My husband and I just spent a week at Destin Dreaming. The house was great. We brought our dog who absolutely loved the yard. Since everything is fenced in, we didn't have to worry about where he was. The house has plenty of room and was and very clean. Just about everything was provided for you, ie. paper products and spices. The beach was beautiful and had some nice restaurants as well. Had a very relaxing time and can't wait until next year.

Wonderful Family Vacation

We just returned home from a wonderful week at Destin Dreaming. The house is pet friendly, which was a must for us, but the beach is not. That was a bummer. The good news is there is nothing that you could possibly want for that is not provided at this house. There are tons of spices, flour, coffee, creamer, dishes, towels, everything. Each morning we enjoyed our cofffee and toast out on the covered porch in the rockers. There is plenty of seating both inside and out. You are just a short 1-2 block walk to the beach. The house is super close to several Walmarts and Publix stores for groceries as well as every other type of shopping you could want. Two very nice Antique stores off South Holiday Road. We would definitely rent this house again. Tracey goes above and beyond for her guests! We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay.

Stacey was very easy to work with and accomodating. The house was very clean. The location was very convenient - close to all kinds of restaurants, shopping, retail, and anything you could want. Location relative to the beach was very close - easy walking distance - could not have been more perfect. The house was HUGE with lots of living space. We loved the landscaping and relaxing on the large wrap around porches. House was well equipped. Exceptional value - what you get - everything - for what you pay - very reasonable. My family could not have been more happy - would not have changed a thing.

We just spent four great days at the house, which was everything and more than we had expected. The imformation on the website was completely accurate and the place is extremely clean and well taken care of. The location works well and the fenced yard was ideal for our poodles. We were disappointed only in the fact that the entire area doesn't allow pets on the beach. We travel with our dogs and have visited beaches east and west and have always done our part and more to clean up the beaches. It's too bad that some people, who don't, caused the area to prohibit pets on beaches. Back to the home, it has everything needed to have a great time and Stacy was very helpful. We would highly recommend this VRBO # to all our friends and acquaintances. The weather was cooler than expected but we enjoyed the rockers on the porches and the great pool area for eating lunches under the sun. The only thing limiting our return is the prohibition of pets on the beaches.

We had our family reunion at Destin Dreaming. We had a wonderful time and the house worked out perfectly for our large group of 10. Accurately described, close to the beach and restaurants. Kids loved the pool. Very clean and plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Stacey was very helpful answering questions before our trip.

Destin Dreaming was everything we could have wanted and more. The accomadations were wonderful and so many things provided that we would never have thought to be there. The kids loved the pool even after a day at the beach. Beach access a very short walk. Enought to drop some of the sand off on the way home. Landscaping was beautiful and gave you a very private feel with the trees. Sitting on the porches early in the morning and late at night provided some very relaxed time. Hope to come back someday soon.

The only thing more beautiful than this house is the yard. It was great for kids as well as my dog. The pool is tucked away in the corner with a seperate fence and child proof gate. The yard is landscaped beautifully. It has mature trees that cover the porch areas and give it a very private feel. It is close enough to the beach as well as many shops and restaraunts to walk to easily with children. My dog loved her daily walks, there are sidewalks that make it easy to walk a pet without having to worry about traffic. The inside of the house is beautiful. The pics do not do it justice. There is plenty of room for lots of people. It would also be great for the elderly or handicapped. There is a wheel chair ramp in the front and the downstair bathroom has a safety bar in the restroom. There is a restroom for each bedroom which makes it convenient for getting ready to go out after a long day at the beach. The shower outside is also great for after the beach and it has hot water! Every detail has been taken care of right down to the right dishes, paper towels and toilet paper. The house was very clean and tidy. Stacy was great...she answered all of my questions before the trip. I will definately bring my family back year after year!!! After years of renting vacation homes, I have finally found the best house in Destin. I will definately recommend this house to my family and friends.

COZY and COMFORTABLE

My family stayed here for one month and we enjoyed it immensely. Having my Yellow Lab and Corgi with me meant everything to complete the stay. The house is pure bliss with the large porch on two levels... accessed from multiple rooms, nice private pool area for sunbathing, great location for walking to just about anything: stores, restaurants, the beach, and don't forget "Happy Hour" at several restaurants. ( You can leave tipsy and not worry about driving home.) The neighbors are quiet. The home has everything you need, just bring some fine groceries. Stacey and her family are great to work with. They are honest and really care about you enjoying your visit. That means alot. The only problem is that it's hard to think about staying anywhere else!

