Wonderful Winter Getaway with Family

This was a great place to gather with our five adult sons for a few days before Christmas for some skiing and hanging out together. Proximity to the slopes was very convenient, just a couple of minutes away (we came back for lunch). The kitchen was very well equipped and clean. There was plenty of room to spread out, and we enjoyed having two separate living areas so that there could be two groups watching different movies at the same time. We also appreciated having plenty of bathrooms (4), and a nice view from the dining area and deck. We're glad that we brought most of the groceries we needed, since the only convenience store close by was very expensive. Choice of restaurants nearby was quite limited too. Fabyans, just down the hill, was fine for one evening and moderately priced. We drove westward quite a ways to find something else another night, and stumbled upon a lovely little 'gourmet' eatery in Bethlehem called the Cold Mt. Cafe. The food was sumptuous, but we did spend $25-$30 per person. We brought our own movies and games, which I'd recommend for families with kids past the pre-teen years. The home was equipped with a decent selection for the younger set. We would definitely recommend this vacation rental to our friends and family, and would enjoy returning another year when there is more snow.

We spent Thanksgiving week with our family at this lovely home. The layout of the bedrooms (four bedrooms each with a private bathroom) and the large living and dining areas were perfect for our group (all adults). There's a very nice, well-stocked kitchen and a large dining table, where we enjoyed many meals, and a spacious yet cozy living room, where we spent many evenings by the fire. The house is tastefully decorated, and I especially appreciated the nice linens and plush towels. But one thing in particular really set this house apart from all the others we've stayed at over our years vacationing in Bretton Woods: the incredible family room on the lower level—every afternoon after skiing, we played Texas Hold'em at the poker table and/or pool at the pool table (there's also a huge seating area down there and a large screen television.) Just perfect!

I recently staying in this townhouse with 10 people (5 couples) for a wedding near by. There were other groups staying at other townhouses in this complex and some places that we saw during our trip. It was clear that this unit offered the best amenities and was very well stocked. The kitchen had a large selection of plates, platters, glasses, utensils, etc for cooking and serving food. The beds were comfy and had good linens and pillows. There were plenty of paper goods to replenish as we used them. There was a bunch of board games and puzzles and the downstairs game room offered great entertainment. We used the stocked firewood to enjoy a warm cozy fire one night as well. The unit was very close to the mountain and other points of interest we visited during our trip. And the owner was very easy to work with. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone looking for a place to stay around Bretton Woods, particularly to large groups.

I recently stayed at this townhouse for a girls weekend! I can't begin to tell you what a great place this was to get a group of people together and just get away from it all (although, if you DO need to work, there is internet and good cell service). The views are amazing from the big windows in the living area, the Mt Washington hotel is right next door for a spa visit or drinks/dinner out and N.Conway is a short drive away for shopping. In the townhouse, the kitchen was so nice… it has a granite counter looking out into the living area - perfect for making family meals and still being able to be part of the conversation. The living area was very cozy with a fireplace and flat panel tv and downstairs there is a family room that has everything you could ever want… poker table, pool table, huge tv and a sectional that I'm pretty sure was brand new! Having stayed at other rentals, I would say this is the nicest ones around. It's very clean, homey and has great updates that make it a place I'd want to come back to with my family or another girls weekend!

We could not have asked for a better stay here. Our party includes 4 adults and 2 kids (our parents and kids) and it was the perfect home for us. The place is absolutely beautiful and has many heart-felt touches. It was clean, neat, well-furnished, and very well-decorated. Furthmore, Brett, the owner, was incredibly helpful and even accomidated us for an additional night at the last minute. We will be sure to be back! What a great home!

We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated such amenities as a boot dryer and pool table. It would be nice to have a sound system and perhaps a larger HDTV mounted on the wall on the main floor. The place was clean and I had good email communication with the owner. 24/7 shuttle service was great as was the skiing at Bretton.

This is a lovely, nicely decorated condo with very pleasant spaces for preparing food, eating, socializing, bathing, sleeping, and storing winter clothing and skiing gear. The view of the skiing mountain is beautiful. This is the second year our group has rented, and the instructions for use are clear. I highly recommend this property.

