  We stayed at OBX Life I from Thursday to Sunday. If we could have found a way we would have stayed another week - but unfortunately we all must work! It is such a comfortable, clean, roomy house. Couldn't have asked for anything better! 5+ stars!

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children.

  We stayed at OBX Life during a family vacation and absolutely loved it! The house exceeded our expectations and was very comfortable! It was well-kept and we all had plenty of room to spread out! My 3 year old absolutely loved the bunk beds! We loved the location and enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub watching the sunrises and sunsets! We had a great time eating at the pier, going to eat out at Owens, going to the dunes, shopping, going to the fishing harbor to see the fish caught, and made lots of wonderful memories cooking up delicious food in the nice kitchen! The owner was wonderful to work with and was very quick in his response to any questions I had. I would highly recommend this rental property to friends and family and we plan on going back and staying in this house next year!

  We recently spent a family vacation at OBXI. It was my husband and I, our young adult children and one grandchild. The house was a big hit with everyone! The location was great. We spent a lot of time on the back porch and the beach. We also used the pool quite a lot. The house was very clean and the kitchen was nicely equipped. The owners were very easy to communicate with and quickly answered all my questions before our trip.

  Stayed a week with another family looking to relax. That is exactly what we did! The house is located right on a perfect beach. We did however use the pool often when the waves got a little rough for the young ones. Kids liked to swim at the pool at night. The jacuzzi situated right on the seck facing the ocean was a plus for kids and adults. The house was clean and plenty big enough so it did not feel like we were on top of each other. I know it's been said in other reviews but the ice maker/machine was GREAT and used quite often to bring some frost beverages to the beach or pool. Take advantage of the pier 4 houses down for lunch and a beer. They have 10 cent shrimp at happy hour. You can also fish from it. The next time we stay in OBX we will with out a doubt stay here again!

  Great Home, Great owner, Great Weather, Great location. This was our first time at OBX. We had a wondeful time and this house is a great fit for us. Everything is first class and just a great place to relax and play. It worked for everyone, the adults and the little ones. Thank you OBX Life I for a great vacation. WE WILL BE BACK!!!

  We had a great vacation! The location of this house is awesome, The beach is not crowded, close to the Outer Banks fishing pier, and within a short drive to many great eateries and shopping. The owner is great to work with, great communication, the house was as described and we definately would recommend this property.

  The OBX1 is incredible! I found the property to be like home away from home.It is well equipted with everything you need for a wonderful vacation & the location couldn't be better.This is a place I hope to spend many more relaxing vacations. Most rentals seem to be very sparingly equipted especially in the kithchen....not this place.Plenty of everything plates,utensils,cookware,cutting boards....even an ice maker to fill your coolers for the beach.If you visit this place please take loving care of it because the owners are very nice & I plan on returning real soon.

  We were very pleased with every aspect of our stay. From confirming the rental details with the owner, to communication with the owner, to the property description, cleanliness, and location... everything met or exceeded our expectations. We loved being right on the beach. For kids it is great to be able to deal with food, bathrooms, etc. The unit has a hose and shower to knock sand off, a nice shaded deck for the adults to take turns relaxing (young kids... someone has to dig the holes in the sand, teach sand castle basics, and frolic in the waves with them!). The kitchen area is open to facilitate meals, the wi-fi provided good, stable internet access, and my phone (Verizon) worked well (for those like me tethered to an electronic leash!). The pool is very small, and near the road, but it was not a focus for us. The hot tub is on the deck overlooking the ocean, and was a nice way to relax. Sunrise from the porch was great, saw dolphins playing in the surf, and had a great time. The rooms were comfortable, and the kids loved the shelves in the ladder/stairs for the bunk bed. Plenty of TV's to settle over-tired kids. But the key is the nice beach location. You just can't beat being steps from the beach! Everything about our stay was positive, and we would absolutely recommend this beach house (and owner) to anyone who feels the written description for this house meets their needs. If this house size, description, and location is what you are after, rest assured that this property will meet or exceed your expectations. Great stay. Loved our time at OBX Life 1. Thanks!

  We had a beautiful week at the end of September this year... We came in just after a hurricane and rainy/cloudy/cool weather had been forecast for our week, but we had 5 lovely, warm and sunny days! The house (OBX Life) is nicely appointed with nice bedrooms and the family space is nicely laid out. We liked the pool too! Resort Realty is fantastic as well - we had an issue with the phone in the house, and they looked into and resolved it very promptly. Thanks for a great week.

  We loved the cozy feel of this house and you can't beat the location, quiet and right next to the Outer Banks pier! My husband and I loved looking out at the ocean and stars from the hot tub...priceless! The kids loved the pool and EVERYONE loved the ice machine....genius! We will be back for sure.
