My extended family of 18 stayed in this home for a weekend. We had a wonderful experience. We brought a few air mattresses and had plenty of space for everyone to sleep. There is a large tv in the living room that we were able to watch the Olympics on while we played cards, ate, and just hung out. The home was stocked with everything that we needed (towels, kitchen supplies, etc.) Some of our group really enjoyed fishing in the 2 stocked ponds and caught several fish over the 2 days we were there. A couple of the boys took a ride around one of the ponds in one of the boats provided. We had a great evening sitting out in the back yard, looking over one of the ponds visiting while enjoying the sounds of nature. We felt like we were out in the middle of no where. We would have also enjoyed a campfire in the fire pit but conditions were too dry for that. The owner was very kind and helpful - her directions were perfect. Our family has stayed in this wonderful home twice, and enjoyed every minute of it!!! It is our favorite getaway place. The property is just beautiful, and there are so many fun things to do. The house is very spacious and tidy, too. We hope to visit again soon!!! Our 7 adults and 5 toddlers all had a great time at this place. We stayed a full week and only left the property once. The owners were very helpful and friendly. The location is as described. The beds are great and the home clean. Warning... there is no bathtubs only showers and there is no dishwasher but everything else is in place for an extended stay. All of us caught plenty of fish and had a blast boating around the two lake/ponds. There is definetly wild life and that was fun to explore with the kids. We would, and already have, recommended this to our friends and, our family is likely to return.Owner response: Thank you for staying with us and your kind review! My family and I just stayed here for a few days after Christmas. Everything was exactly as advertised. We had 11 adults and 6 children UNDER 6! We never felt crowded. The living space in the home was so open and perfect for little ones running around with plenty of room for adults. We had so much fun playing outside; going on hikes, night campfire, and boat races. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed to do all our cooking at home and the grocery store was pretty easy to find in town. We couldn't believe how spacious and homey a 3 bed/2 bath felt with 17 people in it! There's no dishwasher so we used all paper products except for cooking and serving. The property has a lot of red clay outside, so it's a factor inside.... stained some socks, but well worth it. It's all hard flooring so we did sweep a few times while we were there because tracking it in is unavoidable. Nothing to worry about though. It's part of the "country experience." We needed a place to gather as a family and spend some uninterupted time together and get away. This was just the thing! We could not beat the price for a family get-away anywhere else. It's very well kept and a great space. We will probably stay here again. Next time, we'll be sure to have our fishing gear.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

We enjoyed a family reunion at the beautiful pond house. Our family included 22 kids until 16! The house and grounds were perfect for many different actitives to fit many different personalities! The house is comfortable, clean, well stocked and convenient to many Oklahoma City, Edmond, and Guthrie events. The owners are very personable and accessible. We will definitely book the pond house in the near future.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

My cousins and I drove out to the woods and had an amazing time! We all fit comfortably in the bunk room. We had a blast fishing and each caught a fish! We swam in the ponds and laid on floats all day. We also rode four wheelers along all of the trails. At night we grilled out in the grills on the back porch and watched a movie in the spacious living room. We all sat around the table and played cards for hours. It is very relaxing and inviting for families of all sorts. It is the perfect slow paced get away that id great for family time and some adventure! The owners are very kind and accommodating. if you want to take your family on a vacation, a "home away from home", this is the perfect outdoor getaway for you!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway.

I recently stayed at this house with 6 other people, and the accommodations were great! It is very clean and well kept. It is a very welcoming house with plenty of activities to do. We fished, swam, hung out on the dock, grilled, road four-wheelers on the trails, and cooked s'mores. The house offers great relaxation time after a long day out on the water. I definitely recommend this place for anyone needing a country vacation. The kitchen offers everything you could need to prepare meals. It also has a washer and dryer, which is very helpful for long stays. The owners are family oriented, kind people who are very helpful! This is a relaxing getaway that I highly recommend!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

We couldn't afford to take our 6 kids out of town for vacation this year so....we decided to take them camping. The property is not on a "lake", however it was better! The two private ponds were huge and we didn't have to worry about it being crowed with boats and people everywhere. We were able to fish and go boating as early or late as we wanted to (no curfew).The house was very neat & clean.The home is managed by the owners which is a plus. They were willing to accommodate the needs of my family and I can tell they really wanted us to experience what their family enjoy. We watched a scary movie one night then took the kids hiking. the looks on their faces was priceless...lol. My kids are growing up so fast, sometimes they make me feel like they don't need me anymore...but that night...LMBO! Lets just say that I'm my daughters hero again. My kids said they haven't had that much fun in a long time. We can't wait to go back, but next time we'll have to take paper plates etc. They do provide dishes, however there is no dishwasher.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.

The home is exactly as described, in great shape and was very comfortable for our entire family. If you are looking for a quiet getaway full of nature, hiking, fishing, campfires and good family fun, this is the place you have been looking for. There are trails cut through the entire property and we took a hike every day. Big enough to feel like you are in the country, small enough that you won't get lost walking around. The fish were biting and the kids loved catching so many fish and playing around the two ponds. There is a Wal-mart twenty minutes from the property to stock up on everything you need but be prepared to not want to leave the property once the gate closes behind you. This trip was our family "camping compromise". We got to do everything normally done on a camping trip with the luxury of a fully appointed home to relax in when necessary. The owner was available to answer any questions we had and even called after our stay to check on how everything was. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting a quiet, country-style vacation experience with all the conveniences of home in a location convenient to everything. We will be coming back.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners.
