This home is a study in attention to detail. It was built and decorated with the finest materials available. All of the doors, ceilings, window surrounds, custom built cabinetry and moldings are solid plantation grown teak. The pocket doors open up to give you a true indoor/outdoor living experience that is available in very few places any time of the year. The floors are Italian cast stone. All appliances are high end Bosch including a dual fuel range with gas cook top and electric oven. The extensive collection of kitchenware is from Williams Sonoma.
The Great Room is just steps from your own pool that features Spanish glass tile. The covered BBQ patio, with its Vermont Casting gas grill, has been doubled in size for comfortable outdoor dining. Other outdoor features include a teak bar with stools, garden fountain, extensive landscaping, a 100 year old Guanacaste tree (the National tree) , extensive outdoor teak furnishings with umbrellas and complete privacy.
The Great Room has an extensive entertainment system complete with a flat screen TV and wireless high speed internet. There are volume controls in each room. The master bedroom has another flat screen TV and second DVD player.
The home is located on the gated and guarded Point property with private internal access to both the Tamarindo and Langosta beaches in less than 3 minutes. It is a 7 minute walk to the Langosta Beach Club.
You have full membership at the Beach Club during your stay. The Club features a full gym, exercise studio, large infinity edge pool overlooking the warm Pacific, private cabanas, chases and umbrellas on the beach, a tropical French restaurant and a pool and oceanside bar. It is a great place for all ages.
Tamarindo features over 50 restaurants that range from local food to great BBQ and pizza all the way to exceptionally fine dining. All of this is in a casual beach atmosphere so leave the dressy clothes at home.
We can arrange an almost endless number of outdoor and water activities including surfing, sailing, snorkeling, zip lining, wildlife estuary tours, horseback riding, Quad (ATV) tours, volcano visits, world class sport fishing and many more. This is also a great place to just kick back and relax. Read a book at pool side or on the beach. In Costa Rica, we call it Pura Vida, the good life.

We have been to Tamarindo many times and rented different places. This is one of our favourites for all the reasons you can read in the other reviews. What makes it even more relaxing and worry free is having the property managers Bob and Veronica at the ready to help you out and take care of anything you might need. This home is very well equipped, wonderfully located and having the Beach Club just down the road is the icing on the cake. No hesitations at all to recommend this property. Our third visit to Tamarindo, and our second time staying on the Preserve. Nor our last. Fabulously appointed accommodations, and so convenient for a walk into Tamarindo along the beach. Watch the glorious sunset from the beach and walk back to the house for a bbq and chill time. Everything you need is in the house, and if you want to go out there's a ton of choice in Tamarindo. Can't wait to get back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent 5 fantastic days at Casa Sereno. Bob, the property manager, was incredibly helpful with lining up excursions and massages. I highly recommend the massages. They came to the villa and set up outside by the pool. The villa was beautiful and described accurately. The outdoor showers were fun while still very private. The pool area was gorgeous. The Beach Club was a huge bonus. We spent our mornings hanging out at our pool or on an excursion, then headed down to the Beach Club for the afternoon. Tamarindo is a 10-15 minute walk, best done via the beach.Recommended for: Girls getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Five girlfriends met in Tamarindo for a week-long vacation, lapping up every inch of this great accommodation. Although the condo is part of a complex, the landscaping provided excellent privacy -- we felt like we had the run of the place to ourselves! Staff were top-notch -- friendly and at-the-ready whenever we needed anything. Kitchen was very workable for those in the group who wanted to cook up a local ingredient feast -- or fire up a batch of margaritas! Comfortable meeting areas but private places too for a dive into a good novel or a small siesta. Location was great -- just a short walk or drive to beaches, restaurants and a grocery store down the street. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

I stayed for a week at this 'casa'. It was heavenly! The house is very private even though it is within a complex. The interior is clean and crisp and even has a washer & dryer! Each bedroom has its own ensuite complete with outdoor showers (an excellent feature). The living room and dining room are very comfortable and open. The window walls provide such great natural light. The private plunging pool was the perfect back yard feature. The lounges and umbrellas were the perfect coffee spot every morning. We could barbecue on the propane grille, have cocktails on the patio or at the outside bar. Everything about this house was first class. The location is minutes from the beach and a few minutes for the city. It is convenient to everything and yet seems like it is a hide-away. You will love it!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

This was a two-barrel holiday. The first week with four girlfriends and the second week with just my husband and I. Once again, this calibri was a wonderful place for fun, relaxation, and pampering. This two-bedroom, 3 bath condo easily accommodated us 5 women with one on the sofa bed in the living room. The king bed master bedroom and en-suite (complete with open air shower) was lovely. The television in that room was great for watching late night movies (some cable tv in English as well). My husband was happy to catch some of the hockey playoffs and was expecting to miss them entirely for the week so he was very pleasantly surprised. The second bedroom and ensuite has two twin beds and the same awesome open-air shower. The week with the girls involved breakfast at home and then lounging at the Langosta Beach Club where renters are treated like owners and all club privileges applied. We did have some dinners at home and there are fabulous grocery stores - one within walking distance and another a short 5 minute drive. Mornings around the private plunge pool were so relaxing! There are plenty of lounges and seating in the yard which is very private thanks to ingenious design and plantings. At this visit, the tree in the back was filled with dozens of hummingbirds that were active from dawn until dusk. Just lying on the lounge and watching the diverse bird population, iguanas and even a late-night visiting racoon, was a nature lover's paradise. The calibri is a short walk to a wonderful sunset-watching beach. The development's roads are paved and an easy walk down to the beginning of Langosta beach. We sailed, boogie boarded, road horses on the beach, had a wonderful massage therapist come to the house.....couldn't have been better.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

We had such an enjoyable week at this property! It was an all-women trip with 5 sisters and mom. Very comfortable for six people with the full size sofa bed in the living room. We loved our evenings around the pool and sometimes just standing in it with our cocktails. The kitchen is very good for foodies with all of the patio access and the outside grill. Property managers were helpful in getting us sync'd up with the local fish monger, excellent grocery stores and beverage retailers. We wanted for absolutely nothing. Short walk to the west of the condo gets you unspoiled beach to watch the sunsets or up on the hill right behind the condo. We did drive to the Beach Club but that was more so we could take everything we'd need for the day and some of us would lounge and play in the sea or the pool and some would stroll down the beach to the shopping area. Lunches at the beach club were all memorable - and those basil mojiitos are to die for! We found ziplining through the trees close by and estuary tours. I can't wait to go back....this time with husband for a romantic holiday. He will particularly love the showers open to the night air!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway.

Just spent a week at Casa Sereno with my sisters and Mom. What a fabulous place! It was better than the pictures and the description. Everything was beautiful and clean. The bedrooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. The kitchen was top of the line. We made some great meals from there. The outside spaces were inviting and set up great for visiting and just relaxing. But my favorite thing about this home was the outdoor showers. What a wonderful idea. A special thanks to Bob & Veronica, the property managers who looked after all our needs. They went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable and comfortable with their added extra touches. The Beach Club - what a great place to spend the day playing in the waves and sipping on cocktails. The meals are fantastic and the staff treat you like Royalty. We will definitely be coming back. Just an amazing place to vacation.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Stayed at this home first week of January, 2011. Sunshine greeting us each and every morning. Blue sky all day long. Walks along the two incredible beaches. Afternoons in the back yard of the home, quiet, peaceful with only the birds and howlers (monkeys) playing amongst the trees. Cocktails by the pool at the beach club and evenings enjoying wonderful meals in town. We can't wait to get back to this paradise.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, tourists without a car, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
