  We spent 3 nights in this awesome cabin. It's on the lake with a private dock. It was perfect. Everything exceeded my expectations. It was immaculate and very well maintained. My boys and I had a truly wonderful time there. The owners Sol and Kim have thought of absolutely everything to make this place relaxing and comfortable. Can't wait until we can get up there again.   My Friends and I decided to make a trip to the mountains and they have recommended this place. The owners made sure that this is not just a rental but a home. From the welcome chocolate cookies to the classic Goonies DVD. Everything that we need and keeping adults and young at heart to be entertained. We cooked, played pool, bbq, and just relaxing to the magnificent view from the deck it was awesome. I can't ask for more.....I guess more days to stay :-). Thank you so much for making our little vacation a memorable one.

  Thank you very, very much Sol & Kim for your hospitality! Our family had a wonderful, memorable vacation at your home! You were very accommodating by arranging to have the crib up and ready for the baby. Your home is rustic and warm; it is obvious how much this cabin is loved. We had fun playing board games each night, pool, and watching movies. Your suggestions for sledding in the neighborhood were great and your backyard was perfect for building several snowmen :) We can't stop talking about the wonderful time we had and we hope to try to make it back up this summer or at least again next winter! Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

  This trip began with searching high and low for days for a reasonably priced Big Bear home that could meet the needs of our group (3 adult couples and 3 kiddos). Sol & Kim's home was PERFECT for what we needed, and had all of the amenities that we had hoped for. The hot tub was amenity #1 on our list, and theirs could not have been better! The home was warm and cozy, there were a ton of games/movies/activities to keep our kids busy, they set up a crib for my 11 month old which was SO helpful, and the location of their home was absolutely perfect! The yummy cookies upon arrival weren't a bad touch either ;) and the fact that we could contact them so easily if ever we needed to sealed the deal. We loved staying at Sol & Kim's place and plan to book it again soon!

  We took a family trip up this cabin for my spouses 30th birthday. She wanted a relaxing and quiet getaway for a weekend. This cabin was exactly that. It is in a very quiet, clean and beautiful neighborhood. The four descriptive words I used in the title are just the beginning. The cabin is a lot larger then I imagined. The entry level (top level) has a fully stocked kitchen, a family room with comfy couches and a great TV. Lots of DVD's to choose from, we watched Grumpy Old Men (hilarious) and since it was Ground Hogs day we got to catch the AMC Ground Hogs day movie marathon (Woo hoo!). The bottom level has a huge game room with a nice pool table and Foosball table. The bedrooms were comfy and the sheets were warm. The view of the lake from this cabin is second to none. This cabin is located in its own little cove with 4-5 other cabins. It was the perfect spot to get up early and drink some coffee while enjoying the view. The nearby restaurants were good. We had Mexican food one night at Nuevo Vallarta Grill. It was great, reminded us of Super Mex / Don Jose's for those of you coming from Orange County. The local supermarket (Vons) isn't to far, about a 5-10 min drive along Big Bear blvd. If you are looking to hike Castle Rock Trail this cabin is only about 1 mile away from the starting point. We will definitely be coming back to rent this cabin for that very reason.

  Let me start of by stating that my family and I have rented cabins in this area in the past, and this was by far the best cabin we have ever stayed at. And the owners, Sol & Kim were just as amazing. They bend over backwards to make sure their guests are comfortable, and the fresh baked cookies and personal note to our family was an awesome touch. The pictures do not do this property justice, it is very well maintained, has amazing views and the location is perfect. Very quiet neighborhood and only a few minute drive into the village. We had our very own gated sledding hill in the back which the kids loved, and when it got too cold to play outside there was plenty to do inside, our personal favorite was staying downstairs and playing pool and darts. We did not have a chance to use the hot tub (it was -4 degrees outside), but it looked very well kept also. This was by far our families favorite vacation and we can't wait to come back in the summer and use the private dock and fish on the lake. Thank you again Sol & Kim for making such a memorable experience for us!

  Our family had a great time staying in this cabin. This cabin and its owners (Sol and Kim) were amazing. I feel so lucky to have found this place. Sol and Kim were very kind and accommodating…I have rented multiple places through VBRO and I can tell you, hands down, these are the BEST owners I have dealt with…they want to be sure your stay is the best, and I thought customer service had gone by the wayside. They even had cookies for us upon arrival! The kids loved the pool table and foosball table (downstairs), while the adults relaxed by the fire place upstairs. I was blown away by the view of the lake from the back deck. There is an excellent sledding area close by, a dock outback for the little ones to “fish” and a beautiful neighborhood for a brisk walk. The hot tub was the perfect way to end the day. The cabin provided plenty of space for our family of 10 (5 adults and 5 kids- 3 of them teenagers) to spread out and have some space. And one more time the owners were awesome to deal with, excellent communication. We absolutely loved our vacation and stay! We hope to return soon.

  It's great to ski and snowboard up in Big Bear Country, you see the mountain all day but coming back to a cabin on the lake and experiencing sunset and sunrise is sublime. This view is wonderful. The owners were the best, helpful in every way. The cabin had more to do than you can fit in after playing outdoors. It's truly a home a way from home. I can't wait to go back in the summer. Take your personal sherpa to the Himalayan Restaurant and enjoy great, and inexpensive curries!

  This review is long overdue, but very much deserved! Sol and Kim are such a delightful couple to work with. We stayed at their home on the weekend of 12/7-12/9. As soon as we stepped foot into their home, we felt very welcomed and comfortable. They even had yummy fresh home baked cookies ready for us with a welcome note! As you look around, you can tell Sol and Kim take much pride in their home and they pay attention to every detail. They also decorated for Christmas which kept us in a festive mood throughout the weekend. They had fresh linen and all their bedrooms and bathrooms were well maintained! Sol mentioned all I need are our toiletries and clothes, which was very true! Even though I only had the pleasure of speaking with them on the phone, I can tell they are genuine people. Sol bent over backwards to make sure we had a enjoyable and fulfilled weekend. He had already stored away the rowboat for winter, but since they were having such nice weather up there, he went ahead and pulled it back out again for our use. We were so thankful for that, we used the boat on Saturday and Sunday, it was plenty of fun. We also didn't want to miss a major sporting event on Saturday night, so I gave him a call and he did everything he can to make sure we didn't miss it! They were always easy to reach and very accommodating! This was my inlaws first time to Big Bear and they are already talking about returning next year! Thank you so much Sol and Kim for providing us with a unforgettable weekend!!

  You will not be disappointed with your stay at Sol and Kim's Cabin. This rental is even better than advertised and we will definitely be back. There is plenty of space for large families. The layout is really excellent, as two living/family rooms, each with their own TV and fireplace, as well as a separate game room, offer the opportunity for some privacy amidst a group setting. The location could not be more picturesque as the cabin is literally right on the lake, complete with its own private dock and no other homes obstructing the view--which might as well be a real-life postcard to be enjoyed from the living room, dining room, and lake-facing deck. The cabin sits on a very quiet street in a beautiful upscale neighborhood, perfect for walking. Excellent hiking is within walking distance just as promised and the property is a short drive to the Village. Sol and Kim provided attentive, prompt service. The property is fully equipped with everything one might possibly need. There is even a complimentary row boat you can use if you rent the cabin in the warmer months! We stayed near Christmas so Ill be writing another review this summer after we take the boat out to tour the lake. All in all, this is the best property I have found in Big Bear at a fantastic price. My family had an amazing, memorable time staying at the cabin and I'm confident yours will to.
