                    I enjoyed my stay at this house very much. The landlords were great also, often fixing or rearranging items to meet my needs quickly. I would recommend this location to anyone. I also enjoyed Springfield tremendously. The park is near and offers a nice peaceful setting. The neighborhood is quiet, clean and there is a fire station 2 blocks away in case of an emergency.

                    Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, people with disabilities, families with teenagers, families with young children, adventure seekers, pet owners.

                    The front outside of the house is cute & the kitchen is updated…that is the extent of the positive comments I can make. In hindsight, things I wish I had noticed when researching a place to stay are…for an ad that includes so many descriptive features & amenities, few pictures are posted and those seem to be carefully cropped. For example, there are none of the surrounding outside area w/ the exception of the front of the home & home to the left; the back deck/yard picture is taken at an odd angle & the upstairs front porch points to the home on the left. Perhaps the reason is because most of the surrounding area is extremely run-down & un-kempt. Only 2 of the other homes on the entire street are in decent shape. FYI, those parks may be within walking distance (for some people), but are not within sight of the house. This property is in the Springfield area of Jax. During & since my visit, I’ve yet to find one person–other than the property owners–who have anything positive to say about the entire area. The inside…the house is sparsely furnished w/ cheap college-student & hand-me-down type furniture. The master bedroom furniture MAY not fall into this category & note that you get THREE views of this bedroom in the 12 photos posted because that’s the only bedroom bordering on acceptable. Even though one of the pictures of this bedroom seems to have a different spread 7 throw pillow, curtain closed, rug added, red throw added & items removed from the night-stand…trust me, it’s the same room. Gosh, could it be that someone is trying to make you think that this is one of the other bedrooms & that those rooms, too, are okay? The other bedrooms are quite a bit less desirable than this one. Note the odd angle of the Master Bath pic…doesn’t show you anything but the vanity. And from being in that room, I don’t know how anyone could take that picture from that angle unless they’re 7 feet tall or standing on the bed or a chair. See that piece of furniture in the lower left corner of the pic…that’s the TOP of the armoire. I am a woman of 5’5” & I had to reach up to place my jewelry on top of the dusty armoire. WHY would the floor & bathtub not be included in the pic?? Then you have 2 shots of the dining area –another almost borderline acceptable room. But gosh, w/ so much to offer–why give 3 pics of one room, 2 of another (one poorly lit), 2 of a park–out of 12 pictures?? Might’ve forgiven the cheap college student furniture if the place was clean…it was not

                    Owner response: This person is just upset because we would not refund her deposit. She sent us an email that she would be posting to any website she could find with a negative review. She called, and emailed back and forth prior to her arrival. We did everything possible to accomidate her every need. She only stayed at the property one night leaving without calling or communicating with us other than a note taped to the door which said "You guys are really sweet & the house is cute, but the area just isn't for us. I need a place where my son can run around outside & I can stroll him around the sidewalks. I don't feel comfortable doing that if it's just the two of us. Thank you and Take care "X" P.S. Key is in the mailbox". As soon as we found the note and property abondened and left unsecure we called "X" right away. We did not charge her more than the one night she was there however we kept the deposit since we turned several others away. The community is very safe and wonderful. In fact we live behind the property on the next street. She has a small child and he would love the other kids in the community. It's too bad she didn't give the neighboor a chance and decided to slander us anyway possible. We even pride ourselves on the best standards possible. This is just one of those times it's imposible to make the customer happy. We haven tons of other pictures and are happy to share them. Sometimes it's hard to take a picture of a small room but that's why we have so many of one area. Please note this person is complaining about placing her jewlry on a armoire. Why not use the night stand or dresser? We spent over $30,000 on furnishings and have receipts. My partner and I personally cleaned the house prior to her arrival. It was extremly clean. She agreed to the property in email (writing), over the phone, and when is arrived. Then to up and leave within 24 hours with no communication and to leave a note and key in the mailbox. This says alot for this person. Please keep this in mind when you read there testimonial. I wish there is a way to warn other property owners about this renter.

                    "We found a home away from home with our rental home,two bedrooms, and office with 2 and 1/2 baths. We were close to the Proton Center and were able to entertain. We had a big yard and deck, and a large kitchen to die for. Cable TV with a huge screen, and internet to keep in touch back home.We stayed and did not go home every weekend (to save gas) it was so comfortable in Springfield. The Landlords were so helpful, and live across the street. The were ready with everything we needed. You will not find a better place to stay while getting your Proton treatment. We were there from December 11th to February 11th, and had Christmas tree and lights on the double decker porches."

                    "We stayed at the 1502 N. Laura address. The large, roomy two-story home with three bedrooms, 2.5 baths, double-decker porches in front and hardwood deck with fire pit in the rear, fenced-in yard, had all the amenities of home. We were able to take our office and pets to Jacksonville and continue on as if we were in our own familiar surroundings. Most important, however, was the kindness of the landlords. They helped us with everything from where to shop, how to have our vehicle repaired, find a veterinarian for our pets, and even feed our pets when we were unavoidably detained far from Jacksonville on one occasion. The landlords made our stay in Jacksonville a great experience."
