My GF and I stayed at this special place for 6 weeks(!), so we got a good flavor of the location and surroundings. First off the house is nicely laid out and conducive to outdoor living, with a wonderful veranda with a build in napping/couch area. Perfect for a siesta in the hot afternoon. I called it my GF's "corner office" cause she would surf the net and Skype friends while laying out. We did not wear much except sarongs. The pool is great with an outdoor shower, the kitchen has everything you need and the WiFi is strong. Washer/Dryer works fine and you need a good one in CR, because of road dust. You will need a 4x4 car or ATV, as the house is up a hill and 15 min. to town and 5 min to the first beach. The beaches are great for swimming, surfing and fishing. Oh, and laying out on the huge 2 person chaise lounges, on the lower deck, looking at the stars is something you will NEVER forget. Huge tip: Hire Jorge to be you car and driver, he is cheaper than a car rental, he knows the area and will get you the best prices on stuff. House is open air, no window screens, but not really a problem, mosquitoes were not an issue (Jan-Feb). The sun rises right into the upstairs bedroom, with a bug net and a curtain over the bed, so you will be up early, but that is what you want. Get down to the beach, before mid-day heat! Get fresh eggs from next door too. Trisha and Jorge are wonderful hosts and will do everything to make your stay special! Plus they have the list of best restaurants! Already miss it and can't wait to return!!

We had a lovely time in this beautiful home. Trisha and Jorge are fabulous hosts, and their help made all the difference. We were 3 adults and 2 young kids (ages 5 and 1 1/2). We spent most of our week relaxing in the hammocks and splashing in the pool. We enjoyed hearing monkeys and birds during the day and stargazing at night. The home is beautifully designed and sighted to take advantage of the ocean view and catch ocean breezes. Be aware, this is the tropics. While mosquitos aren't a problem, tiny ants manage to get into everything (they don't bite, but they are a nuisance). We would absolutely recommend this home to friends!

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful house near Cabuya, Costa Rica in November 2012. We had an amazing time there ! It's quiet, peaceful and close to beautiful beaches and a nice river where you can swim with the kids. The view from the house is simply stunning ! Each morning you wake up with the sunrise on the ocean bathing the house with morning light. The owners are very welcoming and can help you find everything you need in the area. Sincerely, it's a must !

My husband and I stayed at this amazing home for 6 weeks in Feb and March. We work from home so this was perfect for us (fast wifi connection). The home is set up with anything that you might need to live comfortably and entertain and work. Jorge and Trisha were fantastic hosts and became fast friends on our visit. They responded quickly to requests and made great recommendations, making it easy to discover the insiders Costa Rica. From suggesting festivals to tips on the short cuts to the beach and helping us buy used surf boards, they were very helpful. An asset that is priceless, above and beyond the best guide books. The home has a spectacular view and enjoys a lovely breeze, we rarely used the ceiling fans! The pool is stunning and great for just relaxing, not too deep so good for kids. With two bathrooms and laundry, we were able to spread out never felt cramped. The gas range is amazing and you can't beat the view of the ocean while frying eggs in the morning. The community is lovely, family friendly and welcoming. We had fresh eggs from the neighbour and papaya, plantains, and passion fruit from the home's gardens. The walk up and down the hill got us in shape and we saw many monkeys, birds, and gorgeous butterflies each day. Located between Cabuya and Montezuma there are amazing restaurants and bakeries near by. We used a car, and took taxis which are affordable and convenient. We look very forward to returning in the next year. We totally fell in love with the area and are excited to go back.

My husband and I spent almost two weeks at this wonderful house in January and can not express how perfect it is. It is located at the top of a steep hill (great for workouts!) and allows for beautiful views of the ocean from almost every room in the house. The kitchen is well equipped and allowed us to cook most evenings and enjoy dinner at the wonderful outdoor living area. The house is secluded and allows you to feel like you are truly getting away from it all yet close enough to Montezuma and Santa Theresa that you can get your fill of touristy activities if you want. Both Trisha and Jorge were extremely helpful with planning our trip and went out of their way to make sure that all of our needs were met. This is the perfect house if you are looking for comfort, tranquility, and cleanliness off the beaten path from the more touristy areas of Costa Rica.

I stayed in this great house for 3 nights in Dec 2011, with my wife, 2 yro son, 2 friends with their 5 yro daughter and 2 months old newborn. The house is beautiful, the pics doesn't do justice as to how nice the house really is. The house is fully equipped, great wi-fi connection if you bring a laptop, the swimming pool is awesome and very refreshing on a hot day. The house is located on the mountains of Montezuma and altitude provides a great ocean breeze, (it was 10 degrees cooler than the beach). Awesome ocean view and if you are a morning person you can see a perfect sunrise while swinging in the hammocks. If you are going to drive there, I would recommend a 4x4, the road to get to the house is very steep and you may have issues going up specially during rainy season. Downtown montezuma is a short drive from the house, along the way there are a few secluded beaches with tide pools (they were the best). We bought a lot of food and fresh fish and mostly cook in the house, the owners built a nice grill very close to the pool, so you can pretty much cook and swim at the same time. One of the best parts is that at night, if you turn off the lights and seat outside you can see almost any start on the sky! It was breath-taking and phenomenal!! We stayed sitting outside for hours watching the sky and enjoying the night's ocean breeze. Thank you very much to the owners Trisha and Jorge, they were extremely helpful and accommodated all our needs specially traveling with children and recommended things to do in the area. We can't wait to return.

