On the west end of the seawall, The Maravilla Resort Condominium is located at 9520 Seawall Blvd. Galveston, TX 77554. Our condo is on the very front of the complex with unobstructed views where the Gulf of Mexico offers the fresh scent of salt water, great ocean breezes, and unlimited sights and sounds of the sea.
Our beach condo is a corner unit on the 3rd floor with easy elevator and staircase access. While we help “offset” our condo habit by renting to vacationers, this is truly our own “getaway” and we like to keep the condo VERY CLEAN and furnished with nice linens, kitchen essentials, paper products, and the little extras that are not always included in a rental.
For those of you unfamiliar with Galveston, the seawall was built at the turn of the century to protect the island from hurricane storm surges. At seven miles long it is purported to be the longest continuous sidewalk in the world. (Does the Great Wall of China have a 'sidewalk' on top?;-) The island is rich with history. The beaches never get boring. The restaurants are fabulous. Shopping is great. There is always something to do on Galveston Island!
Our condo is on the west end of the seawall and the best beaches are just a short walk in either direction. If you prefer to drive, some beaches allow parking which makes it very convenient to transport all those beach necessities like toys, chairs and coolers.
The condos are near Galveston fishing piers, Moody Gardens, golfing, miniature golf, bungee jump, Schlitterbahn Waterpark, Scholes Airport, the Lone Star Flight Museum and for those rainy days, the movie theatre. Public transportation is available including taxis, buses, trolleys, and horse drawn carriages on the Strand. The Strand and cruise ship docks are a short drive into the historical district. Our condo is close to everything but far enough west down the seawall to avoid the hustle and bustle of the 'tourist zone'.
No, Galveston is not Cancun (and the Gulf of Mexico is not the Caribbean) but you and your family will not want for entertainment, great seafood and a comfortable, two bedroom condo on Galveston Island. E-mail us for a calendar of Galveston events. The fun just never stops!
Our clean, fresh condo includes marble floors, a fully equipped sparkling kitchen, TVs, VCRs/DVDs, king, queen and sofa beds. It is tastefully furnished with a beach and ocean motif. All linens are furnished as well. There are washer and dryer facilities on each floor. All you need to bring is your swimsuit! Many of the Maravilla's units are owners’ vacation homes and are self-managed, so we really care about our guests and property. We like to share our island home with family and friends and love repeat visitors! Just a note, there are only a few condominiums in Galveston that are actually 'on the beach'. The ocean is front of The Maravilla, but swimming is not accessible directly in front of the condos.

Mari, Our stay at your condo was fantastic. It was very comfortable for all of us and my 3-yr old literally didn't want to leave yesterday saying she 'loves her new house'! The view from the spacious balcony was calming and comforting. The inside decoration is very soothing and tasteful. The beds are really comfortable. The kitchen had everything that we needed to prepare some of our meals. The grill at the balcony came very handy. The pool area is also very nice and the pool was sparkling clean. This place is so close to everything yet far from the busy crowded area. We are coming back....(wish we had another long weekend in Oct)Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

We’ve stayed in this unit many times and always book in advance to make sure it’s available. We usually have the “little’s” in tow with travel playpen and all the extras for 2 kids, 1 teenager, 3 adults and have plenty of room. This visit we had a girls getaway trip of 5. This unit always has clean & very comfy beds, extra beach and bath towels. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need for cooking. We love the large patio (and binoculars to borrow) Oh and the SPARKLING pools and hot tub were too much fun as if we didn’t have enough fun down at the beach! Always a great relaxing visit.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

This was our first time to stay in this condo and it won't be our last! The condo was clean and had all the things we needed for our stay. It felt like home away from home. We really enjoyed the balcony and our view of the ocean. The west end of the seawall is not as hectic and it just seems to be more relaxing. The owners Mari and Les are very nice and welcoming. We hope to return soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, adventure seekers.

Our family has stayed at this condo several times over the past few years, and we will continue to go back. It is comfortable, tastefully furnished, and in a fantastic location. Our favorite thing to do is to wake up early for a walk on the seawall, and then have coffee on the balcony overlooking the Gulf. This is truly a place to relax and forget about the stress of everyday life. The owners are fantastic and easy to work with, and they really keep the place nice and clean and inviting. I just can't say enough good things about this property. We're looking forward to spending some time there this summer!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, sightseeing, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, adventure seekers.

About the owner: We live near The Woodlands, Tx, just north of Houston and get 'down island' as often as possible. We love the beach. We own A-1 Bail Bonds and A-1 Investigations in Conroe, Montgomery County, Texas, so, if you ever need a bail bond or a private investigator...;-)

We have enjoyed Galveston all of our lives and have traveled quite a bit around this world of ours but love to return to our Galveston Island home away from home.

The tropical grounds and THREE pools are certainly a highlight of our Galveston condo but, to us, the best feature is the balcony. Million dollar views are hard to beat.
