We had been in the house for only 10 minutes when the owner called to make sure that everything was up to our expectations. Of course, it was and we kicked off a fabulous week at this wonderful home. The house was perfectly suited for our "kids" and their kids to enjoy all of the amenities that were included, especially the pool, games and the island itself. The furnishings and decorations were exquisite and the linens better than a 5 star hotel. This home was equipped with every imaginable houshold item you might need during your stay. Truly, the only thing you need to bring is your swim suit, your favorite beverage and groceries. Everything else is already here. The owner even took the extra step and checked with us during the week just to make sure that everything was in order. Living in the lap of luxury on an island paradise with your family for a week is the ultimate vacation. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

We have been renting homes on the Vanderhorst Plantation for the past 5 years and this has been our favorite house on the island. The layout of the house and the beautiful and comfortable furnishings made this a great vacation home for our family. Our two children loved the pool with basketball goal and we loved the nice shaded areas and the great screened porch overlooking the pool. The kitchen was also very well equipped for us to cook great dinners every night. Sally also showed us a beautiful, easy bike path to get to the beach. We would definately rent this house again for future vacations. We are even considering 2 weeks next year!

A vacation home in Vanderhorst Plantation at Kiawah Island is an exceptional experience! To have a home away from home with all the amenities you want makes life easy, pleasant and enjoyable and is all that you can ask for. This home is spotless and well designed. It was even more interesting to learn from the owner that she had designed and made the beautiful window treatments and bedding!!! The owner couldn't have been more solicitous about our comfort. We have been to Kiawah for about 20 years and by far this was the best house we have stayed in. We go to rest and relax, but golf, beach and places to dine are all easily accessible on the island. Selfishly, we do not want to recommend this house because we don't want to share it with anyone else! We will be back.

We had been to 44 Trumpet in 2006 and 2007. We had to take a detour to Disney this year...but are looking forward to returning to paradise in 2009!! Being second place to Mickey Mouse is not all that bad. Great place.

We stayed at 44 Trumpet Creeper for a week in August 2007. It was an amazing place to celebrate my parents 40th wedding anniversary. My family has been coming to Kiawah for 28 years. We've rented villas and homes in every part of the island and this was the best one ever! Sally was a pleasure to work with and we will definately come back.

We have participated in the Kiawah Cup for several years and rented many houses. 44 Trumpet Creeper is by far the best ever! Sally has done a wonderful job of creating a very homey atmosphere. The house has a great floor plan and beautifully decorated. Needless to say, we had a great stay. Thank you Sally!

We have stayed in other homes on Kiawah and this has been our favorite. The home was immaculate with beautiful decor, and the layout was perfect for multiple families. The courtyard was a wonderful place to sit outside and relax, and the kids enjoyed the heated pool. I was impressed with all the little extras including laundry detergent and everything you would need for cooking and storing leftovers. We will definately try to book this home again.

We stayed at 44 Trumpet Creeper Nov. 5th - 12th. It had been 10 years or more since we visited Kiawah. My how it has changed - for the better. The Robinson house is a unique design. It is perfect for family gatherings. The decor is very upscale. Not your typical rental by any means. The house is well equipped with everything from tissues to cooking utensils. We had a fabulous weather and a fabous time.

This was our first trip to Kiawah Island. Our vacation was fabulous from the weather, location and accomodations. Sally is a real pleasure to work with throughout the entire rental process. We have rented 3 other homes along the S.C. beach over the last 4 years; this was the best house! Sally has spent a considerable amount of time thinking of EVERYTHING for this home. A nice touch is the welcoming phone call to ensure everything meets our needs. Lastly, I would highly recommend Chez Fish.

This is one of the most fabulous homes I have ever stayed in on a vacation, or anywhere else for that matter. To begin with, Sally Robinson is a pleasure to work with and pays attention to every detail. It only gets better from there once you arrive in the splendor of the beautiful home she has created. The beauty is incredible. The finishes are fabulous, the home is spectacular and clean. The layout is perfect for two families, with a lovely abode for children to "get away" from it while still under the watchful eye of parents with the cabana/main house configuration. The home has every single amenity imaginable. The pool is fabulous and the location can not be beat. I must elaborate on how goergeous the finishes and fabrics are in this house. From window treatments to duvet covers to throw pillows to the sheets and toweling to the comfort of the beds.... It is better than a 5 star hotel. My only concern in sharing these comments is that it will make it harder for us to rent it in the future because this place will fill up with return vacationers in no time. Sincerely, Frank Carey and Mary Mannix Carey

44 Trumpet Creeper is a wonderful place to vacation with family and friends. The decor is warm and welcoming, making you feel at home. It is an extremely relaxing home with a layout that allows you to gather as a group or retreat to your own space for a little privacy. The kitchen is superb for those that enjoy gathering the family together to prepare great meals. We especially enjoyed the pool after warm days on the beach, playing golf and tennis and shopping in Charleston. If you're into sailing we highly suggest a sunset sail with Captain Jack. If you're lucky you'll get to sail with the dolphins. Pack your cooler with your favorite beverages and he'll do the rest. We enjoyed delicious meals at Chez Fish. We journeyed to Charleston to have drinks on the roof top and a wonderful dinner at High Cotton. It was truly a vacation to remember!

Our stay at 44 Trumpet Creeper was absolutely wonderful. The owner exhibited exceptional attention to detail from the initial booking all the way through to our departure. It was a pleasure to work with her. We enjoyed many of the activities on Kiawah Island as well as in Charleston. Five Star rating on the accommodations. A real gem. Thank you for making our vacation truly memorable.

