Our condo is located at the prestigious Kona Coast Resort in Keauhou, Hawaii, one of the top rated condominium resorts on the Big Island. The Kona Coast Resort is a first class, five-star vacation paradise. The architecture of the buildings, with the white stucco exteriors and orange clay roofs, is reminiscent of a coastal Mediterranean village. The grounds are impeccably maintained and lushly landscaped. Please visit our website for our many photos of the resort, the architecture as well the landscaping.
Our condo is a well-maintained, spacious, air-conditioned, two bedroom, two bathroom ocean view "end" unit with over 1520 square foot of living space. Being an end unit, it has large screened windows lining the entire living room and dining room areas, which affords even more beautiful Hawaiian views.
In addition, it has a beautiful and expansive private lanai facing the ocean, providing views from the living room, dining room, kitchen and master bedroom. What can be better than waking up in the morning to a beautiful ocean view to start the day!
The condo has a fully equipped kitchen with top quality, modern appliances and everything you may need to cook and serve meals. Since we often stay in our condo, we have just about everything you may need to make your stay comfortable and memorable.
Our condo has easy access, with no stairs to climb; it is the same level as the parking lot. It is a secure 2nd floor unit with a private lanai, not accessible from the ground, affording privacy from other units.
It has a very quiet and efficient air conditioning system with separate remotes for each room's comfort. There is an additional fee for the air conditioning, which means if you don't need it, you don't pay for it.
The Resort is surrounded by the 36-hole Kona Country Club golf course. It is located near one of Hawaii's best snorkeling beaches, Kahalu'u Beach Park. Across the street is the Keauhou shopping center, where you'll find a supermarket, movie theater, specialty stores and several good restaurants. Keauhou Bay, a launch site for boat tours, including the popular Fairwinds snorkeling tour, is about half mile to the south.
The resort offers a wide range of full service recreational facilities, including an on-site activities desk (charter fishing, helicopter tours, snorkeling, scuba and sailing tours, just to name a few) as well as on-site activities (children's' activities, aerobics, painting classes, lei making classes). Two eighteen hole golf courses are located adjacent to the Resort.
Because of the wonderfully manicured grounds, condition of the facility, and all its amenities, the Kona Coast Resort is a top vacation spot in paradise.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful stay in this spacious and comfortable condo at the beautiful Kona Coast Resort. The condo was clean and nicely furnished and completely wheelchair accessable. The sunsets from the lanai were amazing! The grounds of the resort are well kept and the pools were great! They also provide many barbecue areas throughout the property. We enjoyed many different activities while on the Big Island and want to thank Joan for helping to make our trip to Hawaii an unforgettable experience!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful time at this property! It was perfect for our extended family of 7. It has a large kitchen and very large living/dining area with a fantastic lanai. There was room for all 7 of us to eat around the table on the lanai and watch the sunsets. It was very clean and was light and airy. We cooked almost all of our meals, and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed. We loved the location at the south end of Ali'i street. It was close to a grocery store and very close to a great snorkeling beach. We also used the provided boogie boards and beach mats at several beaches (I thought all the great beaches were supposed to be on Maui....we thought the beaches on Hawaii were much better for boogie boarding, swimming and snorkeling, as well as sunsets!) We also liked being so close to the small swimming pool and hot tub. It was so relaxing to sit and relax at the end of the day. We did a night snorkel/scuba dive to see the Manta Rays.....completely amazing (the guys did the scuba diving, while the rest of us snorkeled above them). Well worth it! We were nervous about booking with VRBO, but everything was so easy, and Joan was great to work with. Thank you for sharing your beautiful place with us!Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, people with disabilities, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

We stayed 4 days in this HUGE condo with a gorgeous lanai. Joan was lovely to work with and charges a very fair rate. The condo is stately, but aging(for instance the racks in the dishwasher and the fixtures in the bathrooms are rusting). All of it is easy to overlook given the location, amenities and spaciousness of this condo. A/C is available, but mostly unnecessary, there are many doors and windows to let in the tradewinds. Wireless internet is available in the resort, but takes a strong antenna to pick up the weak signal. The pools and spas are fabulous.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers.

We stayed in this wonderful condo for 3 weeks. It was open, light, spacious and very quiet with awesome sunsets. The location is perfect for snorkeling,horseback riding and shopping. The farmers market that is held on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday is a great place to stock up on fruit and veggies.Try the white pineapple if it's available. Yummy. There is also a nice restaurant on site, breakfast, lunch and dinner, with music on friday nights. The Kona Inn was our favorite dinner spot, great view and wonderful food on the casual side or more menu choices on the dinner side. We snorkeled with turtles and more fish than I have ever seen before at Hakalu'u Beach. Went horseback riding to Captain Cook's monument with King's trail rides- Bone's the owner and guide was great. We also did the island helicopter trip with Paradise Helicopters. They are the only company that can land during the trip. All in all it was a very memorable vacation. About the owner: This photo was taken in front of the pyramids in Egypt. We love to travel and Hawaii is one of our favorite places, which is why we bought our condo there.
Why the Owner Chose Kona Coast Resort:
We love Hawaii, to relax, to snorkel, to scuba dive, to relax, to watch beautiful sunsets, to relax. It can't be beat. Everyone speaks English and accepts American $$, but we feel we are on an exotic island.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
Our unit is an end unit so is very private and quiet. We are on the 2nd level so we can keep our sliding doors to the lanai open all the time and don't have to worry. Because it is an end unit, the MBR has access to the lanai as well. We have spectacular sunset views. Our unit is quite large, 1500 sq ft, so we have plenty of space and don't feel cramped, even with 4-6 of us staying there at one time. The location is very convenient, across the street from a shopping center and down the street from a great snorkeling beach. Everything is within walking distance.
We are also on the same level as the parking lot so there are no stairs to climb.
