Watch the sunset over long-range mountain views from the two covered decks of this tri-level log cabin. After skiing all day at the nearby slopes, you can let the kids watch a DVD/VHS in the loft or the roomy downstairs family area, while you soak in the whirlpool tub in the master bathroom.
This cabin has 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms and is located on Ski Acres Drive at the top of Appalachian Ski Mountain in Blowing Rock, NC. It features two living areas, each with gas log fireplaces, and offers a TV on each floor with extended basic cable. WiFi/wireless internet is also available. The upstairs is bright and airy with vaulted ceilings and a majestic stone fireplace. Lower level offers a cozy den with an additional stone fireplace and nice views. Lots of seating on decks. Sleeps 12 with 3 queens, 1 double, 2 sets of bunk beds in loft.
Please Note: Steep paved drive; four-wheel drive recommended year-round! Snow removal is not available for the driveway or the property. Decks, stairs and other surfaces, as well as driveway, may become quite slippery. Guests should be physically fit and prepared to climb the driveway, and should able to transport luggage by pack or sled during inclement weather. Linen rental not available. Cleaning available for an additional charge. No pets. No smoking. Two-night minimum.

About the owner: Paula Huffman is a counselor at Northview International Baccalaureate World School in Statesville, NC, and a former college counselor. She is also a mother and a wife. In her spare time, she writes novels for young adults. She and her family enjoy sking, snowboarding, hiking and the outdoors. She hates photos of herself.

We chose this area because of its proximity to the ski slopes and the view. We love Blowing Rock. It has a wonderful mix of quaintness and charm, yet still offers accessibility to modern amenities and entertainment options.
