  The little cabin was just perfect and Barb had all the amenities we needed, including coffee, flowers and wine! The tortoises were fun to watch and photograph, there were even babies. We had a great time. The horse welcomed us at the gate and was very friendly (behind a fence). The cabin was very clean. There was a nice big bathtub along with a shower. Very enjoyable week. Thanks Barb!

  This place is a quite get-away from the hustle and bustle. It has beautiful sunsets and a great view of the city lights at night. She had a welcome basket of fresh fruit and wine and also fresh cut flowers; awesome! It was great to relax and grill out on the covered patio. We even had a few candlelight dinners on the patio. It has country atmosphere with the horse, chickens and we loved the two tortoises and the dogs. Barb has a heart of gold. She is helpful and a very sincere person. This place was perfect for us with our two dogs because it is fenced in. We would recommend this to anyone who likes country living. Hope to go back again!

  My husband and I just spent a week at this property and we would highly recommend it to anyone that wants away from the hustle and bustle of the Valley. We enjoyed the quiet and relaxing atmosphere and will definitely return next year. Barb, the owner, was a pleasure to meet and we hope to see her again next time we make it to Arizona. We have family that may be taking a trip out there and would definitely recommend this rental to them.

  owner is very thoughtful having fresh fruit and flowers in the room upon our arrival! Nice quiet western setting with only the crow of the rooster in the morning

  Old Arizona feel. Barb has created a wonderful, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the environment of the outdoors surrounding her vacation casita. Spent time on large front porch taking in to natural sounds of many species of birds, and the beauty of the property's high country view. The house and kitchen is well stocked, super clean, and welcoming and comfortable. Barb is a great host, and made sure that we had everything that we needed.... with a special touch of a welcoming fruit basket, and vase of fresh flowers.... Finally, don't miss going out to eat at Red, White, and Brew in East Mesa ..... (Barb's recommendation) ... we went twice in one week.... high quality food, and atmosphere (casual), but very reasonably price! Well done, Barb ... see you next time.

  Nice little gem away from all the hustle and bustle. Perfect for nature lovers and hikers. The house is well equipped and Barb is a great host. She never hesitates to check if there is anything you are missing. Tupper my dog enjoyed it as much as I did and even helped Barb with the horses (or so he thought)The eggs are fresh and delicious. Great place to relax and enjoy the views with a glass of wine on the big patio and watch the sun set over AJ and Phoenix.Thanks Barb, if it wouldn’t live so far away I’d be there every winter.   My husband and I (along with our two dogs) had a great three week stay in this wonderful casita. What a cozy and wonderful vacation spot for all. The house is very well equipped, spotlessly clean and felt like home from the moment we entered. Barb went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable. This was definitely a 5 star stay in an Arizona country location. Near to nature and to the city too. We recommend without hesitation!

  This property was perfect for my husband and I. This trip took us hiking thru the Superstition Mountains and the location could not have been better. Loved returning to the Chalet each evening to sit on the covered porch to enjoy the sunset before cooking dinner. We had everything we needed with the full kitchen plus the grill outside. We were very comfortable and I highly recommend this property. I never had fresh eggs before and now I am hooked thanks to Barb. You can't go wrong here with a very helpful, nice owner like Barb and I thank her much.

  My husband, son and I just stayed at this gorgeous property! It was absolutely perfect for our family! It is so private and relaxing with the property being gated in and the mountains in our back yard. If you love animals, nature, wilerness, and peacefullness, then this is the place for you! Horses and chickens and huge african tortoises are all sharing this piece of paradise with you. The house is so comfy, that you imemdiately feel at home. The king size bed is so comfortable, you will want to take the mattress home with you! The bathroom is amazing! U have to see it to appreciate it! Very unique and welcoming. I seriously would have been more then comfortable just spending the whole vacation on this property! And the owner Barb was extremely accomodating and hospitable! She even found us a bed for our son to sleep in while we were there so we didn't have to bring a playpen with. Oh, and I can't forget the farm fresh eggs every moring! The unlimited suppy was so delicious, that once u hav them, you won't want to buy eggs from the grocery store anymore! Barb, do u think you could ship us eggs to minnesota? This beautiful property was perfect for our family, and our 19mth old son had the time of his life there! We absolutely fell in love here and know exactly where we will be staying on our next visit down! We can't thank barb enough for how much we enjoyed ouselves! We loved listening to the coyotes singing and serenading to us at night! Oh how we wished we could have stayed longer! Everything you need is right there! This is deffinately a little piece of heavenly paradise!

  But only a few minutes from the sights and city lights of Phoenix or a trail hike in the canyon. Direct access to Hiway 88 to Canyon Lake and fishing/boating. Wish I could have stayed a month.