Our whole family, kids and grandkids, had a fantastic stay at this exceptional condo! The unit was very clean, was just as described, and more than comfortable for us all! The owner was extremely easy and helpful to work with. The shuttle is to the ski slopes is wonderful...they were prompt and more than helpful and kind. The children, ages 2 thru 14, had their first snow ski experience, and we couldn't have been happier with the ski area itself and this condo. Kitchen very nicely stocked...loved the fact that there was extra supplies (toilet paper, tissues, paper towels etc.) Since we did all our eating right there, the well stocked kitchen and all the supplies was great! It snowed every day we were there and the view of the ski slopes was awesome! We would highly recommend this condo, and hopefully we'll be back again ourselves!

Beautiful Mountain Getaway

My family and I had a wonderful summer vacation at this mountain townhome. The views were breathtaking! It has all the amenities home and more than enough space for everyone. We enjoyed grilling on the deck most evenings. It was beautifully decorated and very clean. There are many things to do in the area. We went hiking, mountain biked, swam in the river, visited the recreation center and took a trip to the grand Mountain Washington Hotel and Resort. Wonderful, quiet getaway! Great Bretton Woods Condo

We've vacationed at Bretton Woods many times. This was the first time we've rented this unit, and it was by far the best. Plenty of beds, extremely well stocked kitchen, great layout. It accomodated two families very well. The owner is great to work with. We hope to be back in the future.

The home we stayed in was wonderful. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. We had two familys with plenty of space for all (our kids are not little anymore and it was perfect). The shuttle to the mountain was very convenient and the skiing was the best. We really loved this home and would rent it again should we get back to the Bretton Woods area, any time of year. Great place for a ski vacation

This was our second year back at this beautiful spot. We had rented a condo from the resort and this place was so much nicer and well equiped. We bring our parents with us (age 70, 74 and 83) and our 3 boys (age 5-10) and there's something for everyone! The kitchen has everything you would need to make a great meal (we cook in mostly) and is newly renovated. The family room downstairs was a great place for the boys to play pool, play a board game (from the supply) and/or watch a movie from the owner's DVD collection. The home is very clean and comfortable for all. Grandparents could sit sipping coffee and watch their grandsons ski (using binoculars) or take the shuttle to the lodge to watch up close. Working with the owner is very easy. The views are great and the location is ideal.

When we walked in to this beautiful townhome, my 2 year old son exclaimed, "This place is amazing!" He was right -- this immaculate home had so many special touches and wonderful amenities. It was a warm and most comfortable space and it was absolutely spotless. It was truly the perfect location for my family to celebrate my mom's 60th birthday. There was plenty of space for 4 children and 8 adults and it was so nice for each family to have their own bathroom! The kitchen is gorgeous and had everything we needed (pots, pans, silverware, mugs, plates, etc.) to prepare a special birthday dinner and breakfast for my mom. We all enjoyed the breathtaking mountain views, the fireplace and the pool table (we couldn't drag the boys away from it). My mom, the birthday girl, was so pleased that she had a jacuzzi tub in her bathroom. Staying at this townhome was a once in a lifetime experience! The owners, Tracey and Brett were so pleasant to deal with. I would highly recommend this property. We had so much fun - my mom asked if we could rent it every year for her birthday!

Our stay at this townhouse was excellent. It was fully furnished, even the kitchen, usually something is missing such as a bottle opener or something small but important, everything was here. It was very comfortably furnished and a great place for kids. We had 5 children with us and the finished basement was perfect for them to hang out and be squealing girls! It was close to Storyland and the river and easy to eat at the kids friendly Fabyians. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean. Thank you for a great vacation.