We are four couples who have been travelling to the Carolinas for 12 years in the spring. This house is perfect for us. Sally is a pleasure to communicate with and house more than lived up to our sizeable expectations. The small touches made every minute very special. We look forward to coming back again and again.

Sally, We had a marvelous time in Kiawah. There are so many activities for families to share in. We loved the bike trails, tennis, fishing (we chartered a boat for the day and fished out of a pond on another), and my younger children loved your pool. My 15 year old was in heaven in the cabana. I loved your well stocked gourmet kitchen... the Caphalon pots and pans were a treat to cook with. The home is quite impressive. The house wasn't lacking anything, except for a cheese grater and lemon juicer! We had many laughs over this throughout the week, as everything else we could possibly need or want in a home was provided. We would love to return. We are thinking about a trip over the Christmas break this year. Best regards, The Graham's

We have visited Kiawah for about ten years, staying in various accomodations around the Island. This visit was positively the best yet and the house was a big part of the enjoyment. Everything was perfect, better than advertised! You just have to show up and enjoy because Sally has thought of everything. We've never worked with a nicer hostess. Thanks so much and we will return...soon I hope.

We have stayed on Kiawah for years and never have we stayed in such a beautiful home. The layout of the house was ideal for our three families, two of which had children under the age of four. The pool was wonderful for the grandchildren and the beach was a short bike ride. Sally's house is heaven on earth!

I insist on at least one week on Kiawah every year. It is the most magical place I have found in all of my travels. The home at 44 Trumpet Creeper rivals my love of this place. It is luxury, comfort, warmth and high style. Everything needed is present, from soft fluffy towels, to a well stocked kitchen and the most incredibly comfortable beds. The very private pool is just the right size for cooling off and for fun. The screened in porch is great for games and reading, day or night. The owners are wonderful and easy to work with. This is the best rental on Kiawah.

We have been visiting Kiawah for many years, and this is by far our favorite rental property. We spent two fabulous weeks in this house and enjoyed every minute of it. It is the most well maintained and best equipped home that we have stayed in. It is beautifully decorated and is very warm and inviting. We used the pool every day. This very spacious, well furnished home has great beds and fresh high quality linens. We recommend this home for a lovely vacation. We will be renting this home again!

We spent our family vacation in Kiawah this summer. What a wonderful surprise to walk into such a beautiful home. I knew it was only a year old but I didn't know that it was going to be so exquisitly decorated and comfortable. The owner has thought of every detail that you need to enjoy your time here. One week wasn't enough, think about staying two, that's what I'll be doing on my next trip to Kiawah! Be prepared for some excellent night's of sleep, the bedrooms are extremely comfortable and quiet, the beds more comfortable than home. I hope to return in the future.

Our family felt more than blessed to vacation in this lovely home. It was truly like living in a house of enchantment for a week. We have been coming to Kiawah since 1977 and we always enjoy the beauty of the island. The beauty of this home made it even more special. The pool became a favorite for our grandsons. Everything was clean and fresh and the decorations were like something out of House Beautiful. The bathrooms were just perfect!! I cannot put into words--truly, I can't, how wonderful the owner, Sally Robinson, was to our family. We felt comfort in the home and comfortable with the owner----it was indeed one of the best memories for our family ever----family included my husband and two adult children with spouses and their children----plenty of room for all 9. We have already recommended this home to friends!!!

Our week at 44 Trumpet Creeper was absolutely amazing! We have probably stayed at twenty different properties on Kiawah, and this house is by far the nicest one, and it is the first one that we want to return to. When we finally move to Kiawah, we hope that our home can be near as perfect as this one is. Everything was perfect. The house was beautiful and wonderfully decorated. The heated pool was extremely nice, especially when the weather didn't always fully cooperate. Sally was also great to work with, and she helped us with any problems that we had. Today, we were actually on this website checking the dates of our next vacation on her availability calender. Obviously, we would highly recommend this vacation property, and we can’t wait to return!

We loved this home! It is gorgeous and designed well for a multi-family vacation. The rooms were huge and decorated beautifully (and the beds were sooooo comfortable). The children loved the pool and us adults enjoyed everything about our week. Even Hurricane Ivan knew how much we needed our vacation this year because he left us alone! Sally - you were a joy to work with while setting up our vacation week. Your emails and phone calls were so enjoyable and you got back to us right away with answers to our many questions. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We would love to be your guests again!

My family met my brother's family and our parents at this exquisite home the last week of July. It is a gorgeous home! All of the rooms are huge and comfortable. We had nine people there and had plenty of room to be comfortable and enjoy each other's company (we played a mean game of 500 rummy at the kitchen table with 8 of us and had plenty of room without the extension)! The home is decorated to the ultimate degree and you truly feel at home there. The beds were more comfortable than ours at home! It is so obvious that a lot of time and attention were put into the planning of this home as it is absolutely perfect. We would have loved to just pick it up and take it home with us! The floor plan of the main house is the best I've seen! The pool area is very nice and the kids loved that. The cabana house was detailed just as nicely as the main house! We truly enjoyed our time here and look forward to hopefully returning! As you can see we highly recommend this place!

This has been our favorite house so far at Kiawah! We loved the layout of the house, the ineterior decorating and the swimming pool. It is about a 5 minute fun bike ride to the beach, we saw a couple of aliigators on the bridge. The neighbors are friendly and helpful too!! We loved everything about this house, you will too!
