My family and I just returned from a great first visit to Cape May. Our group consisted of 13 people including 7 kids but having a enough space was never a factor in this beautiful well-designed home. The owners have definitely taken special care to see to it that everything you would need for a beach vacation is available to you (i.e. kayaks, bikes, wave boards etc.) The location was A+. As one reviewer has already stated and I will reiterate, the sunsets over the Bay are phenomenal and you don't even need to leave your deck to see them. Being able to go to the beach and come back across to the house for drinks, lunch, or bathroom breaks was definitely another plus. The water in the Bay was very calm, and due to low tide most days we were able to walk out about 75 yards. Dont be surprised to feel a clip of a horshoe crap from time to time though. All in all one of the best homes I have rented after having places in Rehoboth, Bethany Beach, and LBI in previous years.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We spent an absolutely superb week at this property in July 2011. The house was perfect in every way, from the location across a tiny street to the calm waters and soft sand beach, to the details in the house like the true chef's kitchen, wrap-around deck, 2 master bedrooms, large hot tub, outdoor showers and hose, laundry chute, central vac, and elevator. Gorgeous views from every floor of the water and sunsets. Also, the A/C is zoned for each floor and works wonderfully, which was a huge perk this year due to the high heat. The house is also well furnished, with comfortable and practical solid furniture. The house was so nice and the beach so convenient that you almost don't need to leave this house! The ACME is 3 minutes away and has everything you could need (as good as your grocery store at home). In the Townbank neighborhood, you'll find fast food, convenience stores, mini-golf, ice cream, dollar stores, gas stations, and the like. And it's a short drive to (1) central Cape May for the guarded beaches, shopping, and restaurants; (2) Cape May Point for the lighthouse views; or (3) Wildwood for the boardwalk/amusement park/waterpark scene. As another reviewer mentioned, Harpoon Henry's is a few short blocks down the street -- outstanding food and beer with a great laid back atmosphere. Kayaks, bikes (including kids'), beach chairs, nets, and all sorts of useful things in the garage. This is a great property for young kids, especially with the Cape May Zoo and Aviation Museum nearby and the convenient shallow entry beach with soft sand. There are also a number of games and puzzles in the living room for kids to enjoy. Every evening an hour before sunset, people would walk down to the beach to enjoy the views -- and we just padded out onto the top deck overlooking the beach. Perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I had a wonderful week at the beach in this beautiful house. The property is located right on the bay and a very short walk to the beach. We enjoyed the the amazing views from the 2nd and 3rd floors, especially the sunsets. The house itself was very well-maintained, clean, and accomodating to the entire family. Our family of five were able to live on the 2nd floor, while my parents stayed on the 3rd floor which gave everyone some privacy. And the elevator was especially useful for my mother who has trouble with stairs. The neighborhood was extremely quiet and we enjoyed using the bikes to explore the area. And it was a very short drive to downtown Cape May. The owner was even available to answer a question. We would definitely love to come back if possible and I highly recommend the property to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We, a few families with small kids, stayed in June 2011. Pros: Gorgeous, newish, large house; awesome view & sunsets; great kitchen; climate controlled; hot tub; big decks (though not wide enough to eat on); great location across a tiny street from swimmable, boatable calm bay water; peaceful. Cons: None really, but know that Townbank is residential and it's a 10 minute drive to Cape May; minor con: plenty of parking but no yardRecommended for: People with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

We have been vacationing along the Jersey shore for years. So when we discoved this listing located on the western shores of Cape May we were a little apprehensive. But what a delightful experience we had. The location is pristine and untouched; like Stone Harbor would have been 100 years ago. Lush vegitaion and mature trees abound. The beach was clean (except for the horseshoe crabs) and felt very private. We counted only 7 other umbrella on the entire beach so it was very private. The property, practically brand new, was most luxurious with an elevator for our parents. The kids enjoyed the kayaks and bikes. The sunsets were unique every day. We had unobstructed views from the great room and any of the waterview decks. Old Cape May was only minutes away so we got to enjoy the charms of that area. Harpoon Henry's restaurant was a short walk along the beach and had the best onion rings and cold beer. Staying at one of the most luxurious well kept homes we've vacationed at made for a very relaxing week. Perfect for a multi-gererational extended family. I would recommend it.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I vacationed at this property in June 2009. It is a beautiful house but we had many unresolved problems. The air conditioner did not work and because it is an "upside down" design, the main living area on the top floor was very warm. We could not get hot water in the kitchen sink and actually had to heat water on the stove to wash some of the dishes (on a positvie note...the kitchen was well eqipped for cooking). The listing promised a kayak and a few other things that were not available at the rental.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 17/23

My family and I stayed over the Memorial Day 2009 weekend and had an amazing time at this unbelievable beachfront property in the quiet Town Bank neighborhood (Cape May). The house is spectacular (we understand we were the first renters as the house was recently renovated). Everything is brand new and the owner spared no expense. 2 Master suites - each with jacuzzi, 3 other bedrooms, elevator, large jacuzzi spa, intercom system, surround sound system for living room, kitchen and outdoor deck, amazing kitchen with unrivaled view of the beach, and deck with Weber gas grill (connected to kitchen so no need for propane tank). We were a party of 10 and had plenty of room so that we were always comfortable. The house is located right on a semi-private beach that seems to be used only by residents/renters of the area and a few limited visitors (literally across the street with steps leading down onto beach). Property is also a very short drive to the Cape May Ferry, which goes into Lewes, DE. Also a short drive (about 15-20 minutes) to Wildwood boardwalk. The owner (whom we spoke to briefly) was very kind and helpful. Also, the listing agent was fantastic as she answered all of our questions and was extremly helpful and accomodating. All in all, a great opportunity to stay at a magnificent house right on the beach.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.
