  Casa Ganesha is a beautiful unique beach house that has an incredible open architectural design perfectly suited for relaxation and sharing with family/friends. The owners, Serge and Michele, go the extra mile to make sure that the rental process is very smooth and clear; and the house manager, Judy, was extremely helpful during our stay. Casa Ganesha’s unique architectural design offers multiple environments separated from each other: the shaded pool at the back side is perfect for afternoons – it includes an open shower to remove the sand from the beach, the rooms are unique and separate from each other – and each of them have their own full bathrooms – which is perfect for privacy, the kitchen is upstairs with an open design that connects into the open living room & dining room – in the mornings and at dusk you can hear the howler monkeys around the house, there is another open shower downstairs for when you come walking from the beach, and also the house has a half-bath upstairs. In terms of security, Casa Ganesha is very safe – it is situated inside the Hotel Playa Negra complex, so there are guards during the day and night, and the three rooms have security safes big enough to store laptops! At Playa Negra you can do horseback riding, surf, swim, yoga, massages, and you can walk the beach and play at the tidal pools at low tides! Playa Negra is a great beach for surfers, but also for swimmers – at the Sandy Beach just walking distance from Casa Ganesha! We were a party of 10 (2 families with 2 kids each, and a couple), and we had a great time at Casa Ganesha, we would love to go back tomorrow!!! We strongly recommend this house – it is the best house in Playa Negra!

  Our family stayed at Casa Ganesha for two weeks, renting half the house. The house is beautiful, and would easily accommodate two families. The owner was easy to connect with and helpful in setting us up. Judy, the woman in charge of the property was an excellent resource and very friendly. Every other day a woman showed up and cleaned the bedding and the house, which was great since the sand makes a mess quickly. We spent most of our time on the fabulous deck, which is like a fancy lounge. We also enjoyed the pool, which is lightly shaded in the afternoon, which makes for a welcome break from the strong sun. There is not a lot of action at Playa Negra, which was perfect for our busy family: it's an ideal place to unwind. The Hotel right down the road is a great place to enjoy a drink at sunset, while watching the surfers. We took a few day trips, and that was fun, but ultimately we just wanted to chill out on the beach near our house. Last but not least, the weather was perfect every day, although be warned, the wind at night is something to behold!

  Without question the nicest place in Playa Negra. Private, Safe, Convenient, Spacious, Clean, Luxurious, Exclusive. Excellent surf about a 1 minute walk down a beautiful path, an outdoor restaurant and bar about a 2 minute walk. My group traveled as 3 young couples; this house was perfect for the guys to surf all day, the girls to lounge by the pool or on the beach, and all of us to relax in the many outdoor living spaces. The owner was a pleasure to work with and any needs we had during our stay were promptly attended to by the on site house manager. When I return to Playa Negra, this is where I will stay.

  Just spent a week here with friends and only have great things to say about the house and location. The architecture, furniture, and details are magnificent. The upstairs decks is where we spent almost the whole time, whether sunny or raining. The pool is great and the deck next to it great for lounging in the sun. The AC units and dehumidifier kept the bedrooms cool and pleasant when it was hot outside and the bathrooms were cleverly designed for an open shower feel. The house is minutes from the beach and Hotel Playa Negra, where we took advantage of the restaurant, massages, and yoga sessions. The property manager and hotel reception were super helpful and answered any questions we had. The location is quiet and relaxing with great restaurants nearby in town.

  I was impressed with the attention to detail of the property. Each room was furnished nicely with all necessary items. We especially enjoyed the large upper deck where we seemed to spend most of our time during our stay; lounging, star gazing, storm watching, checking the surf, meals, etc. The property is only a short walk (less than 5 minutes) from the Playa Negra surf break. With other options in mind, I am very pleased with our decision to stay at this residence. The homeowners clearly appreciate quality construction, thoughtful architecture and interior design.

  We brought the whole family - 10 persons with us for a wonderful holiday at Casa Ganesha. The home is steps from a wonderful beach, blends beautifully with nature with an open air architecture that works well for the dry heat of Guanacaste. Decor of this home is world class - including the functionality of the kitchen and relax areas, pool and rooms. The builder has a way with native woods that is next to none. The whole house smells great! This is not your typical home, this is something very special, and close to the heart of anyone who is ecological minded, and can appreciate a different approach to architecture - unique in Latin America. All of the rooms are comfortable and for a family it is perfect blend of closeness and privacy. Walk around balconies and the super large relax areas are incredible. This home was perfect for a very special vacation for the 83rd birthday of my Mom. Judy the house manager was very helpful in pulling off the surprise party and even with Mariachis! We highly recommend Casa Ganesha!

  I had a marvelous stay at Casa Ganesha. The entire house is wonderful, interiors match exteriors, the pool is cool and deep. Do not expect any disturbances from traffic; geckos and howler monkeys will be your closer neighbors. You can both see and hear the ocean from the deck and the restaurant nearby proposes delicious langostas. There are plenty of other highly advisable food spots in the close vicinity, including French and sushi restaurants. Surf, golf, mountain biking, volcanos hiking...and much more for serious sports addicts. The beach is vast, the ocean warm and one of the most amazing show performs again and again: squadrons of pelicans hedgehopping in a single file, brushing against the break of the wave with the tips of their wings. High flying virtuosity ! A must go destination for nature lovers !