This has been the best place we have ever stayed. They furnished everything we would need even had dried mustard to make a breakfast casserole. The only thing we were missing was barbecue tools we probably just didn't look in the right area. The kids loved the pool just the right size for little ones. We loved the beach the water was beautiful and warm. Would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a great place to relax and get away. Great shopping and so many restaurants we couldn't eat at them all. The house was big enough for 10 of us and could of held more. It was very clean and everthing we needed was provided. Had a great time and would go back tomorrow if we could.

Our Texas family has always traveled to the outer banks of North Carolina to meet up with our Pennsylvania family, but for us the travel was 1 day too long and the water too cold. I decided this year we were going to try some place closer, so after some research Destin was the spot and Destin Dreaming was the vacation home for us. Of course we were a little nervous as to the accommodations and conditions prior to our arrival, but let me tell you, everything was just as the pictures appeared. Once we all had a chance to unpack and nest, we all felt as if we were at home. No one ever said "I wish I had" anything, because everything we needed was either there or we took it. The neighborhood was quite and the house was just a block and a half to the public access of the beautiful beach where the water was crystal clear and fabulous. We had a wonderful vacation and will definately return again. So if you're thinking about "Destin Dreaming" booking it, you won't be disappointed!

WOW - what a wonderful property you have in Destin! We took our daughter who was turning 16 years old and let her bring 5 other teens with us as well as our chihuahua and the house was PERFECT! To be a pet friendly (that is scary sometimes but this property was in great shape and didn't smell of any animal)! We didn't know what to expect, but we all felt like we were at home while there. Had EVERYTHING we needed. We ate in every night except for two nights to save money you had every thing we needed. The kitchen looks totally renovated with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances! The pool house was great with the sleeper sofa and private bathroom. Great place for someone to sleep! If we go back to Destin - that is the only place we are staying now. Thanks for keeping your house well kept! It was MARVELOUS! Definitely within walking distance of beach and thanks for the beach chairs, floats, and all of your supplies.

Wow! We were so pleased when we drove into the driveway. What a deal!!! (we were thinking) AND after entering the home, our smiles continued to grow as we looked around! The photos of the bedrooms do not show how large and well furnished(especially t.v's, music systems, etc..) they are. The house was so clean and inviting. We like pet friendly places, but not the kind where there are any clues that a pet has been around AND we were comforted when we noticed how immaculate the interior AND exterior of the home were. We have a small pet and the fenced in yard was terrific, as well as the expansive porches - and also for our boys(ages 4 and 21 months). We pulled the baby in a red wagon to the beach and our other son liked pulling the beach toy cart(he liked the slew of beach toys just as much!) The Crystal Beach community is beautiful and Destin Dreamin' is the house - almost the quintessential American summer vacation place to go with your family/friends. Superb! Comfortable! Enjoyable! It feels like your own beach home!(almost to the point that you don't want to recommend it to others!-a best kept secret kind of place!) We will be back EVERY year, God willing, where our family can make memories for years to come!!!

Stacey, once again our vacation was wonderful! This is our second of many more visit to your home. It's hard to put in words what this vacation ment to me just having battled and conquering breast cancer. Our first visit was in 2007 and my entire family was in love with your home. Our plan was to return in 2008, but I received shocking news of my breast cancer. But God knew I was determined to return to the peace and warmth of your beautiful home. And I did it! We had a total of 7 adults and 2 children in our party. The kids lived in the pool with there dads. I loved being able to sit on the pourch and relax. And the beach was speechless. I told you I was there to rest and take pictures and I rested and took and total of over 800 pictures. We all will be back in 2010, and if anyone is looking for a place to take there family during the summer or fall, this is the place! The pictures don't do this wonderful home justice. This is our fourth New Years celebration at Destin and our first in a private home. What a wonderful change to be able to enjoy Destin Dreaming's pretty yard and neighborhood. The house is very roomy -- we accomodated seven people with no problems -- and the kitchen is well equipted. Walking and jogging was a special treat in such a quiet, interesting area and the beach was just 5 minutes away. We all loved it! Hope to come back soon!

