  We stayed in this WONDERFUL home over the Christmas break . My family loved it. There was plenty of room for all 10 of us. We enjoyed the views and practically private beach. We are planing our trip for the summer back to this home .

  We stayed in this beautiful home for a ladies retreat with my church group. We all had a wonderful time and enjoyed this home so much we plan to come back every year. The home was clean and well kept up. We had a good experience with Chicks Beach rentals and appreciate all the extra help Kathy and Sierra offered .

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, pet owners.

  Thank you so very much for opening your beautiful house to our family. It is truly the perfect beach home. We love our yearly trips to Virginia Beach and the stay at your house made it even more memorable. Spacious, clean & fully equipped kitchens, felt just like home. We had some great weather for October and actually enjoyed a few days on the beach with sunshine. We love renting from Kathy, we have rented a few other properties before and have always had great experiences. Have a terrific season! Thank you again, and hope to be back next year!

  We loved Chicks Beach and Kathy with chicks beach rentals was great to work with . The home is clean, spacious, well furnished, and conveniently located. Not only do you walk out onto the bay beach. Other homes I have rented have been sparsely or cheaply furnished -- not here. The kitchen accessories made cooking easy, and a grocery store was just a couple blocks away. . We could tell we were in someone's home, and not just a house. There were books for us to read, games to play, beach toys and chairs, etc. And of course it has amazing sunsets from the deck or the generous master suite.

  Property was great except for no hot water downstairs the whole time, broken jets in the master tub and rental equipment not meant for the ocean we could not use and we still had to pay for.We had to accomodate the plumber twice for 2 hrs each (and it was still never fixed--never even the hint of an apology from Kathy). There were stains on the carpet when we arrived that Kathy then took out of my deposit for a shampoo--not due to the inspection that was supposed to have occurred when we left, but 10 days later when she said the owner arrived!! She is RUDE and dishonest. This was a very, very disenheartening experience. I will never, ever rent from Chicks Beach ever again. I have never felt so cheated in my life. She owes me $70 + the $75 for the kayak. I would like to use stronger words, but I will restrain, though I'm certain she'll deleted this as she has all the other 2012 comments.

  Owner response: Pridgen Family, I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay at the rental. The water heater was out of our control. The part that was shipped the first time for the shower was a defective part , and we had to order another one which came in after you left. I do apologize about the inconvenience about the water in the downstairs shower. We do try our best to accommodate our guests as best as we can. As far as the security deposit goes, we did approve you to bring your 2 small dogs, under the condition they were to stay downstairs in the tiled area of the home. We noticed the stains on the blue light carpet in the master bedroom once you left the rental. Most people would not receive any sort of deposit back when it comes to damages with pet urine stains. The kayaks are rented through another company, and there were no other styles available. We spoke to the other guests and checked on them on the Sunday you left, and they were ok with using the other 2 showers for the 3 days. We have not deleted any reviews for this year, as you are not allowed to do so through vrbo.com without deleting your whole listing page. Im sorry that you are upset about the deductions with the shampooing of pet stains.

  This home is the best vacation home we have ever been too. We have stayed in many beach homes over the years and this one is by far the best . It had everything we needed abd then some. the beds where comfortable and house was well decorated and kept up . Kathy the property manager was great to work with . Unfortunately we called too late this year to get the week we needed because it was already booked . Will be back in 2014..

  Chicks Beach Rentals made our Sons Wedding ! We booked this rental home for our extended familys accomadations for our sons wedding . When our venue for the rehersal dinner fell through at the last minute Kathy worked with so we could have the family at our rental . It was perfect for our Sons rehearsal dinner . We had dinner out side in the yard right by the beach .It felt like we where on a private beach at some Caribbean island . I wish we had thought of this sooner . The home had 2 kitchens which made it perfect for rehearsal dinner with the second kitchen on the beach level . The home was beautiful and well decorated . I honestly cant say enough !! Thank you Kathy and Sierra for making it so special . Richards Family

  We rented this home to accomodate our family coming in from out of town for my daughter's wedding. The backyard and beach setting was perfect for professional photographer pictures the day of the wedding. The downstairs apartment worked wonderfully for my daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandchildren. Plenty of room upstairs and in the kitchen to entertain out-of-town guests and the master bedroom was a sanctuary after the busy hectic days. Definetly a place to come back to and recommend to a friend.

  I've been meaning to contact you to let you know how much of a nice time the ladies and I had at your beautiful home on the beach a couple of weeks ago. It was the perfect place for all of us to hang out, relax and catch up with one another. There was more than enough sleeping areas and bathrooms for all of us, and more then enough supplies. It was a beautiful location on the beach and proximity to the tourist area. Although we never met you - your hospitality was very evident throughout your home.

  My family and I had a Fabulous time at the beach front rental. It was more than we expected it to be. Going back and forth to the beach from the back yard, was a plus. Also, when we first entered the house we all were in AWE!! The house was so beautiful, accommodating, with large amount space and the two kitchens were so useful, especially the one on the 2nd floor. The view of the beach from most of the rooms, and sitting on the decks, was breathtaking. I felt like a queen in the huge master bedroom... The house accommodated all ages for activities.... Also, the neighbor was a gem. He and his partner or wife was so nice and friendly, and made us feel so welcomed in the neighborhood. It was our BEST vacation ever. Hoping to do this again next year, at this property.

  This home was true to the photos and description. We were very comfortable and the house was stocked with everything we needed (e.g., computer hook-up, kitchen, etc.). The beach was quiet just steps away from the back door of the home. The bay side is much calmer and was absolutely perfect for the elderly and preschool ages in my family. We would easily stay here again. There was plenty of room, beautiful views, and the home was bright and nicely decorated. The owner allowed us to take our small dogs, which were comfortable in the completely built-out basement space (included a full kitchen, dining area, living room, and bedroom). We were allowed to take the dogs on the beach before 10am and after 6pm, so it was perfect for us.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.
