This place is amazing - even better in person. We had everything we needed inside (many "extras" we didn't expect) with incredible sunsets every evening outside. Comfortable beds, great hiking/walking, plenty of spots to enjoy the sun and read. Bonnie and George are so friendly and really know how to make you feel like a guest. Bring a camera to record your memories (you will have them!) and binoculars for wildlife watching. We are already planning our next trip!
Recommended for:Age 55+, girls getaway, pet owners, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

While the pictures accompanying the rental show the charm and artsiness of the bungalow, they can't capture how well the bungalow integrates into the desert landscape. When I woke up the next morning, I would have burst out into song (if I could sing). The view from every spot inside and outside is wonderful. The landscaping around the property is incredible and everything blends so well with the quirky, artsy touches everywhere. Lots of comfortable places to sit and relax and an incredible sense of privacy, especially if your outfit du jour is underwear. Easy walk into the surrounding BLM lands to view the sunrise and sunset. Bonnie and George were gracious and charming and obviously very happy to be living in JT. Checked out ten other properties before choosing this one, but on our next visit there will be only True World Bungalow.

What a beautiful place you have created at the True World Bungalow. We have enjoyed every minute in this comfortable, artistic welcoming retreat. We love your bungalow as a "homeaway" for one week during our winter escape from northern Germany. And loved the fresh air - cool at night - felt inspired by art - inside and outside. It's a quiet place in harmony with nature. It's a bright, airy place with Joshua Tree at a short driving distance, with the Mojave Desert as an endless open stage. It was a great pleasure staying here.

What an awesome place. All your attention to details and the artistic touches add to the atmosphere. It was perfect for a gathering of best friends to reunite, enjoy Joshua Tree and the high desert. I hope we can do it again.

My family chose True World Bungalow for our Christmas vacation and it was perfect. The location offers wide open vistas during the day and unbelievable star-gazing at night. Attention to detail and comfort by the owners, Bonnie & George, plus the eclectic furnishings, made it all just right. We had a great time.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the True World Bungalow this weekend. I just wanted to tell you that we had a wonderful time. He cooked and we ate on the table out front. We watched movies, both yours and some we brought. It was great, a much needed vacation for both of us! The bungalow is beautiful.

My girlfriend and I loved your place! You and your husband did such a great job building and decorating the place and you had everything we needed for a wonderful weekend stay. I think we can say that it was one of our favorite places to date on VRBO. Thank you for the lovely welcome gift of the wine and beer. Though, we only had one of the beers, it was still such a thoughtful touch. Looking forward to staying at your place again soon. Again, thank you!

The bungalow is charming, comfortable, convenient and has a great location. We found something new to discover and admire in every part of the bungalow throughout the entire weekend. Definitely, an asset of this location is being owned by the owner of an art gallery. Five stars to the bungalow join all the others in the sky that we couldn't see so well at home.

We have spent a wonderful, relaxing week here at the True World Bungalow. The space is so comfortable and visually enchanting - the great vistas in every direction are breathtaking. We really enjoyed taking our dog walking on the BLM land beyond the neighboring houses. At twilight it is magnificent. Thank you Bonnie and George for creating this beautiful place.
