Quiet, private and cozy cottage...we could hear and see the waves crash from the window. Owner was very nice and genuinely cares about the property and his guests. Did some awesome snowshoeing and exploring of the area. REALLY REALLY hard to leave! Looking forward to coming back during the summer to check out the awesome beach more...

I am having a very hard time tearing myself away from this sanctuary. We have had a great time here, walking the beach, journeying out for little adventures exploring the peninsula, talking with the wonderful people in Calumet and all along our paths - then being able to come "home" to our cozy cabin. The boys Winslow and Bradley, have been in heaven being able to run the beach and do their own ground level exploring. Thank you for welcoming them (they loved the biscuits you left for them) When I come back next year (at least I hope to) this place will be where I want to be.

What a great time! We got all that we wished for... A cabin with all the creature comforts, Big waves, one great sunset and peaceful time together as a family. We loved the beach although it was cold and fearsome most of our stay. We also had a great time exploring the peninsula. Thanks for sharing this great spot with us!

I can't imagine a more beautiful spot or more comfortable accommodations. Thank you! P.S. I bought a copy of Armour, too. You should get a commission!

Had an absolutely wonderful stay. The weather was windy but sunny, very different from when we were here in May! Tom found a couple agates within an hour of our arrival. We saw a total of 9 freighters which included one at night, which was totally awesome! The eagle made a couple of appearances. There were a "flock" of grouse to greet us plus various other migrating birds. Once again, our many thanks...

Enjoyed a wonderful week, spending many hours gazing at the lake, watching sunsets, walking the beach and even swimming in Superior. Weather was warm and sunny until the last day of rains + winds - but even that was a treat to see the lake at its fiercest! Our toddler loved running in the yard and throwing stones in the lake. Also enjoyed kayaking out of Copper Harbor, hiking Bare Bluff, and seeing the sights of the Keweenaw. Thank you Philip - hope to return!

Philip, Thank you for Sharing your little piece of heaven! The stay with our 3 granddaughters was perfect! I especially enjoyed the quiet time in the morning with my cup of coffee in awe of the "big lake" Even though we had rain Friday morning, the rain held off until I could enjoy myself at the waters edge! My Husband found enoughrocks to keep him busy for quite a while. As perfect as this week was, I would like to come here for a week in the winter. To say this is a vacation we wont forget is an understatement. You truly have a gem here! We hope you enjoyed your week long trip to Isle Royale. The sunsets were unbelievable! We couldn't have picked a better destination.

Lovely Cottage! Thanks for having us. Alex explored Michigan Tech and is considering coming back for college. We all got some snow-shoeing and x country skiing in. Our dog loved the fact that he could run and be with the family.

Didn't take a year to get back! What a wonderful birthday present my husband gave me - 2 nights at our favorite place. See you in August! P.S. Sunday was a beautiful sunny day!

We had such a nice honeymoon at North Shore Cottage. Sleeping with the wind and the waves, not distinguishing one from the other & enjoying them both. So many Robins in the yard at this time of year!! We usually went to bed early, tired from driving, seeing the sights, & throwing fishing poles in wherever we could. Then we wake up late to total darkness until you look up at the brilliant stars. We visited Keweenaw mining sites, Copper Harbor, Eagle Harbor, Cliff Rd., Swedetown, many, many lakes. Saw a small black bear by the road about 10mi out of Copper Harbor on us 41. Thank you for the card, champagne, and the quiet, beautiful atmosphere. The front porch was a great place to relax. Hope to come back for our anniversary!

What a perfect place! The cottage was everything that we'd expected and even more. This was the perfect spot to use as a "home base" during the 14th Gathering of Cornish Cousins. We spent many amazing hours on the porch relaxing watching the lake. We walked and gathered many pounds of Lake Superior rocks and there were a couple of agates among them. The lake was beautifully calm & cold but we even managed to swim. This has been a great place to relax & watch the sunset. The only thing we missed were the Northern Lights.

Coming here was a spur of the moment idea and we were surely lucky to have found this place! The lake views are almost surreal to transplanted city-based folk like us! The Roberts' are great hosts and look out for anything you might need. Would love to return in mid-winter to see all the snow as were both snowbirds also... A great place for quiet, relaxation & reflection - Thanks for opening up your land & hearts to others!

Last year we spent our 19th Anniversary in Silver City. We love it there, but this year we spent our 20th here. My husband gave me a ruby and diamond ring, sitting here at the table watching the lake. Cool!! We caught 10 trout and kept 4. Beautiful beach. One of the best for rock hounds like us. Very nice cottage and the stream was very nice. We walked this beach and the Calumet Waterworks. Lovely.

We are so happy we discovered your homey cabin since we come up here often to visit our father who lives in Laurium. Just being on Lake superior (any time of year) is wonderful. In the three days we were here, we experienced a snow storm (which we were hoping for) colorful sunsets, moon glow off the lake, and snow drifts shinning like diamonds in the morning sun.

We had two AWESOME days of snowmobiling from morning till night - then just fell into bed with our sore bodies! The place was QUIET - just what we needed to re-energize!

What more could I add to the journal that has not already been said! Having Brewery creek right next to us is so charming. It's all most like a fairybook setting. Just loved it! Sunsets were breathtaking. We will be back next summer. Also seeing hummingbirds + butterflies was great. Thanks for a great week!

We had a wonderful time staying in your adorable little cabin and relaxing next to beautiful Lake Superior. The sounds of the brook and the waves from the lake, together with the sights of the sunset on the distant horizon and the clear skies above made for the perfect getaway environment. Thank you for your hospitality and for sharing your little piece of paradise!
