The stainless steel and granite kitchen with large pantry is a chef's delight when you're in the mood to prepare a meal for your flock instead of eating out in the area's terrific restaurants. The large, comfortable master bedroom has a king bed, a sitting area great for morning coffee and a good book, entertainment center, new hardwood flooring, and a private bath. The second bedroom has a queen bed and entertainment center with TV and DVD player, and is adjacent to the hall bath. The cute bunkroom is great for the younger members of your group and has one futon bunk and one regular bunk, sleeping up to 5.
The spacious living room provides plenty of comfy seating to enjoy watching a movie or the warm, cheery glow of the electric fireplace. The unique dining room table will accommodate 6. And there is breakfast bar seating for three more. You'll appreciate the convenience of the separate laundry room with new washer and dryer.
Outside, you'll love the quaint neighborhood with white picket fences and pastel-colored houses. Our cottage is 'perched' right next to the community pool and at a block and a half from the beach access its only a short 7 minute stroll to Destin's gorgeous white sand and emerald-green water. Our location is sure to please beach bums and pool persons alike! And you're sure to enjoy our new outdoor kitchen area with gas grill, ice box, and comfortable lounging area. You can relax or perhaps grill some great local seafood while watching the kids play in the pool!
Half a mile to the north is the popular Destin Commons Mall filled with great stores, a Rave theatre, and delicious restaurants. Or you may opt to enjoy Destin's wonderful weather and have a barbecue while your little pelicans swim in the pool!

We enjoyed a wonderful family vacation at Pelican Perch. The weather was gorgeous, the beach was calm, and we spent many afternoons grilling and enjoying the pool. What a perfect location for a family! We are already loooking forward to coming back next year for another break from the Texas heat! p.s. This is the first time my family & friends had been to Destin, Fl and we will be back. The people are so kind and the beach is beautiful, but the Pelican house tops it off. We love this cottage and plan to come back to spend another vacation here. It was so peaceful and the pool was awesome. OMG! - What a beautiful place - and to share it with such beautiful women! How did we get so lucky - the neighborhood is like something out of a story book - or "Wisteria Lane". We could actually be the "Destin Dames" if we all could live here. However, that is only in our dreams! This place is adorable! We have been in Destin for a month, having rented two different homes before this and have been please with the whole experience. This is a wonderful place, happy to be here for Easter! There is still snow on the ground back home - winter is way too long there! Pelican Perch is a lovely, well equipped beach cottage and we enjoyed every minute of our stay here. Our guests ranged in age from 5 - 89 and your cottage suited everyone. We love the area and have stayed over the years in several accommodations - but Pelican Perch was just perfect. The weather for our stay was delightful - many fabulous sunsets and, of course, we shopped as all Canadians do. The golf was great and the pool handy and fun. About the owner: We live in Texas but fell in love with the Florida Gulf Coast beaches when we first saw them over 15 years ago. We purchased this home in Crystal Beach in 2010 and spend as much time here as we can, often bringing our children and grand-daughters who love the beach as much as we do.
Why the Owner Chose Clipper Cove:
As soon as we pulled into the quaint Crystal Beach Cottages neighborhood with its white picket fences and pastel-colored houses we knew we had found the vacation home we had dreamed about. The southern classic wraparound porch overlooking the community pool sealed the deal. We love the proximity to the beach, shopping, and great restaurants but we also love just grilling some fresh seafood and enjoying it on our porch rockers. The quiet neighborhood setting is great but we're still only a few minutes from all of Destin's great attractions. Because we come to 'Pelican Perch' often ourselves, we keep it in tip-top condition. We love it here and want our guests to love it also.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
There is so much to see and enjoy in the area of our Destin cottage that we could not possibly list them all but these are some of our favorites. We love Gulf-coast seafood and there are several really good places to get it within a few minutes drive of our cottage - Pompano Joe's is our favorite, but there is also Captain Dave's and The Crab Trap. A bit more elegant choice is Camille's, serving great seafood and steaks in a white-tablecloth setting, and is just a block from our cottage. You cannot believe the sugar-white sand and emerald green water of the Destin beaches until you see them for yourself. There's a terrific beach access point just a 5 minute stroll away. It has a covered picnic area, clean and well-maintained public restrooms, and one of the most gorgeous stretches of beach you can imagine. Several great shopping areas are within walking distance including Destin Commons with its unique upscale retailers in a fun family environment. Silver Sands Factory Outlets (one of the largest outdoor outlet malls in America) is a 5 minute drive. Big Kahuna's water park and The Track Amusement Park are also only 5 minutes away. And the famous Destin Harbor is about 10 minutes away where you can book a fishing trip or dolphin cruise. There's so much to do you can't help but enjoy yourself!
