Tarpon Beach condo description
What more could you ask for – Sanibel Island and a two bedroom, two bath condo directly facing the Gulf of Mexico!
Tarpon Beach is an exclusive, low-rise (three story) complex consisting of only thirty units, with a heated pool as large as those typically found in complexes of 100 plus units, a private and well maintained tennis court, and an amazing beach, which is accessed directly by a walkway from the beach side pool. The beautiful but private entrance to the property is graced by manicured tropical plantings and impressive driveway pavers (no overheated blacktop here!).
Our condo is on the first floor living level, approached by the nearby stairs or elevator. Being a corner unit, the living room and dining area walls are highlighted by large windows, allowing ample light and cross ventilation from the refreshing Gulf breeze. The corner setting also enhances the large screened lanai, which is entered from both the living room and the master bedroom. The dining area seats six comfortably and the kitchen is well equipped. New cookware and dinner ware were recently added, as well as new, small appliances (coffee maker, toaster, blender, etc.).
The condo received extensive remodeling in 2011. All the windows and sliding glass doors were replaced with hurricane/impact resistant glass and frames; the kitchen was updated with new cabinets, granite counter tops, built in microwave, new stainless sink and faucet, and a new refrigerator with ice maker; the master bath received a new tiled walk-in shower, new tiled floor, brushed nickel fixtures, and new lighting; and, the guest bath was updated with a new wood vanity, granite counter top, and new sink and faucets.
For entertainment there is a 42 inch wall-mounted TV, VCR and DVD player in the living room, a 32 inch TV and DVD player in the master bedroom (in the armoire), and a 26' wall-mounted TV in the guest bedroom(all new flat panel TVs). Free wireless and wired internet access is also provided. The pool is nearby, but far enough so that your peace is not disturbed by pool noise.
Our guests also have use of the ground level storage room (lockable), and the beach chairs and umbrellas kept there. The storage room is right next to the numbered, under cover parking space for the condo.
There is no place else in Florida like Sanibel Island – natural, pristine, quiet, beautiful beaches, no traffic lights and neon signs, but more than enough to do, with ample shopping, restaurants, and exploring. Once you go there you’re sure to return, time and time again.

Recently stayed a week at this condo and found it to be just as advertised: updated, well maintained and well equiped to meet our every vacationing need! The beds were comfy, the kitchen and living areas spacious with a beautiful view of the gulf. We enjoyed meals, conversations and quiet time on the lanai when we weren't on the beach. The owner provided bicycles (thank you!), beach chairs, umbrellas and beach towels and also emailed after our arrival to be sure all was as we would wish. Will stay at this unit again in the future.

We enjoy the beautiful condo with the gorgeous view of the gulf. The bedrooms were comfortable. Condo clean and nicely decorated. My 18 month granddaughter loved playing on the lanai. The pool was clean and not crowded. We would definetly return. The owner was easy to work with and always responded quickly. Thank you for sharing your lovely condo with us!

Condo's in Sanibel rent Sat. to Sat. so I was very grateful we got to rent the place until Sunday. Our friend's had a nicer condo 2 buildings down and paid double what we paid. I was very satisfied with the condo relative to the cost and it included 2 bikes. The owner bought us a fishing pole to use when I inquired about fishing poles. Nice touch. The view of the ocean was great and being a side unit, total privacy. The pool was heated and clean and hardly anyone used it. We enjoyed swimming in it at night. The shelling in front of this condo is fabulous at low tide. I loved the location because we could ride our bikes to get to the shops. It was a quick ride to the recreation center (great place to work out, swim, tennis). Also close to my favorite restaurants. I've been vacationing on Sanibel annually since 1985. I have stayed mostly in houses, but I loved the convenience of this condo. Check in and out was easy. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped. Washer/drier worked. My husband took advantage of the free newspaper at the management office everyday. There are no grills allowed on the property. We grilled at our friend's condo, but it would have annoyed me if we didn't have that. I did see a couple people grilling illegally, but who wants to live in fear of getting caught grilling. I love Sanibel Island and I love the location of this condo.

We have stayed in this condo for the past two winters for six and then seven weeks and plan to return next February. The unit has many updates and is very comfortable for us. We share different weeks of our stay with friends and family. The beds are comfortable ( very important when you are there for six weeks). We do cook many meals to "eat in" and have found the kitchen to be well equipped for that. The location is great. We love the private feeling of the first floor corner unit. This condo has a great view of the gulf not of other buildings We also like the easy access to the bike and walking trail. I have checked out several rentals on VRBO for many locations and have found this owner to be easy to correspond with and very responsive to all inquiries. Even though we have never met, I feel like I am working with a friend.
