Imagine watching spectacular sunsets from the front screened porch or listening to the beautiful songs of the loons on the lake while roasting marshmallows over a crackling water side fireplace. Take a deep breath, relax, and prepare to get away from it all in this wonderful Cobbossee lakefront cabin.
This circa 1950's handcrafted log cabin has everything that you would expect in an authentic log cabin getaway. Close enough to services, restaurants, recreation, shopping, etc but far enough away to turn back the hands of time and submerge yourself in a tranquil setting and get away from it all.
The cabin features a beautiful fireplace in the main living area with wonderful views of the lake from the living/dining areas and cozy screened porch. Two loft bedrooms are above and are joined by a split log staircase and wooden log rail catwalk. The screened porch can also provide a great place for the kids to 'camp out' for the night. The property also features a private dock as well as a boat launch. There are boat, canoe, and kayak rentals nearby.

We want to thank the Duttons for a most wonderful escape at the cabin. It was beautiful on the lake and relaxing. We enjoyed walking downtown and on the rail trail. There was plenty of places to visit. Zoey really liked the dog event at the Gardiner Water Front. We were well taken care of by Steve on the few minor problems that happened. I would recommend the cabin to anyone for a nice get away.

We so enjoyed our stay here. The owners really did think of everything to make our stay great and comfortable. The dogs are still recovering from all the swimming they did all week. This is a wonderful place to have a little "out of town" time. Looking forward to going back next year!!!

Owner response: Thank you Wendy for the compliments. We are so happy that you enjoyed your stay and thank you for being our guests. We hope to host you again in the future. Thank you, from all of us in the Dutton Family.
This was exactly what we were looking for: relaxing, comfortable and cozy - an excellent location on a beautiful lake. The cabin is great, the owner is very helpful and seems to have thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable. In my mother-in-law's words, "I could live here." We definitely want to stay again.

We really enjoyed this adorable little cozy log cabin. It had everything you would need as the owners thought of everything to help make your vacation enjoyable. The fishing was fantastic as were the sunsets and the clean fresh air. We love to return to this cabin next year!

Owner response: Thank you so much! We are so happy that the cabin brought you as much enjoyment as we have experienced there over the decades since our Grandfather built it. He would be very excited to know that you had a great experience as that was his dream when he built it back in the 50's. From all of the Dutton family we hope that you return again for many years to come.
