We stayed in this rental last year and I am really missing it this year! Wish we could go back! Everything was so beautiful in the home and having 2 teen boys it was nice for them each to have their own bathroom and bedroom. My parents even stayed with us in the lower half of the home! This home was everything I would expect to see in Kauai, all of the decor was just perfect for the location! Tons of lizards all around the property, such beautiful plants and flowers! The views were beautiful as you sat on one deck with mountain views and the other deck it was such a nice hide away to just relax. Such a short walk to the beach where we saw turtles right away. The only problem we had was the air stopped working although Lisa got some one on it right away! It was very nice to walk the beach every evening to watch the sunset. Lisa had a lot of boards, gear for snorkeling, coolers, and beach chairs in the closet below the stairs! We did not need a thing! If we come back to Kauai, we will stay here again! One thing to remember is don't walk out of the house without your key! The front door locks. There is a small store near by and make sure you sign up for their card to get a discount and visit the Rum factory on the island! There is so much to do here! Thank you for a beautiful place to stay! It is hard to find other homes as beautiful as this one!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Hi Lisa, I can't tell you how much we enjoyed our stay . The house fit us perfectly!! Everyone was very at home and sad to leave. We are at the Grand Hyatt Kauai for a few days before we go home but actually we love the peace of the north shore. Yes! I want to book for next year and would love some suggestions. We really liked the neighborhood we were in. We found ourselves walking way down Alealea to the beach to avoid some wind but the family liked the snorkeling out in front best. My husband will be fully retired next June and we would be interested in a smaller place for the two of us for at least a month. It's hard to know now about the families and their schedules but we can keep in touch, thank you for your help and we'd be interested in your ideas for small placed, take care.Did you find this review helpful? "Pohaku is even more beautiful than the photos. We loved everything about the home: the 5-star accommodations and furnishings, the privacy, and surroundings. The home had everything we needed and more. Bali Hai Realty was very helpful and available to provide personal service if you wanted it. Although we had a car, we also enjoyed walking the short distance to the beach and the Mediterranean Gourmet restaurant. The closeness to the wonderful town of Hanalei with its great shops and restaurants, and Kee Beach, Tunnels Beach, and the Kalahau Trail was greatly appreciated. The beautiful scenery with waterfalls, sapphire blue ocean, golden sand beaches, and verdant green mountains was a feast for sore eyes. The friendly little red-crested cardinals greeted us every day. After our 2nd vacation to Kauai, we miss it even more. We hope to return soon. This ancient island exemplifies the most dramatically beautiful place on earth!"Did you find this review helpful?
