of this beautiful Hilton Head Island oceanfront vacation home are two large (8 ft.)leather sofas, five comfortable swivel chairs throughout the room, a large 42 inch flat screen HDTV and a VCR/DVD.
A game room off the great room is the perfect spot for relaxation and family fun with its full size pool table, a beautiful granite wet bar, a large beverage center, built-in window seating, a 42 inch flat screen HDTV, DVD, stereo, a large leather sofa and two leather chairs, a large chair with ottoman, and a library of books for the person who enjoys "quiet time".
The fully equipped, gourmet kitchen with ocean view provides top of the line all new appliances, 5 burner electric cooktop, built in electric grill, 2 deluxe refrigerators- both with bottom freezers with ice-makers, double ovens, quiet dishwasher, microwave, and a free standing ice maker that will provide plenty of icy drinks for those hot Hilton Head Island days! The custom cabinets include a built in desk and double pantries. There is a huge island with a spacious bar area with four bar stools. Sitting under the sky light, is a beautiful custom made tempered glass dining table with seating for 12, where you'll have views of the ocean as you dine.
On the first floor of this beautiful Hilton Head oceanfront rental vacation home are two bedrooms, one is a 2nd Master and has a King bed, sleeper sofa,a 40inch flat screen HDTV with DVD, bath room with beautiful stone and glass shower, and doors leading out to the deck and the hot tub, with a beautiful ocean view. The other bedroom has two double beds, a 32 inch flat screen HDTV, bathroom with double bowl sink, tub/shower and a door leading out to the deck with a wonderful ocean view. There is a laundry room with a full-size washer and dryer and a large utility sink and half-bath off game room.
The master suite in this fabulous Hilton Head oceanfront vacation rental home is upstairs and has a King bed, a 40 inch flat screen HDTV, with DVD, a stereo sytem, and a sitting area with a queen sofa bed providing a quiet retreat after a busy day of all of those activities that Hilton Head Island offers. Doors going out onto the private balcony off the master suite, provide a sweeping view of the beautiful landscaping, sandy beaches of Hilton Head Island and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.
The wall of floor to ceiling windows allows you to view the stars and look at the moon shining on the ocean as you fall asleep. The master bath is Travertine stone and glass and has an air-jet Jacuzzi tub, where you can view the ocean while relaxing, and a special three sided all glass steamer shower to ease those muscles after a day on the courts or on one of the famous golf courses on Hilton Head Island. My family of 6 stayed at Star of the Sea the last week in August, 2011. I can't recommend it highly enough. Great location, one block from Coligney, which the kids loved. The house was spotless. The pictures dont do the house justice, it is beautiful inside. Kitchen is great as are all the bedrooms. The outside stereo speakers are a nice touch. There is a feeling of privacy in the backyard and the pool is just the right size. We have stayed at various beach-front properties over the years but this was our favorite. The owners were very easy to deal with.

Our family rented Star of the Sea June 11 - 18, 2011. We had a great time! There were 11 of us ranging in ages from 70 - 11 years old. The view was wonderful, the location is incredible, and the house was amazing! There were no surprises, the pictures and descriptions were accurate. The kids loved playing on the beach, in the pool, and in the game room. They also were able to walk to Coligny by themselves for ice cream! We also found the house to be very private. When you sit on the deck, there is a feeling of peace and quiet! We definitely plan on returning to Star of the Sea! Thank you so much for sharing your home!

We have stayed in this property for the last two years, and we can't wait to come back next year!! The location is so close to everything you could want and more. We have stayed at other homes on the island, and as nice as they were, this one takes the cake...super clean & beautiful views - just the best back drop to a great vacation! Rented May, 2011. Everything was perfect! The photos are great, but the property is even more fantastic. Immaculate and tastefully decorated. Fantastic throughout. The views are amazing. Game room with wine fridge, pool table. All rooms flat screen tv's. Pool area is great. Walking distance to Coligny circle with shops and restaurants and grocery store. Without a doubt, when I return to Hilton Head, this is where I want to stay. We stayed with our adult kids, and celebrated our grand-daughter's first birthday. Something for everyone, and we had a great time. The owners are welcoming and pleasant. A total joy. I am fussy, so if I would not write an excellent review if this house was not as clean and modern as listed.
