Pictures cannot do this place justice! Coming from London UK, we found it the perfect launch-pad to explore Vancouver Island. So different from the city, a wonderfully secluded location, but only a short drive for food, shopping and highway. Astounding panoramic views with plenty of seals and other wildlife to watch during breakfast. After sundown, watch the fireworks after dark across the inlet. Well worth getting up early to view the sunrise over the mountains with the bald eagles soaring overhead scooping impossibly large fish from the ocean. A usefully placed humming bird feeder ensured we got to watch the many tiny creatures close-up. My wife and I plus two older teenagers found the property equipped to a high standard, spacious and well designed for our needs and particularly liked having a lounge on each level. The delightful garden with its many places to sit and chill was also much appreciated. It was with regret when we had to leave via the ferry that sails across the inlet and literally wave the house goodbye. We would thoroughly recommend.Did you find this review helpful? We spent a wonderful week at Seapoint, enjoying the wildlife (seals and birds galore!) and boats floating by. We watched the Butchart Gardens fireworks from the yard and had a ton of fun exploring the area. There are tons of activities withing 20 minutes of the house and, if you don't want to do anything, the house has everything you need to relax and enjoy West Coast living. We are thoroughly enjoying every aspect of seapoint. We have had absolutely wonderful weather. This is exactly what we wanted, a great break from the hot, dry summer in Utah. We hiked several trails in the area. Yesterday, we hiked just up the road west of the highway. It was so beautiful, we tasted the wild raspberries, saw all kinds of wildlife and even a black bear. It looked like a larger cub and we didn't see the mama, so we turned around at that point. We walked along the beach and saw a deer right on the beach, wow! We will find it hard to leave tomorrow. This is paradise! Thanks so much for allowing us to share a small part of your beautiful home and country. We will certainly plan to come back.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway.

It has been a real privilege to be able to sit on your deck and watch the world go by.Your gardens are beautiful.We liked it so much that we didn't venture very far. Just to watch the seals, otters and the large variety of birds has been great. We left with great memories. The photographs of the house do it justice. It was fantastic! We really loved this place! A piece of heaven. It had everything we needed in a vacation plus a gorgeous view. Local area was great for one stop shopping plus there were so many other things to see and do.. like walking through Butchart gardens, visitng local festivals, shopping in Victoria, visiting wineries, walking the shoreline and looking for marine life! House was quite charming, clean, and bright. Owners make a real effort it seems to make folks feel at home. Really hope to return someday soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

We had a wonderful week. The owners welcomed us heartily, showed the house to us and helped us patiently to fix our European adapters. The house is specatular: The technical equipment for PC, IPod, the kitchen equipment, the jacuzzi outside. Nets at windows keep out the insects. Towels are provided as many as you need. The view on the bay is absolutely spectacular. From three rooms you can observe bird life, including kolibris and seals playing, swimming and catching fish right in front of the plot. There are two decks outside and a very beautiful big garden. The house is situated in a quiet neighbourhood to make the relaxation perfect. A small mall with post office, bank, restaurant, supermarket is about 5 kms away. You can easily reach various attractions in the south of Vancouver Island within a half-day or day tour. A pity the house is so far away from our home...Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, girls getaway.
