Casa Lapa is a one-story home located steps away from the sandy beaches of the Golfo Dulce. The newly built home has a full kitchen and dining area / living room, single bathroom, and one bedroom with a double bed and one set of bunk beds and a single bed and sleeps up to five in beds. This is an open-air, open-floor plan home located 200 meters from the beach and nestled in manicured tropical gardens. Casa Lapa has eco-friendly solar power generation with an AC inverter to enable the use of conventional appliances, though we ask our guests to refrain from the use of hair dryers and comparable energy-consumptive appliances. The house has lighting, fans, and refrigeration. Mosquito netting for the beds is standard and the house includes full sets of linens and kitchenware.

Unfortunately, we booked this property and it was only after we paid the management company and met the owner were we led to a 'cabin' beside this property. The owner was in fact living in the property and the what we had paid for was not what you see in these photos!! The location is lovely, but remote and after an 8 hour drive from San Jose, it was very disheartening. I suggest you check with the agency and confirm if this property is still inhabited by the owner. The agency and owner were quick to try to make amends but sadly it did sour the start of our trip.Owner response: Following a property sale, the former listing (Casa Platanilla) was updated as it was indeed occupied by the new owner; the current listing is one of two budget rentals that are located on this property, and the description is current. Our regrets to the correspondent, but we were also surprised, having handled rentals for the previous owner for five years and unaware of the structural changes, and as noted issued refunds and did everything in our power to make things as right as possible. Everything is current now, and we welcome you to come and stay at Casa Lapa.