What a great experience for our family! the house was wonderful, tastefully decorated. Everything you would find at your own home was there. Our family had not been all together in several years. We were very happy with the accomodations of Destin Dreaming. The house is HUGE and has every imaginable necessity. It's very well furnished and the bedrooms are very spacious. One of the best features is that three of the bedrooms have king-size beds, so it's a very easy house to share with 2 other couples. We really enjoyed the porches and the fenced-in yard for our schnauzers. The walk to the beach is very close and the house is centrally located near all the things we like to do when in Destin. We were very sad to have to leave and we hope to be back next year! Thanks for such a wonderful house! The Portells

What a beautiful home! Our family has vacationed in Destin the last couple of years. We bring our daughters and their boyfriends and my parents. We needed a large home that was pet friendly. This home met all of our requirements and exceeded our expectations. The decor was lovely and the house was well stocked with everything we needed. It was great having all the spices in the kitchen! The king-size beds in three of the bedrooms was awesome. Stacey was a great host - never intrusive but only a phone call away. The neighborhood is lovely with all the white picket fences, and of course, the beach was beautiful. My family and I travel to Destin every summer, and we have stayed at many nice places, but Destin Dreaming I think should be put into a category of it's own. Our stay was like we had never left home. Everything was availiable to us including the spices we needed to cook our evening meals. The beach was not far from us, but the little community the house was in gave us the privacy we wanted at night when we sat out on those gorgeous wrap around porches we enjoyed so much. As for the inside, all I can say is well-appointed , super spacious, and comfortably inviting. I almost did'nt want to go to the beach. Stacey, the person who rented to us was very nice, and we were able to contact her at the drop of a hat if we needed any info, or had any questions. Destin Dreaming gets a 5 out of 5 in my book.

This house exceeded our expectations in many ways. I live on the Gulf of Mexico about an hour from Destin but I didn't have the space for all my visitors from Virginia. I did A LOT of searches looking for a house big enough to accomodate 7 adults and 5 kids (10 yrs old and under) without breaking the bank. The house is listed as 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, but because the cabana room next to the pool has a pull out couch, it served as a nice surprise 5th bedroom. Although the living room was a bit crowded with us at maximum capacity (in addition to all the little ones running around), we never felt that we didn't have space to escape to. All the bedrooms are huge (LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the king beds in all rooms) with the exception of the 3rd floor room with the bunk beds. There is a big comfy sectional that accomodated most of us. I also worried about the "pet friendly" aspect because we didn't have pets and we certainly didn't want to see any evidence of pets. Once again, beyond expectations! Everything is clean and the decor was just perfect for a relaxing family get-together. We were all very sad to leave the house. If you've never visited this part of FL, it is a must and when you do, come stay at Destin Dreaming!!! Plus, you will have Stacey, who is the friendliest, accomodating hostest to work with.

You can't imagine how lovely a family vacation can be until you stay at Destin Dreaming. This house is absolutely gorgeous with plenty of accommodation and extras that are too many to mention. This home is tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We will definitely be back to Destin and this is the house for us with no doubt! Thank you Stacey!

We felt at home the minute we walked in the house. Everything we needed for a restful week was provided down to the smallest detail. The home was immaculate and had every convenience to make our stay worry free. Stacey was welcoming and gracious as she answered questions and encouraged us to make this our home for the week. The yard is amazing and the pool is perfect for relaxing after a morning at the beach. We would not change anything and our adult children are already asking us to book again next year. WOW WOW WOW!!! Stacey I want to thank you for making our family vacation the best. My family and I were speechless when we stood on the porch! The yard work and plants were awesome. We knew if the outside of your home look that great from the outside, we knew the inside had to be fabulous! And we were right. Seeing the pictures you have posted do not do justice on how beautiful your home is. I have suggested to my friends this is the place to be! Your home felt like we were at home, very warm and cozy. This house is a perfect rental all the way around. It is only a short walk to a very beautiful beach. The house itself is ready to go -- everything you need is right there. It was wonderful to have a house large enough that 6 people were not bumping into each other. The large porches, the wonderful pool area, and the beautiful landscaped yard were all very peaceful. Stacey couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Don't hesitate -- this place is heaven. We can't wait to get back :-)

Oct 2005 This rental house is a gem. It has plenty of room, decorated super and provides everything you need for vacation. The pool, grill and rocking chairs on the porches are a bonus. If you have never been to Destin, the house is located in the Crystal Beach area which is a wonderful area. It is a very safe, quaint and beautiful location. You are close to everything. Lastly, Stacey is easy to work with and goes beyond what is expected. Highly recommend.

