Welcome to my lovely TreeHouse. First of all I would like to thank everyone for the 5 star reviews!!! Please hurry back and check out the updates to TSV. They have installed a lift to Kachina Peak which is at 12,450 feet. You can view videos of the installation @ skitaos.org. TSV has one of the best ski schools in the country. I sincerely believe if you can learn to ski here, you can ski anywhere! There are several beer festivals, a winter wine tasting festival, live music on weekends, a breast cancer awareness weekend, discount rates of 25 bucks a day in Jan (23-25) for military & their families, There is the Soloman Extreme Freeride competition in February. Ernie Blake's Birthday celebration w/torchlight parade & fireworks and the Ben Myers Ridgathon in March. Closing day is April 5th. Go to skitaos.org for events, demo days, etc. Get thee on skiis and have a blast!
This lovely condo has large south facing windows and deck overlooking the Rio Hondo, a stream that gushes in the spring or is hidden quietly under a blanket of snow in the winter. It is a wonderful retreat for skiers, snowshoers, snowboarders during ski season, a cool respite in the summer for hikers and bikers, and a wonder of colors in the fall.
The kitchen is fully furnished; cabinets and fridge stocked with the basics plus some. The gas fireplace is on a thermostat. There's an iPod player for your tunes.
In the living area, there is a queen sized platform bed with fine linens, down comforter & pillows. A chaise near the bed drops out into a twin sized bed. Up, in the loft, there are 2 twin sized mattresses that can be pulled out separately or put together. There are yoga mats, foam bricks and straps for stretching and a folding table and chair if you need to create office space.
The loft is accessible by a ladder that might be imposing to grownups, but children love it. They should be of tree climbing age and not so young that they must be retrieved. Just watch your head!
The parking lot is paved and next to the road. You will not need 4wd. This upstairs condo is a few steps above street level, but is on the third floor facing the stream,
Today is November 16th and it is snowing like crazy! Please make sure you have good tires on your vehicle. All wheel drive means nothing if your tires are bad!
Please come. Hopefully, you will love it as much as I have and come back to see the changing seasons. It is magical!

About the owner: I moved from the Amarillo area in 2001 as a traveling RN for a 13 week assignment, that turned into 10 years of nursing at Holy Cross Hospital. It was a no-brainer!
Why the Owner Chose Taos Ski Valley: While living here, one has a tendency to hang out with like minded souls. I began bicycling and would ride up the road, not always to the ski valley, but along the stream up to Taos East. What a lovely ride! Told a real estate friend to let me know when something along the stream became available and Voila! Now my like minded friends stop by after skiing, hiking or biking for a beer or a glass of wine.