We stayed here because our son had a wedding at the Mount Washington Resort. Before renting this townhome we searched hard for the right place. We were so pleased with all the comforts of home.We loved that it was at the beginning of a group of townhomes, we had alot to carry in and out and it was very convienent. Our family also has a handi cap relative that spent the night and she was very pleased with the access. We had alot of family renting many of the townhomes in the area and this was our favorite. Very comfortable, all the comforts of home, and great play area downstairs for the little ones. thank you

This was our second time renting at this location and once again we found this townhouse to be immaculate. Our family hiked Mt. Washington so the location of this townhouse saves travel time to get to the Ammonoosuc and Jewell trails. The jacuzzis were great after a long day of hiking. We loved the newly remodeled kitchen with granite counter tops. There was plenty of room to accommodate our entire family. We enjoyed the spectacular mountain views. We will return again!

This condo at Bretton Woods was every bit as beautiful as it's pictures. The layout of the property was such that the adults could relax on the first floor while the children were busy playing pool, games or watch a movie in the basement. The kitchen was well appointed with clean working appliances,and the counter/island was a very comfortable place for breakfast and reading up on our plans for the day. Every bedroom and bathroom was very neat, clean and provided adequate space for your items. The views of the mountain were beautiful and I'm sure even more spectacular in the fall and winter. The deck was comfortable and the grill easy to operate and clean. The location was very peaceful and relaxing. Check out the Zip line at the mountain and a hike to the falls. The information book in the condo on area attractions and tv information were very helpful. Fayban's was close and had something for everyone for dinner. Overall, we would definitely stay here again. The owners thought of everything to accommodate their guests.

While I have stayed in the new hampshire area in the past, my stay at this townhouse ranks as one of the best. Great location for enjoying the out of doors and local attractions like santa's village and story land. We had a couple of rainy days and it was nice accessing the Mt. Washington Hotel's rec center pool at bretton woods for a minimal fee. It was also great having the pool table, arcade game and kids games to play with. I would recommend to all, warm atmosphere, good location, plenty to do, and lots of room.

Hone Away from Home

Truth in advertising is a definite asset. We got everything that was promised and more from this rental. It was a real pleasure to work with the open, flexible owner of this marvelous end-unit townhouse with beautiful views and located in this wonderful area of NH. Easy access to the mountain, the Mt. Washington Hotel and many attractions is a huge asset. It was truly a home away from home for our reunion group. This townhouse offered a quiet and very comfortable getaway for the children of our group as well as the adults. The large, well equipped game room was a real hit with everyone. The kitchen was equally well equipped and easy to use. All we needed to bring was food, personal items and a good attitude; everything else was provided. It was our first return to Bretton Woods having skied in this area many years ago. It was a pleasure to kick back and relax and explore this area during this greener time of year. As an aside, our reunion group was larger than could be accommodated by this single townhouse alone. Our group also independently rented a nearby house. Happily, we found that our townhouse and the other house were perfect complements to each other. The other isolated house provided a good place for our late night, boisterous game players and large whole family events (e.g., a “Thanksgiving” dinner); our townhouse provided the younger families (and the more “reserved”) a more intimate, cozy, private location for quiet relaxation, discussions and games. We will definitely return to Bretton Woods with our family (children and grandchildren) in the near future and hope that this townhouse will be available to us. Our highest recommendation is certainly well deserved.

We spent the last week of February there, and really enjoyed our stay! The condo is clean and spacious - and a treat to have multiple floors so that the adults could chat after dinner and the kids could go downstairs. The mud room is awesome - what a great place to store all the outdoor stuff you have for a family! We loved the entire area - very peaceful and no traffic. We went cross country and downhill skiing, tubing and sledding, swimming, etc. My third grader is studying the Iditarod in school, and as a treat we went on a dog sled ride. The dogs are adorable.

Every year we (our family) looks forward to this Christmas present from our grandparents. All the cute pictures of Graham & Savannah kept us feeling like it was our home. All the decorations also. My friends and I stayed in this property with our kids last January. It was as shown...cozy, clean and nicely maintained. Nice playroom downstairs with a pooltable and extra large TV. The shuttle was really convenient since we didn't want to drive, We did learn late in the stay that we could use the pool at the Mount Washington Hotel for free which the owners did not mention. Also we did find it odd that the owners had lots of pictures of themselves and their children all over the house.(It made us feel a bit like interlopers.) Over all though, a good rental.

