  We visited Wintergreen over MLK weekend and had the perfect weekend. The pictures posted do not do the home justice. There were four adults in our group and the home was plenty big for another couple and kids. Home was clean and spacious with a wood-burning fireplace (home's best feature). The slopes are minutes away from the home and it is in close proximity to grocery stores and restaurants. We would definitely recommend this home for your trip to Wintergreen.

  The owner was extremely helpful and available before and during trip. There was a useful binder with local information. Kitchen exceeded expectations. Ample room for family of 5 although top bunk bed tough to get into. We recommend the following: Hiking at Wintergreen to see the waterfall Golf at Devils Knob Pool Natural bridge though don't walk to the waterfall Local wineries Poplar forest Devils backbone brewery for food and beer Blue ridge brewery has a beautiful setting and food and beer are great.

  What a great house to stay at. Every amenity you could possibly need. We had a great ski weekend with the kids and some extended family. The 8" of fresh snow didn't hurt either!! The layout of the house is good for kids. They can have their own time in the loft area while the big kids get warm by the fire!! This allowed us to spend the day skiing together but gave everyone some alone time once we got home. The house is close to everything and a short drive to the slopes if you desire. The shuttle ran regularly on the street also. We cooked dinner in each night and the open kitchen floor plan was wonderful. This allowed everyone, including the cook, to visit and relax as the day wound down. I cannot say enough good things about our stay. Rent this house and see for yourself!!

  The house was absolutely perfect for our family of 5. Only a 2 minute drive to the slopes it was a breeze to get the family to and from all of the action. We brought our 5,9 and 12 year old children to learn how to ski. They had a wonderful time. The staff at the resort was extremely helpful and friendly and made our first ski experience a pleasure. We also enjoyed the tubing, zip line and ice skating that the resort had to offer. The home was very cozy and comfortable with a great living room fireplace to add to the atmosphere. The nice big flat sceen was an added bonus. The owners were extremely accomodating. We will be back.

  We had a wonderful time at Wintergreen! The house has anything you could possibly need - making for a relaxing stay. It was easy to take the shuttle to anywhere on the mountain and the house was cozy and comfortable. Our visit was in the fall, before ski season and we were impressed with the number of things to do. It's a great house & a great place to visit any time!

  Our family had the privilege of staying in this lovely home this summer. We can't wait to come back!! This home has everything you need. The kitchen was wonderfully stocked. The bedrooms are a great size and very comfortable. This house has all the comforts of home. It is close to everything. We were in walking distance of several excellent trails. It was just a very short drive to longer trails. And while my sons were on that longer trail, I walked to the spa and had a wonderful adventure of my own (which I highly recommend!) It was also a short drive to one of the most lovely lakes I have ever been too. So beautiful! And a perfect spot for a family day. Pack a lunch and enjoy the day. The owners left a very helpful binder filled with recommendations of yummy places to eat and additional information about activities right in the area. We recommend the zip-line. These owners have thought of everything to help make your stay a very enjoyable one. I have recommended this place to many of my friends. If you are looking for a perfect weekend away, I highly recommend this home. The area has something for every season. We can't wait to go back.

  We tried to book a place for a last minute new years trip to wintergreen. Somehow we miraculously found this home available and booked it as quickly as possible. We were concerned at first because we had hoped for a "ski out" home right by the slopes... However, after arriving we were quickly at ease. This home is cozy and beautifully maintained. It is convenient to everything Wintergreen Resort has to offer including a short walk to a cafe, tennis courts, pool/ spa, and the shuttle route, and a very short, easy drive to the slopes! (or you can just walk to the resort shuttle and have them take you!) The home was equipped with everything we needed including plush towels, cozy beds, plenty of fire wood, and a great kitchen with all the supplies we could use! The owners were beyond pleasant, and made everything from reserving the home, to checking out an enjoyable and relaxing experience for us!

  This was our first visit to Wintergreen! It was just what we were looking for. This house was so ideal for romp on the slopes with the kids. It's warm and welcoming. Clean and comfortable, and has everything we could have needed and more. The bedrooms were a good size, the fire kept us cozy. We made many big family meals together in the very well equipped kitchen, after great days of.... skiing,tubing and even swimming in the pool! The house is 5 min to all of the activities. So we did them all!!! I would recommend getting all the groceries you think you'll want before heading up the mountain only because I didn't want to spend the time going back to town ( about 30 min) and miss any of the fun. There is a little store ( again 5 min) that has any little items you may have forgot..which we did and it had what we needed. We couldn't have picked a better mountain retreat. Were booking our next stay here already.

  My friends were looking for some quality time away from our hectic lives in Manhattan and wanted to find a quiet escape. We booked a long weekend at this home and couldn’t have been more pleased. It’s conveniently located on the top of the mountain, near the lifts and spa (bonus for us girls!) and has great views from their wraparound porch. Right when we walked in, we were greeted with a note from the owners welcoming us to their mountain escape. They also provided personal touches that made it feel like we were staying at a resort hotel; welcome basket filled with Virginia made products, water at the bedside, and all the toiletries you would need. It’s those personal touches that you know you are in good hands. The home was super clean and had plenty of space for us to relax. The layout of the home was perfect. There are 2 full baths, on each floor which is super convenient! There is also a two story living room with fireplace that we nestled around with wine and cheese at night and then an updated kitchen with a huge stove top island that we gathered around in the mornings for coffee and pancakes. The homeowners were great to work with; very responsive and have southern charm written all over them. We all had such a good time that we literally didn't want to leave! If you're looking for a house in Wintergreen, I strongly recommend this one!