What a great vacation!!! The house was perfect - lots of room, plenty of kitchen supplies, great pool! The hardest decision we made this week was how long to stay at the beach (a short 10 min walk from the house), how long to stay at the pool! Great job Stacey - everything was perfect!!!!!!!

Destin Dreaming was a Dream! This house was penty big enough for 7 adults and 2 teens. Never did we feel cramped for room. The location is in the middle of the beautiful Crystal Beach community and close enough to the beach, shopping and plenty of relaxing. Our week in Destin was immediately after Hurricane Dennis hit but the house was in perfect condition. The pourches outside were well used and the pool is great to cool off when the day is over. Just wanted to let everyone know what a great pleasure it was to stay at this beautiful home. Our group consisted of my husband and I, our 2 daughters, their husbands, and 5 grandchildren ages 13, 11, and 8. It was the perfect house for us. We had 3 huge bedrooms with kingsize beds for each married couple and the 3rd floor bedroom with the 2 bunk/futon beds for the kids. Each bedroom had it's own TV and video player. My husband and I used the 1st floor bedroom and our daughters and their husbands used the 2 bedrooms on the 2nd floor. With the 2nd floor bedrooms being seperated by the hallway, bathrooms, and stairs, each had complete priviacy. We espically liked the open kitchen / dining / living room area. We had a great time each evening watching TV and enjoying each others company. There was everything in the house that a person would need, from reading material to pool floaters. The only thing you need to bring is consumables and maybe a cooler, chairs and beach towels for the beach. We enjoyed haveing the beach articles and using the beach cart to tow our things to the beach. The kids really liked the pool with its changing light colors. It was much bigger then we expected, just the right size for them to play around in. The yard was beautifully landscaped and we had no problem parking all 3 cars in the drive. One of the best things was that all our laundry was clean and dry when we left. With 11 of us there, we sure gave the washer and dryere a workout. We were greeted at arrival and given a tour of the house. The kids were excited from the beginging to the end. Their bedroom on the 3rd floor had it's own balcony where they could look out over the neighborhood and they also had a view of the Gulf Waters over the rooftops just about a block and a half away. We walked to the beach at least twice each day. We were there in Aug, and even when the temps were hovering around 100 degrees, the beach always had a nice breeze and was very comfortable. There were many things to do in Destin and the surrounding area, but the beautiful, clean, and family friendly beach is what we enjoyed most. The guys went gulf fishing one day. We cooked the fish the next evening at the house. It was the best fish we had ever eaten, (and our guys do a lot of fishing at home). As you can see our week's stay at Destin was a very enjoyable experience for all of us and we would highly recommend this home as a great place to live while there.

The only problem with this place is that it's so nice, you have to decide if you want to go to the beach or just kick back and relax at the house. Our family of 5 stayed here with another couple with kids and they'll never want to stay in a high-rise condo again. This place has everything. Lots of room, nice furnishings, and relaxing porches. Every thought is given to what you need. From, the stereo-CD players in each room, to the video game system, to the big-screen TV with digital cable, to the games and beach items for use. Plus, the walk to the beach is much shorter than we anticipated. The access is right next to a condo-complex across the road and there's parking access if you don't want to walk. The splash pool is clean and refreshing and the quiet neighborhood made us want to move there. My only request is to add a basketball goal for next time. Thanks for everything. Mike D., Alabama

Just a few steps from the beach and waters of the Emerald Coast is the most beautiful home nestled in a very quiet and well kept neighborhood. As we pulled up in front of this home for the first time, we were in awe. It looked like a home we would want to live in forever. We were greeted by the owner and welcomed with open arms. She took us inside and we were ecstatic! The decor was beyond belief. It is definitely the most gorgeous home we have ever stayed in. While the photos on the website are great, they really don't do it the justice it deserves. The first floor has a spacious living room/dining room combination, kitchen and beautiful bedroom and bath. The second floor has two master bedrooms with private baths that made you not want to leave your room. The third floor is a children's haven with 2 double bunks, bath and game system. The views from the huge porches all around the house are breath taking. It was a perfect accommodation for our 2 families. The outdoor pool was just large enough for a fun splash after a hot day on the beach or night time fun. While in the secluded community, you don't realize how close you are to the grocery, drug stores and Destin Commons (a unique shopping area). Everything was so convenient. Wrap all of this into one package and you have the vacation spot of your dreams. We can't wait until we can return. "Destin Dreamin" is such an appropriate name. Book your stay. We promise you won't regret a thing.
