Our experience in this rental has been outstanding. We have come back to rent this house four summers in a row. It is comfortable, beautiful, and very welll cared for. You can tell that the owners take pride in keeping their property top notch. This rental has been great for the variety of age groups that visit us. From young children to grandparents, everyone enjoyed their visit. This house is conveniently located to nearby towns for shopping, waterfalls, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and much more. We will continue to rent this property and would highly recommend it to others.

Casa de Bear is a beautiful very private home in one of the most wonderful places in North Carolina Great place to watch the sun rise on the mountains to the west and then watch the sunset. The area has an abundance of hiking trails from beginner to expert, also great white water rafting. Everything you need for a great vacation is close. Cashiers 10 mins. & Highlands 30 mins. We plan to come back again.

We rented this house for a family reunion, and it was the 'BEST EVER'. The owners are awesome- they actually called us from a family graduation in Kentucky to make sure that everything was O.K.!! The landscaping is gorgeous, including the hot tub, the mountain pathways, and the stream with the deck to enjoy just reading, relaxing, or napping. Thank you Middletons!

We had an excellent time during our stay in Casa de Bear. The house was very comfortable, roomy enough for two families and well maintained. The setting is quite private, with lovely landscaping, a pretty creek and far mountain view. The house is close to numerous gorgeous parks, waterfalls, lakes, hiking and biking trails. A well-stocked grocery store is fifteen minutes away. The owners were wonderfully responsive and helpful. We hope to return for a stay at Casa de Bear as soon as we can.

We just wanted you to know that this was one of our best vacations. Our eldest son (10 yrs old) said "This place is the best". My mom who is 81 enjoyed herself as well. After we got all our bags packed and were ready to leave, my husband said well we have a half hour left, lets just sit and enjoy ourselves on the deck!
