Located on a two block street between Golden Gate and Sutro Parks.Three blocks up is the prettiest view of the Golden Gate Bridge while standing on the bluffs to the entrance to the bay. It's a family neighborhood with a 24 hour Safeway grocery store and Walgreens. 2 blocks up starts the 38 busline that brings you straight downtown to Union Square or a short walk through GG Park to MUNI that brings you to the Embarcadero, the street with the ballpark, Easy access to the whole city and a well kept secret...we have street parking. There is parking for renters in front of the building and in the driveway. The beds are new queen SERTA brand with at least 300 count cotton sheets, soft throws and pillows. The art is real and eclectic. Leather couch for watching the fireplace or HDTV with HBO & SHOWTIME. A new portable dishwasher and a shared washer/dryer in the garage will keep things simple. Huge windows to enjoy watching the Pacific and it's surfers, windsurfers, whales and sunsets. You can see the Farallon Islands and hear seals when they are on Seal Rock. Seal Rock is next to the famous Cliff House Restaurant, a five minute walk through Sutro Park brings you there or have fresh omelettes with homemade muffins at the Seal Rock Inn or ham & eggs at Louie's while looking down on Sutro Baths,,,all a short walk. The DeYoung museum in Golden Gate Park and the Legion of Honor Museum in the Presidio are wonderfully close and if you and your family like hikes or even just a walk, then this is the place and neighborhood for you. If you want the noisy nightlife I'd recommend the downtown hotels. We have incredible restaurants from every part of the world and so much more. Please look at #330384 for our other apartment on Sutro Hts.

Here's the good: Great view of the beach from the deck. It's close to a couple bus lines that are a few blocks away. There are a parks nearby if you want to go hiking. The passcode locks were a nice touch. Now for the bad: This is a deceptive ad. The livingroom is not hardwood as the pictures show. You'll notice that there are no pictures of the bathrooms or kitchen on here (for good reason). You won't necessarily get everything they advertise. This is like a Motel 6 with a great view. First, the unit is very outdated. Pink and yellow tile bathrooms. Deck is noticeably old with railing wire that's broken. Terrible Southwest pastel artwork (they call "original") is on the walls. The parking was difficult and a car nearby was broken into while we were there. The shower is tiny. It's so small that I couldn't raise my elbows to either side. The master bathroom is so small that you can reach out to the sides and touch both sides of the bathroom. The noise here is absolutely awful. You can lay in bed and listen to the conversations or television in the above unit. Every step they take will rattle your room. Unfortunately, teenagers were staying in the unit above us and they were up until 430am each night. They played videogames, instruments, and had girls squealing. We banged on the ceiling to no avail. Even during the day when they weren't being loud, it was still very annoying just to hear them talking and walking around all the time. SF Holiday Rentals did not repair issues that we discovered when we got there. The bathtub was clogged (massive hairball), the internet didn't work, the dishwasher wasn't hooked up, and the television went out. It took emailing and calling SF Holiday before they responded. (Contacted on a Tuesday morning and they repaired the tub Thursday night.) SF Holiday never did repair the internet or the television. I would recommend avoiding this unit and probably would avoid anything with SF Holiday. I wish someone had warned us about this place. So I'm warning you now. Don't stay here unless it's a last resort or you just want to see the ocean. It's not as advertised and you'll get terrible service if something goes wrong. It seems that the management company has to contact the owner before they can take action on any repairs that are needed. That's just ridiculous.Did you find this review helpful? Why Richmond:
We have lived in this property for almost 30 years. Instead of renting long term we chose to share it with other then our friends and family...it's truly a special part of San francisco with easy access to Marin through the beautiful Presidio and am happy doing nothing but watching the ocean. My cousins lived here before me so I was lucky to find it and eventually buy it and spiff it up.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
The views. 180 degrees of the Pacific and above Golden Gate Park make it ideal for families wanting to enjoy the outdoors or anyone wanting access to the cultural highlights like the DeYoung, Legion of Honor, golf, restaurants and mass transit can take you anywhere you desire.
