  Top three features of this condo are location, furnishings, and cleanliness. But it doesn't stop there! Add on great communications with owner, and friendly, helpful staff and neighbors, and you'll begin to get a sense of the reasons for the highest rating. Location just cannot be beat. One-half block to a great, wide beach with bars, chairs and umbrellas, and good water for playing. Across the street and for several blocks in both directions, lots of good affordable restaurants and casual bars, a 24-hour Walgreens with just about everything you need including small grocery store and liquor. Bus to OSJ within 1 block. Taxis in front of the building. Great security. Enjoyed mornings and evenings on Veranda that feels more private than it looks. Well stocked--Edward has thought of everything. Good linens, comfortable furnishings. The building fronts Ashford Avenue which can get noisy, but the condo faces a side street, buffering the traffic noise. Rental cars, if you need them, are within a couple blocks at The Marriott. We so enjoyed the energy and access to everything we needed right there. The only reason you will need a car is to explore the rest of Puerto Rico if you want. And there's even a private garage and dedicated space for your car under the building. We travelled with another couple, and thewy enjoyed the stay as much as we did. Two baths are hard to come by at this price, so we felt privileged with so much privacy. I can't say enough about the unintrusive friendliness of the owner's sister who lives next door or his friend Ita who added to our sense of welcome here. You will not regret a decision to stay here. In fact, I think you will be thrilled with your choice.

  First off, Edward was a very professional person to deal with. He answered all our questions, was extremely friendly and helpful in working out the details. The booking was easy and we were very happy to work with such a friendly person. As for our stay, there were four of us total-2 couples in their 30's. We were looking for a relaxing and fun vacation. The only benefit of this condo is it's location. Close to dinner, shopping, & casinos. Everything is in walking distance. You are right in the middle of town. Lots of stuff to do and see! The condo itself is on the 8th floor so you get a great view of surrounding run down buildings. It has all the basic ammenities you will need including bath and beach towels, beach bags, bedding, etc. The rest of the review is just our personal opinion but we will put it out there and perhaps it will give you more information. Again, it does not reflect the owner whatsoever as previously stated. -The building itself is very run-down. -The parking garage is scary-exposed wires, leaking pipes, rusty foundation showing, water puddles on the ground. -The elevators are old, slow and scary. There was a grocery shopping cart inside one of them upon our arrival. Not the best first impression. Our advice would be to update this so that visitors aren't turned off before even walking in the door. A fresh coat of paint, perhaps. -You have one of 4 keyed gates on the entrance door to the condo-one would think this is a fire hazard so we left it unlocked and locked the main door. -The inside of the condo could use some updating as far as decorating goes as the wall hangings are just kind of thrown together. Needs a new coat of paint as well. -The AC unit in the 2nd bedroom is very, very loud. -No TV in the main room (just for the guys to watch a game while the women were getting ready). -At all hours of the night you can hear car alarms going off and general noise from the street. Since bars really don't close, you get to hear all kinds of activities while trying to sleep. -There was maintenance being performed which affected all the plumbing and we were not notified in advance-we couldn't flush toilets properly for 2 days! (We'd love a percentage of our money back because of this) -The buildings surrounding the beach are complete eyesores! We decided to check into a resort 15 minutes away because of all this. Again, not necessarily the owners fault but as seasoned travelers, we were expecting nicer.

  We were really sorry that we stayed here only for 4 days...the location is unbeatable, just steps from beautiful Condado beach, eateries and shops all around and everything in walking distance! The apartment is in very good condition, just like in the pictures, well equipped and it was very clean. For the A/C, we did not use it much, it was kind of noisy, but we did not really need it either. Kitchen was in good condition, even stocked with some drinks and fresh fruit when we arrived, which was very nice. It was the perfect spot for two couples sharing, and we enjoyed also the views from the veranda, lovely really. You can easily reach OSJ by bus - if you are patient enough to wait until it comes...schedules are for information purpose only I think. But then you go for 75c , which is a bargain. We also found a small beach down Ashford Avenue,just in front of the bridge to OSJ, where we could do some snorkelling. If you don´t exspect too much it is nice to spend some time there. We saw some interesting fish, but the corals are dead . Still fine , and the beach was quiet and clean. Other than that, I can only say that from the first email all contacts with the owner and as well later with Ita who met us upon arrival were very pleasant, I could not really think of something that should have been better. If we ever come back to Puerto Rico, we will surely try to spend more time here!

  After a long delay at the airport, a few wrong turns, we were eventually able to locate the condo. Next we had to figure out where to park...The gate opens onto Vendig street and the opener is in the condo. Once you know how to get in there, the indoor parking is a great thing to have. Once you got that figured out, its smooth sailing. We were greeted by a helpful and friendly neighbor who went out of her way to be accommodating. Rooms were comfortable and bedrooms are air conditioned. The fan blowing in the living room helped a little, but we were comfy enough in the bedrooms. Kitchen is well stocked and easy to use. You'll also find just about everything you need already in the closets, from towels to sunscreen, hairspray to baby powder. We were impressed with the location as it is a very short walk to the beach, to Walgreens, to restaurants, bus stop, taxi stand, etc. This place is right in the middle of Condado. All in all, couldn't ask for much of a better place to stay. Thanks again.

