Copper Queen house was everything we wanted in a rental-immediate access to the heart of town, lovely bedrooms, a sparkling clean kitchen with all the amenities and a truly historic home. The VRBO diecription and pictures were quite accurate. The heating system was easy to manage and kept the house at a consistent temperature. It was quiet, held plenty of room for 3 couples traveling together and had easy access to the town trolley. The mine tour was across the way and shops of all kinds lined the main street. We cooked in often, but ate out at Cafe Roka and Santiagos. Both were good and reasonably priced. (The only large supermarket is about 4 miles south, so pick up any provisions before coming. There are 2 small markets in town but they are not always open.) Parking areas are few, however if you can't find curbside parking there are several parking lots up the hill from the house. Bisbee is built on the sides of a canyon, so expect to do a great deal of walking. The house is one story and sits between 2 streets. Although it is about 20 steps up from one street., it is only 1 step down from the other street. Into the West jeep tours, based in Tombstone was a highlight of our trip. We drove the 30 minutes from Bisbee to Tombstone and met the tour there. Mark, who owns and operates the tour offers several options, from 11/2 hr. to 5 hr. tours. He is a font of information. We saw ghost towns, went on back roads and viewed old cemeteries, visited a rattlesnake craft shop and heard an incredible amount of history about the area. We recommend it highly. We would love to return to Bisbee again because it was such fun.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This is the perfect place to stay for exploring Bisbee. 4 bedroom immaculate house with Kitchen and all amenities you need for one night or one month. Park your car and never have to drive the entire time you are there. Had a great time at the Copper Queen House. My daughter was bummed there were no Ghosts, but for most folks that is a good thing.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My family of four stayed here in February and loved it - the front porch, especially! It's steps away from the main street and the Bisbee Coffee Company. We stayed two nights and appreciated the house's charm. Very pleasant owners, too!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

Fantastic place to stay in the heart of Bisbee. The owners make you feel at home, the four bedrooms are spotless and there is plenty of space to sit and relax after exploring the town. Jack and Espy, the owners, are very helpful and made our stay perfect. The house is comfortable, airy and bright with a porch to relax on and read about the town before you venture out. We took a trolley tour to learn the history of the place. The Mining museum, and the tour of the Copper mine is a must. Wonderful restaurants and galleries and shops to explore. The kitchen is small but most adequate for cooking breakfast or a meal. The innkeepers have thought of everything and we would go back in a heartbeat.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Four comfortable, tastefully decorated bedrooms with good linens made our stay very relaxing and enjoyable. Exceedingly clean. We walked to everything. The owners, are delightful and helpful. Great location and bright, airy home. Bisbee is a historic town with wonderful galleries and world class restaurants. The Mining museum, Copper mine tour, Bisbee trolley ride are all worth doing. The house is equipped with all the necessities. We will certainly return and introduce this home to our friends. The trolley ride gives you a good history lesson which helps in understanding and appreciating this town.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

Left on 07/30/2011 for a stay in July 2011 This was our second stay at this property. I have stayed at several other hotels along Main Street and there is no better place than the Copper Queen House. It has everything a family would need. The property is well maintained, it is secluded yet centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants, shops, entertainment. The large porch is great for relaxing and taking in the scenery. This property is a must stay for families and people who want something very special. The price is very reasonable especially when you realize that you are getting a four bedroom house with two bathrooms a full kitchen, a dining room, a living room, a large porch and outdoor grill. Cable TV is in almost every room and the wireless internet works great. The kitchen is fully stocked for those that wish to cook. All you need to do is bring your groceries or do some shopping before you get to Old Bisbee. The Copper Queen House is truly the best. The owners are very responsive and friendly. They treat you like an extended family. We plan to make the Copper Queen House part of our annual getaway. More Details ?Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Relax and Refresh in Bisbee Left on 08/23/2011 for a stay in July 2011 This was our second visit to the Copper Queen House. Jack and Espy are most hospitable, making us feel at home instantly. There were 8 of us in the group and we were very comfortable. The proximity to Cafe Roka and other shops is a plus. We were walking distance from everything. The night life was just as fun, with live bands at several nearby locations. We also enjoyed cooking out and the comforts of the porch, especially because it rained each afternoon and early one morning. We've made plans to return.Did you find this review helpful? We really enjoyed your vacation home. Much of our time was spent on the very comfortable front porch - bird-watching, people-watching, and just relaxing. I think it is well-priced. The owner was so helpful - the home is very clean and indoors is very well maintained. It is right across the street from the Copper Queen Hotel and next to the small shopping/gallery district. The Lavrender Jeep Tours is just across the small park. I strongly recommend this place.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
Owner response: To all future renters -We strive for the 5 star rating and though not a bad rating, this is only our second 4 star rating in 3 years of doing business! We even did an early check in and held the parking spot directly in front of the house for our guests' convenience. We are sorry that something possibly was not to their liking and we will continue to strive to make our guests happy!