Owner response:Thanks for the kind words. For clarification, technically, the usage of the pool at the Mt. Washington Hotel is not included with the rental of our home which is why I did not mention it. I'm very glad to hear though that you were able to use it. I can not tell folks that they are allowed to use it. Regarding the pictures, I'm sorry they made you feel uncomfortable, interestingly, we frequently get comments just the opposite. Some folks tell us how much they love the pictures of our kids because it lets them realize this is a real vacation home and not just a sterile hotel style place. The next time we are there, we will look at the photos again to make sure they are appropriate. Thanks again for the review, we hope you will visit again.

Wonderful Stay at Bretton Woods......

First of all, I wanted to thank you for sharing your home at Bretton Woods as we just got back yesterday from a wonderful stress free weekend. The views from your townhome were spectacular! The location was ideal as we were less than 5 minutes from the mountain, Mt Washington Hotel and Fabyans; and what an extra treat to have absolutely no traffic. The kids loved the space downstairs and the new large TV, the vast array of movies and books kept them busy for hours at the end of a long day at the slopes. The décor is very rustic and fits in very well to the area. Your bathrooms were large and had wonderful thick absorbent towels. The couch and loveseat are very comfy and many naps were taken during our stay enjoying the warmth of the fire. The mud room was efficient as we were able to store all of our ski gear for 8+ and enjoyed using the boot heater on those cold mornings. The newly refurbished kitchen was beautiful and everything you could think of was there. Again, thank you for a magical weekend as we hope to return to your lovely townhome in the future.

Great 1st Trip!

Great Townhouse!

Great large townhouse with tons of room. Perfect for getaways with a large family group. We go to this area every fall with two families to take the kids to Story Land and Santa's Village, this is the perfect spot between the two, about 30 minutes each way. House is in great shape, very clean and well maintained. Kids loved the downstairs game room with big TV, pool table and video game. Bedrooms are big with plenty of room and different bed arrangements to accomodate pretty much any group. Owner is very organzied and the rental process is easy. They have thought of everything.

Wonderful property full of amenities and tastefully, comfortably decorated. Great space with a well equipped kitchen . Preparing several meals was painless! The mudroom entry helped keep us organized and clutter free. Wish more restaurants and activities had been open during the week, so we "must" return to experience the full flavor of the region. Mother Nature did manage to decorate the Mountains with magnificent color. This was a perfect family reunion get-away for folks traveling from Seattle, Georgia and CT. Our group of 10 represented ages from 3 to 68. We enjoyed being able to get together as a group around the table or in the living room or large family room, or slip away to the privacy of spacious bedrooms and well appointed bathrooms. The highlight of the trip was the not so shy red fox who decided the kids' nerf football would make a great toy for her "kits". Thanks for a "wicked good" White Mountains experience, we shall return!

We stayed the end of September. The foilage was almost at it's peak that far north. As soon as you walk through the door you realize you are somewhere special. There are many persoanlized touches that make you seem more a house guest than renters. Pictures of the owners and their children and very nice household decorations are scattered through out the house. The place is very well maintained and very clean. All appliances, electronics and plumbing were working flawlessly. The kitchen was just renovated this year - very nice. We stayed with another couple and did not feel cramped in the least, plenty of room to roam (4 adults, 4 children). Downstairs was great for the kids (ages 3 - 7) to go and play at the end of the day. From the deck there is an incredible view of Bretton Woods. There are many hikes located very close to this location (trailheads less than 10 miles). The hikes range from 20 minute hikes to Mt. Washington hikes! We went to Storyland and then enjoyed the fall foilage. We definitely will be returning for another stay next year! Overall, a very nice experience!

My friends and I book a weekend once a year to get together and golf a different location every year. We have done several in Vermont and this was the first in N.H. Everyone of my friends said this was BY FAR the nicest place we have stayed to date. The view and the accommodations were nothing short of perfect. We did not need to go out and find something to do after golf in the evening since there was Poker, Pool, DVD's and more. We had a close encounter with a beautiful red fox while eating on the deck. The neighborhood was very clean and quiet almost as if we were the only group on the mountain. This place is perfect for a guys golf vacation, a family getaway, or even just for a couple to enjoy a weekend alone. It would suit just about any occasion you can think of. HIGHLY recommended for anyone looking for accommodations in the White Mountains.