  As part of a group of five, I was in charge of booking for an apartment for our stay in Puerto. I didn’t know what to expect as I have had good and bad experiences of holiday Rental. From the very onset Edward (the Owner) was extremely helpful; answering every question I had and was always available to answer queries. The moment I walked into to the apartment I knew I had made the right decision, the pictures don’t do it enough justice in my opinion. It was well decorated; we felt at home right away, extremely spacious for 5 guys, it had everything you could possibility need and more, the fridge was stocked so we didn’t feel the need to rush to the supermarket for anything right away. We had beach towels galore and many other things The location for us was pure perfection, everything was a walking distance away, the beach was a block away and you can hear the ocean from the apartment, the pictures don’t reflect that you can see the beach from the balcony, what an amazing view it was, I had breakfast numerous times looking at the beach. The area and complex was extremely safe and secure, and we had indoor parking. This by far is the best holiday rental experience I have had, and it was the platform for a fantastic vacation for me and the guys. The friendliness and helpfulness of our neighbour Etta was the icing on the cake and those personal touches really count. I have nothing but positive things to say about our stay and would recommend this apartment to any of my friends and family in a flash, I would definitely return if ever am on vacation in PR. Edward thank you for letting us keep our stuff on the weekend we were in Guadeloupe for free. Please also extend my many thanks to Julie and Etta for all their help, jokes and conversation it was greatly appreciated.   I located this property at 5am in desperation. We arrived in Puerto Rico on July 25 and we stay with my mother in her house, we expected to stay there until july 29 and then move on to our summer rental house in Aguadilla. I never expected to be so uncomfortable. The day after we arrived in my mom's at 5am I decided to check homeaway.com. I called several properties including this one. Edward Akers was the first to respond to my yell for help. He left a message to call Julie. Once I called her the deal was on for that night, they saved the first leg of our vacation. Now the condo, it was a beautiful 2 bedroom/2 baths penthouse apartment with several great views of the beach. It was very well stocked with everything you need for our stay, it even had beach umbrellas, towels and totes. My daughter and her sons were amazed. It is just a short half block to the beach, and one block from 2 casinos, La Concha, and the Marriott. We had a very helpful and wonderful neighbor named Ita who greeted us and showed us around and led us to our secured indoor parking spot. Edward I would like to thank you soo much for being ther for my family and I when we needed help. You made the process so easy and quick that we were able to finish the transition within hours. I called you at 8 pm and the keys were ready by 12 noon. I will be calling you for future stays. Eladio, Iris & Elaine Diaz and Gavin & Pierce Perez-Chin.

  Our first experience using VBRO was fantastic! The condo was just as represented in the pictures and was at a great location; a few blocks from the hotel that our friends were staying at and less than half a block from the beach. All of the keys to get inside took a day to get used to but after that, it was a breeze. Everyone in the building is super friendly and helpful. We can't wait to come back!!

  We were a little skeptical before going because this was our first experience with a vacation rental. The owner was very very helpful in answering all our queries and concerns and the rental itself was safe, secure, very well maintained and the pictures do not do it enough justice. It also has indoor parking. The owner has taken pains to decorate it, provided all essential amenities making it a very cozy place to spend time with your loved ones. (which also means you dont have to run to the Walgreens for soap, toilet rolls, paper towels and other essentials bcos it's all taken care of). Big pluses: It's a 30 second walk to the beach and at the same time, all the great restaurants are within a 1 km radius. That way, you dont have to worry about parking at all - which can be pretty painful during peak hours. We loved it so much that we were already making plans to come back again. Sitting on the patio and watching and hearing the waves were other advantages.. And the beach and water is super clean! All in all - a great experience! Will definitely recommend to friends and family (have already started the recommendations :)). Great Puerto Rican restaurant right accross the condo - Orozco's. The food here is amazing! Thank you! We loved it!

  This is my second time at this property, and I look forward to my next trip! The unit is ideally located in Condado. It's close to the beach, restaurants, Walgreens (for those that need a dose of aloe after visiting the beach), bus stop, taxis, and post office. The unit is in a quiet building outfitted with everything you need for your stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. My favorite part of the unit was sitting on the patio, looking out over the ocean, sipping a cup of coffee while watching the ships go in and out of San Juan.

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

  When I entered this apartment, I was stunned by how nice it was kept. I guess I had pretty low expectations when renting an apartment as opposed to hotels... but wow was I wrong! I rented this and another nearby apartment for my groomsmen, since hotels weren't giving us group rates. Honestly, from now on I'd skip hotels and go straight to apartment rentals! One of my friends was very concerned about her security when visiting Puerto Rico (which is a common misconception among many visitors in my opinion), however, with the amount of keys required to enter this building, this should not be a concern at all! You need a key just to get into the elevator, let alone pass through every other door in the building. The location was perfect! You can see the beach right outside your doorstep, from the balcony, along with a beautiful view of Condado. The property comes fully equipped with everything you could possibly need, the owners are very kind, and check in was quick and easy. I have nothing but positive reviews for this place, and I highly recommend staying here!

  Good value for the price. Good location -- 1/2 block from the beach; surf/ocean views from windows and outside hallway balcony; Walgreens (24 hr) across the street; lots of restaurants in walking distance; lots of night activity on the streets. Convertible bed is a double-size air mattress, which fit nicely in master bedroom, so that's where the kids slept. Condo was clean and had everything we needed. Air conditioning units in the bedrooms, not in living room (but didn't need it anyway). All rooms had ceiling fans. TVs in both bedrooms, not in living room (but didn't miss it anyway). Owner was extremely helpful in answering our questions in phone conversations before we reserved the unit.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.

  We thoroughly enjoyed the space and amenities. The owner has contracted excellent help in Puerto Rico and they were attentive to the necessary repairs needed during our stay (Air Conditioner wore out) All was well when those repairs were completed. The proximity to the beach and the bus lines is wonderful. Condado has some wonderful restaurants, so you don't need to travel to old San Juan to get a great meal. If our travels take us back to San Juan, we'll definitely see if your units are available again. This is a great unit for couples traveling together, singles, and/or the 55+ crowd.