I loved our stay at Copper Queen House! The house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. It was just like being at home, only more fun. The location couldn't have been better. You can walk across the street to the Bisbee Coffee House for excellent fresh coffee or to the Copper Queen Hotel for a great hamburger. You're only a couple of blocks away from the Bisbee Brewing Company, so you can walk over for a beer and not have to worry about getting back in the car and drive. The front porch is a great place to sit and watch people, drink coffee and look and listen to all the birds. The beds were comfortable especially the new foam mattress. What a great nights sleep after cruising around the countryside sightseeing. There were plenty of nice linens. The new washer and dryer were a treat for the laundry which always seems to pile up when you're traveling. Everything was just perfect! Jack and Espy were great hosts and very accomodating. They did everything one could expect to make our stay a memorable event. We had such a good time, I want to return soon.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

Perfect place for our trip The Copper Queen House was perfect for our trip. It was right in the middle of town and really cute. It was completely decorated for the Christmas season, little chocolate Santas even awaited us. Even though it was cold, we still ended up hanging out on the porch! It was also the perfect size for our group and very reasonably priced. We all got to stay together instead of doing several hotel rooms. Thank you!Did you find this review helpful? Feeling Groovy I feel so lucky I stumbled upon the online listing for this cozy and eclectic Bisbee home just in time for the Labor Day weekend. From the moment you enter the house you just feel a groovy kind of positive energy. The Jeffery's gave us a tour of the house and pointed out the different artwork and told us about the history of the home. (nice couple) The porch is surrounded by a garden of evergreens, vines and a huge Magnoila tree. It's a great spot to people watch from above or kick back and enjoy a cool one while relaxing on the couch outside. My hubby and I actually fell asleep out there! The location is the best ever; just steps away from restaurants and shops. I visit the area two to three times a year and have stayed in many of the local hotels. I have to say this is the best value I have found in Bisbee. This is where I'll be staying in the future.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Best value in town... This was our second stay at the Copper Queen House, and we weren't disappointed. We decided to pop down to Bisbee for the weekend to escape 100+ degree heat in Phoenix. Bisbee never got above 80 degrees the entire time we were there! Jack and Espy go out of their way to ensure you have a wonderful time. Anything you need - they've probably already provided - but if not, just call and they respond immediately. It's like living in a hotel - except you feel more like family than a hotel guest. We particularly enjoyed the porch during this stay - especially the afternoon that it rained - 75 degrees and rain - and I had a 2 hour "nap" on the comfortable couch on the Front Porch... ah, heaven!Did you find this review helpful? For history l... 5 of 5 History Lover May 7, 2010 The Copper Queen House in Histor... "For history lovers" After seeing the pictures of the house on the internet we decided to rent for a few days for some rest & relaxing time. It is right in the heart of Old Bisbee with shops and dining within a short walking distance. The historic Copper Queen Hotel is just across the driveway. Or just enjoy your own home cooked meal on the front porch where you can enjoy the birds who come to the many feeding stations in the trees along side of the front porch. Or if you like to people watch it's a good spot for that too. The house has all of the amenities and more that you could possibly need for your stay. It's very spacious and wonderfully decorated. The den area has a nice library of books and movies for viewing if you want. A walking tour is offered by a local gentleman found across the street in the Del Webb bldg and is a good way to learn about some of the history of the town. The Mining History Museum is just across the plaza from the house and is an excellent source of mining information. And if you are up to it try climbing some of the historic staircases which in some cases provide a panoramic view of the town. Poking around the antiques shops on Main St yielded some interesting treasures as well. There are also many other shops to see. We enjoyed our stay thanks to the comfortable surroundings of the Copper Queen House which is an historical building with it's own history. The Jeffreys are very gracious hosts and have thought of everything to make your stay in Bisbee memorable.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