The house was beautiful and very well maintained with all the amenities needed for an awesome vacation. Both rooms have great views of the ocean, very comfortable beds and nice clean bathrooms . The pool was my favorite part considering that the weather is very hot in March and it keeps you cool during the peak hours of the day. If you want a real Costa Rican vacation this house is perfect for you. It is tucked up on the hillside of Montezuma in the middle of the extravagant rain forest that covers that side of the country. The natural landscape that the house is built between made my vacation a blessing. There is lots of wildlife and things to see in Montezuma and I definitely recommend using this place as a home-base for your adventure!!!

We spent a beautiful week here in February. Trisha was very helpful with the booking and plans and Jorge did anything he could to help ensure we had a great time (including bringing us some delicious fresh tuna!). As others have said, the house is nearly new, with beautiful views, birds, iguanas, sweet Osa (their Golden Retriever we fell in love with) and private pool to complete the experience. There is as much or as little to do in the area, with a few great restaurants in town as well. We took this trip to chill out, so spent most of our time walking on the beach and laying low. Which brings me to the one potential short-coming. The house sits up on a hill in a "rural" location, but there are neighbors. And, it should be known, that most neighbors have chickens and dogs. Unfortunately, the roosters haven't learned to only signal the sunrise, and can be heard (along with dog barking) morning, noon, and night. Jorge actually brought us earplugs - which we really appreciated. So, if you're looking for quiet solitude, this may not be the place for you. If you want a beautiful spot with great views, a pool, terrific hosts and a base to explore from, it could be perfect.

Owner response: So sorry to hear about the noise. We spoke with the neighbor about the dog, which was just tied to a tree and they have given it away to a more loving family (for what it's worth!)

What a wonderful vacation! The house is gorgeous; perfectly situated for panoramic views of the ocean. You can watch a breathtaking sunrise from your bed in the master bedroom, spend the day exploring gorgeous private beaches, Montezuma, the waterfall, etc, then return for a sunset dinner on the deck, swing in a hammock, and take a dip in the pool while you watch the moon rise over the ocean. The house is very clean, beautifully designed, and has a great hot shower. We can't wait to come back!

We spent 4 nights in this lovely house, which is situated on the coast and close to montezuma town. The area has some of the best sights, but due to the hilly and quite rough roads, a quad or car is definitely a good idea if you're not a hiker/extremely fit! :) If you just want to chill out, the owners are very helpful and nothing is too much to ask. The house itself is beautiful, brand new, spotlessly clean and they are working to make it even more lovely! The pool is perfect for the heat, the bedrooms are spacious and comfortable, and the outdoor living is a breath of fresh air, especially lying in the hammocks when the sun is too strong. Altogether a beautiful spot close to an up and coming town, with beautiful beaches just down the hill (seriously quick with a quad) :D

I stayed in this clean, beautiful newly constructed house in Delicious for 2 weeks last March. My daughter & I had a marvelous vacation & we would HIGHLY recommed this home. The home is clean, comfortable, airy & equipped with the modern conviences of home. There is a beautiful open dining/living area overlooking the ocean & a refreshing pool steps away. I especially enjoyed sipping my morning coffee watching the sun rise. I spent much time relaxing in the hammock. The kitchen is very functional & we chose to cook at home & ate lots of local fish & fresh fruit. We also dined & partied in downtown Montezuma, it's a totally FUN town. The property is conviently locted just a short drive to Montezuma, Cabuya, Santa Teresa and Mal Pais. There is lots of things to do in this area and Jorge & Trisha were both VERY helpful with recommending & scheduling activities. We did the zip line, horseback riding & surf lessons all of which our hosts planned for use. We also spent many days just swimming & collecting shells @ the beach, hiking to the waterfalls and just hanging out with the locals & x-pats. Overall, truly a magical vacation, which could not have happened without our hosts. I HIGHLY recommend this proprety for your upcomming trip..

We had a really great time. The house itself is beautiful (basically brand new and spotless) - really great hardwoods, outdoor gathering space, hammocks, huge deck, big kitchen, pool, tons of surrounding foliage etc. and sits on top of a hill that provides a really amazing view over the ocean. It was quiet and secluded up there but also close enough to the beach and Montezuma to jump in whenever we wanted.