This condo is the perfect spot for a group of friends or extended family. The rooms are clean and very comfortable, the kitchen well-designed and well-equipped, and the views excellent. The basement activity room, with its arcade game, pool table and huge TV, kept us all busy during our "down time". In fact, it so impressed my 11 year old son that he was sure we were in the wrong condo and would be found out and forcibly evicted in the middle of the night. We hope to return soon.

Hikers Heaven

We had a wonderful week long stay in this beautiful condo and truly felt like it was our home away from home. The sleeping arrangements were ideal for family and friends that joined us throughout the week. As hikers we were in an ideal location to hike much of the White Mts including being a 5 minute drive from the base of Mt Washington and it's trails to the summit. With our tired legs we were able to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi at the White Mt Resort Hotel to which we had access. This is a great spot for a summer getaway to this beautiful area of New England.

This is a beautifully maintained condo. Great for multiple families with kids. It is spacious, yet very cozy and comfortable. It has every appliance you could possibly need. The tennis courts are right down the hill, and the pool is a short distance. Both are well maintained and very clean. The owners are very nice and easy to communicate with. A fabulous place for a fabulous weekend! You won't be disappointed!! -Cyndi

This is a great place for a family gathering. There is so much room for everyone and the unit is very well equipped. It is close to all the area attractions yet is a private retreat. I highly recommend this home.

We just returned from our weekend and cannot say enough about this house. It was perfect for two families with young children. The finished basement adds a lot of space to this house. The house is very clean and very well kept. I would highly recommend this house.

Fabulous Ski Vacation 2008

We had a fabulous stay during our February vacation week. Not only was this a great condo for kids, but also for adults. This condo provided both common space and private space. Each bedroom had an associate bathroom. The kids loved the bunk beds, pool table and large screen TV. The little extras like board games and well stocked wood only added to top notch quality of this condo. The kitchen had all the cooking utensils needed to prepare meals easily. The view from the family room was beautiful and the kids had fun watching for the lifts to open each morning and spying the snow cats at night. The diversity of activities available at Brettonwoods was terrific. We took advantage of some including the swimming pool, sleigh ride and snow mobiling. We ran out of time to try the tubing and ice skating. The shuttle service was fabulous and only took minutes to arrive. That was such a plus as we did not have to drive anywhere the entire week! This was especially nice at the end of a day of skiing. Just walk to the curb and jump on a bus. It would drop you off right at your driveway. All this and fantastic skiing too. You couldn’t ask for more in a family ski vacation.

Awesome Ski Weekend

Upon arrival we were all just blown away by the townhome. It catered to our every need and was really much more then what we expected. From the fully equipped kitchen to the massive rec room downstairs, I would stay here over the Mt. Washington Hotel any day of the week. Every night all 10 of us sat around the fireplace sharing stories of that days skiing adventure. The town house truly set the bar for any future ski trips. I think everyone came to me before the weekend was over and asked if I was renting it next year because they wanted in. I can't wait myself to go back, this has to be one of the best places to stay in Bretton Woods.

We spent a fantastic extended weekend away at this beautiful home with 3 other couples. We all enjoyed ourselves--there was more than enough room for everyone. The downstairs rec room with the large screen TV was an added bonus for relaxing in the evening. Bretton Woods has great alpine skiing and nordic/snowhoe trails and there was good snow cover-especially for NH in January! There is definitely something for everyone. We are considering renting this home again later this season!

Great Bretton Woods Location

Our family has stayed at this Townhome at Bretton Woods several times. It is a wonderful location very close to the Mountain. The home itself is VERY clean with 4 bedrms and 4 bathrooms! There is room for everyone and all the ski gear can stay in the heated mudroom to dry off until the next adventure. The lower level is huge with a pool table and large seating for a movie. We look forward to going back soon.
