About the owner: We are retired college professors who love the outdoors, history, archaeological sites, and working on our writing projects, as well as the food, art, literature, history, and peoples that make New Mexico what it is. When we're not here, we're in an old farmhouse in the woods of Vermont.
Why the Owner Chose Southeast:
We had lived and worked in New Mexico for a number of years, both in Las Vegas and Las Cruces. When visiting Santa Fe, we had rented close to the Plaza, but when we looked for our own home, we realized that the traffic downtown and limited parking for guests were not what we wanted for us. This home is an easy drive to the Plaza, to Museum Hill, to the Interstate, and to many outdoor areas for hiking and skiing. The neighborhood is quiet, and the home beautifully constructed. The diverse cultures of Santa Fe and New Mexico have enriched our lives in the past and give us a satisfaction that can seldom be found elsewhere.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We love hiking with our dog, visiting museums, eating at a variety of restaurants, and being close to a grocery store. We can also easily hop on the Interstate and drive to Albuquerque, the Pecos Wilderness, mining towns, and pueblos. When we're home, we can relax in its beautiful rooms, write or read in peace, and enjoy the view.