"Our new family vacation home in Bisbee" Booking the house was easy, Jack was easy to communicate with and very amenable to our needs. Jack and Esperanza met us at the house when we checked in and answered all of our questions. The house is very inviting and comfortable, and set up for cooking meals if you so desire. The location is the best, right in the heart of Bisbee. "LOVED Bisbee! LOVED The Copper Queen House!" We stayed at The Copper Queen House for four nights as a spring break get-away. We had never been to Bisbee and absolutely loved it. The house was right in the center of Old Bisbee, and yet, private with the gate and plants around it. We sat on the porch and watched the activity around town. The house was perfect for 5 of us (three adults, two elementary school aged kids). We had plenty of room. The house is adorable. We were still looking at the interesting art work all through out the house on the third day there (some pieces we had previously missed!) The house is clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The owner, Jack, stopped by to meet and check on us. There are many things to do in the area: Katchner Cavern, Tombstone, the Queen Mine Tour, the Mining Museum, Sonoita/Elgin wineries, and of course, just wander around Bisbee. We wished we could have stayed another day or two! We are looking forward to a return visit soon.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Weekend in Bi... 5 of 5 Weekend in... Apr 30, 2010 The Copper Queen House in Histor... "Weekend in Bisbee!!" We had a very wonderful weekend in Bisbee, the house is wonderful and that porch is worth a million, we all lived on the porch. The house is as neat as you can get, accomdations are better than advertised. Beds are great, we all had our rooms as was described. If you want a non hotel experience without the price of a bed and breakfast I highly recommend the Copper Queen House, it is so close to eating establishments and all the action you really get the feel of Bisbee. We are all trying to figue out a time to return, because our days went too fast.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Fabulous! 5 of 5 The Brewers Apr 30, 2010 The Copper Queen House in Histor... "Fabulous!" This house is a real gem. Can't beat the location and it's a great value. John and Espy, the owners, couldn't be nicer or more accomodating. They've thought of practically everything to make their guests' stay comfortable and inviting. The house is nicely decorated and guests feel more like they're hanging out at a friend's house then staying in a rental. We can't wait to go back again!Did you find this review helpful? "Quiet Quaint Home Away From Home In the Center of Everything" John and Esmeralda were perfect hosts. They met us at the house and settled us in and answered all of our questions for us. They were available for us after hours if we needed anything. The house was well supplied, warm and inviting. Everything we needed was there; we didn't even need to pack toiletries! You couldn't find a better location, nestled in the center of historic Bisbee, above and behind the museum. After a day of exploring we were able to come home to our choice of quiet porch sitting gazing at the lights of the city or television programing of our choice since there are tv's in every room!Did you find this review helpful? "Girls Weekend in Bisbee" Me and 5 of my closest girlfriends headed down to the Copper Queen for a girls weekend in March. The Copper Queen is stunning and right in the middle of Old Bisbee. There was plenty of room for all of us and we were close to dining, shopping, and activities (We opted for the walking Ghost Tour). The house is stocked so it feels like a home away from home. We are already planning our next visit! And looking forward to spending more time on the gorgeous patio which over looks the town.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

"Best Kept Secret" We rented The Copper Queen House over Valentine's weekend- It was super! The house itself is very inviting, while being very, very comfortable. They even decorated for the holiday. The location is perfect; it's in the center of everything you want to do in Bisbee, but the way it's tucked away "in plane sight" you still get a feeling of "getting away." We especially enjoyed the front porch, where you can relax, watch the comings and goings of the town, take a nap on the lounging couch, or run down and get a cup of the excellent coffee from the Bisbee Coffee Company. The entire house was spotless, and we had everything we needed for our stay. The owner and his wife were also very congenial and are so close (10 minutes away) that if you need anything, they are right there to assist. We will definately return!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

"Relax at the Copper Queen House" We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the CQ House. Location was perfect for walking everywhere. Owners were gracious and very willing to accomodate. House was larger than we anticipated and allowed everyone their own space and activities. Charmingly decorated and had a Bisbee feel. The front porch was an added bonus, and we grilled out daily on the gas grill. We were surprised to find soaps, shampoos, basically everything we needed. Cooking utensils and supplies were also available. We would recommend to anyone.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Perfect Family Home! My fiance and I traveled with his parents and my son to Bisbee, Arizona to see the sights. My fiance's parents were in from Iowa and they were enchanted with Bisbee and this house!. What a perfect retreat for us! The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. The bathrooms were clean and in excellent working order. The kitchen has all the ammenities you would expect - and the sitting area in the kitchen makes for nice company. The home is charming and very centrally located...within steps of everything. We walked to the ghost tour, the mine tour, and all the dining...we never used our car! I don't believe the home is haunted, either...so if you are looking for ghosts, you might not find any here. The best thing was the den...my son slept in there and he watched tv all night and fell asleep with his iPod...the room was all his. No hotel room with a roll away...his own room for the same price of a hotel! The owners are warm and inviting, and they meet you right when you pull into town and help you with parking, luggage and the tour...they tell you about the home and how to get in and out of the home. It's really so kind and inviting to have someone welcome you to a new town. I highly recommend this home! · My Detailed Ratings Value: 5 of 5 Check-in: 5 of 5 Location: 5 of 5 Cleanliness: 5 of 5 Comfort: 5 of 5 Service: 5 of 5Did you find this review helpful? "Perfect Location and spacious" We were really impressed with the quality of this vacation home. I can't believe we never noticed this place before since its right in the heart of Old Bisbee. We had a party of 8 people and it accommodated everyone comfortably. The living room area is really spacious and was great place to just hang out. The owner was extremely friendly and really went the extra effort to make us feel at home in Bisbee. I would definitely recommend staying at this place especially with its close proximity to the Copper Queen Hotel. Hope you try it for yourself! More Review DetailsDid you find this review helpful? "Great weekend in Bisbee at the Copper Queen House" We recently visited Bisbee to take advantage of nearby hiking and historic sites. Luckily, I happened to run across the Copper Queen House when looking for accomodations in the area. 4 of us were traveling and we wanted someplace big enough for us to spread out. The Copper Queen was perfect. It was in the heart of town, with an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The home was cozy and charming- perfect for morning coffee on the porch or card games in the evening. The home was very clean and had everything you could ask for. I've told several folks about it and now I just hope that it will be available the next time I'd like to stay! Thanks to the Jeffrey's for sharing their home with us. It's the best secret in BisbeeDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
