Black Bear Lodge, one of the area's newest condo properties, has 25 luxury units at the base of Crested Butte Mountain. It is an ideal location -- the new quad Westwall Lift is directly across the street. This condo is a corner unit with magnificent views of four peaks to the South and West. Sitting in the living room with its oversized windows you see Crested Butte Mountain (12,162 feet), Mount Whetstone (12,516 feet), Mount Axtel (12,055 feet), and Mount Emmons (12,392 feet). Sunrises and sunsets are highlights of the day!
This condo is a second home and therefore fully-equipped and well furnished. In decorating our second home we paid great attention to detail in selecting furniture, the kitchen accessories, linens and towels, artwork, and decorations. You will feel at home in our warm and comfortable condo. In fact the in-floor radiant heat allows you to walk on the tile floors barefooted even on the coldest of days!
And speaking of heat - the underground heated garage is an extraordinary amenity! This condo is conveniently located on the lobby level. It is adjacent to the hot tub and a large stainless steel BBQ grill. You will also find ski equipment lockers just off the lobby, a convenient feature of Black Bear Lodge.
We furnished each bedroom with a Select Comfort queen-size bed that adjusts to your sleeping pleasure. Closets have built-in dressers and shelving to expand your living area. An Aero bed is provided for the fifth person. We limit the number of people to five.
Crested Butte is in a rugged area of the Colorado Rockies with some of the most incredible scenery in all the West. It is worth the trip just to enjoy the views! The condo is located in Mount Crested Butte which has an abundance of ski apparel and equipment specialty shops, along with popular restaurants at the base.
The Town of Crested Butte, three miles down the hill, has an array of quaint shops and numerous outstanding restaurants and taverns. The town is a National Historic District that started as a coal mining village. Its architectural charm has been preserved and you will feel like you have stepped back to the 1880s of the Wild Wild West.
While skiing is king in Crested Butte, the summer and fall seasons offer incredible weather and marvelous activities. Sightseeing, hiking, golfing and whitewater rafting are wonderful to do in the area during the warmer months.
Crested Butte has been designated the "Wildflower Capital of Colorado", so keep this in mind when you make your summer vacation plans. The area is known for its abundance of incredible hiking trails. Several trails are easy and start right from town. For the more adventuresome, you can even hike to Aspen in one day. |
